She actually places them on the board to see how they interact. I think 2 is a perfect age for it, but it could just be my kid. Be warned though, this toy is loud. My kid loves it, but family movie movie night pauses while the gears are in play.

Answer:	Hi- The best way to wash Yoee Baby is to put it in a lingerie bag and wash on a gentle/delicate cycle on COLD water, then tumble dry on a NO HEAT/AIR setting. You are probably referring to a review from about 18 months ago with misprinted instructions. That mistake was corrected right away and the current instructions for washing are correct.
