Our Story

Kidstir’s founder Aparna Pande has an extensive career of creating content for families, having worked for Mattel, Meredith (owner of Parents Magazine), and Disney. She had a personal reason for starting Kidstir: As a mother of twin boys, she understood the importance of a healthy connection to food in kids. About the Seller

About Me: I am a mom, educator and entrepreneur. I have a degree in elementary education and worked in the school system for several years before catching the entrepreneurial bug. I recently finished the Launch accelerator program at UNC which helped make Wonder Crate a reality!

My Why: We live in an age of influence. Between YouTube, social media and 24/7 media, kids are constantly being influenced by outside sources. We are Ana and Joe, parents of 5 wonderful children. As full-time working parents, we have struggled with being able to get creative around fun-yet-educational activities for kids. We found that in many of our children’s activities, life skills were long lost and forgotten. Our Story

For over 13 years, I Create Art has been teaching art classes & camps. With our designed curriculum, children of all ages have benefited from our studio classes. For ages 4 years to teens (and adults too) the I Create Art method has proven to be successful. Now you can benefit from our lesson plans. It's like having an art class delivered monthly to your door!

Each box is laid out with you & your child in mind. Easy to follow instructions for younger ages that are adaptable for older ages & various skill levels. Challenge a friend to a game of Wild Turkey Race. This game practices counting, adding, and using a number line all through play. Design and create a hideout for your pumpkin-scented play dough turkey, Mr. Gobble using a bag full of loose pieces. Finally, get outside this fall and collect items from nature that have different colors and textures. Then use that to make a sensory turkey craft that will engage your toddler's sense of touch.

My Body Crate

Curious little toddlers and preschoolers want to know how everything works. This crate allows them to look inside their own bodies and see how it all works! Make a body suit they can wear to learn about the organs inside their body and how they work. Make a model of their hand to see how the muscular and skeletal systems work together to move their fingers. Finally, a necessary skill for little ones is brushing and flossing those baby teeth. I have a two year old. Do you recommend this crate for them?

The activities in these crates are designed for children 3 to 5 years old. The crates often include small balls or small parts that can be choking hazards and therefore we don't recommend these crates for two year olds.

How many children can use one crate?

The crates are designed for one child. With that said, several families with siblings or twins have made one crate work. It is a great opportunity to work on teamwork and sharing.

Are the activities reusable?

Many of the items are reusable (games and sensory bins), but the crafts are one-time activities.
