A Lincoln welder helmet is a type of welding helmet or welding mask produced by the Lincoln Electric Company, a well-known and reputable manufacturer of welding equipment and related products. Here's what you need to know about Lincoln welder helmets:
Welding Protection: Lincoln welder helmets are designed to provide protection to welders during welding processes. They serve as a shield to protect the welder's eyes, face, and neck from sparks, intense light, and potentially harmful UV and IR radiation generated during welding.
Auto-Darkening Technology: Many Lincoln welder helmets are equipped with auto-darkening technology. This means that the helmet's lens automatically darkens when it detects the arc light from the welding process. This feature provides convenience and safety by eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
Variable Shade Levels: Lincoln welder helmets often offer variable shade levels that can be adjusted to suit different welding processes and brightness levels. This flexibility allows welders to work with various materials and welding techniques.
Sensitivity and Delay Settings: These helmets typically have sensitivity and delay settings that control how quickly the lens darkens and how long it remains dark after welding stops. These settings can be customized to match the welder's preferences and requirements.
Comfort and Fit: Lincoln welder helmets are designed with comfort in mind. They usually have adjustable headgear and padding to ensure a secure and comfortable fit for the wearer, even during long welding sessions.
Safety Standards: Lincoln Electric is known for producing helmets that meet or exceed safety standards, ensuring that welders are adequately protected during their work. These helmets are often ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and/or CE (Conformité Européene) certified.
Helmet Styles: Lincoln Electric offers a variety of helmet styles, including traditional welding helmets and modern auto-darkening helmets. Some models also come with a grinding mode, allowing for use in non-welding tasks like grinding and cutting.
Lens Clarity: The quality of the lens in a welding helmet is crucial for visibility during welding.Lincoln welder helmets typically feature high-quality lenses that provide clear vision when the lens is in the non-darkened state.
Brand Reputation: Lincoln Electric is a well-respected brand in the welding industry, known for its durable and reliable welding equipment, including helmets. Many professional welders trust the brand for their welding protection needs.
Price Range: Lincoln welder helmets come in a range of prices, catering to both professional welders and hobbyists. The price often varies based on the helmet's features and capabilities.
When choosing a Lincoln welder helmet, it's essential to consider your specific welding requirements, such as the type of welding you do, the materials you work with, and your comfort preferences. Lincoln Electric offers a range of options to suit different welding applications and budgets.

User questions & answers
Question: | How big is the lens |
Answer: | i have run 3 together for parties on higher settings for over 5 hours and not killed a 20lb tank. its our most efficient burner. i'd think 6-8 hours easily and more than 10 if not trying to burn 3' high flames. you'll love it i promise and if you dont, send it back.. my favorite of our kits! |
Question: | Will this work with prescription glasses |
Answer: | https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778R95CK?ref=myi_title_dp |
Question: | Is it available in plain black |
Answer: | These flame way above the top of the torch providing your gas supply is good. We had snuffers attached with a chain and they burnt thru the chain in about 30sec the first time lit. They are pretty impressive. We have 4 across our 20x40 patio and it provided enough light to play cornhole |
Question: | Does it have a grinder mode |
Answer: | The torch should work with out that part. That is a defuser I believe. Helps as well when windy! Love these torches best investment ever, just wish I had 2 more on other side of the pool I like them so much! A little piece of Hawaii in Upstate NY! |

User questions & answers
Question: | will it fit a 7 5/8 head |
Answer: | yes, like most wick source flames, we can pull out more for a larger flame and pull it down for a smaller flame. the fuel you use will also affect the size of the flame. we are now using/making our own alcohol based fuel to reduce the amount of black smoke (which was quite a bit with 8 torches going in our yard); the alcohol flame is less robust than when using Tiki fuel, but we just made the wick longer and it was fine. our smog problem is pretty much gone now too. |
Question: | Will it fit 7 1/2 head |
Answer: | When Dr. Frankenstein was performing experiments on the dead in his castle above our village, we used these. Unfortunately, the fuel oil at that time didn't burn as brightly as it does now, nor did we have the ability to use citronella scented torches at that time. Whether or not citronella can ward off Frankenstin's Monster can therefore only be conjectured. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What size is the helmet |
Answer: | Hard to answer. I haven't used them much. Love the idea but the flame I get from these is not good. The flame is so small (even with the wick out about two inches) is insufficient to keep bugs away. |
Question: | Es de carga solar |
Answer: | I've only had one bottle break and I think it might of already had a Crack in the top. Brass part does get hot but not enough to break the bottle unless it's thin glass. |
Question: | does this have a kind mode, visible grinding |
Answer: | Huh?? How many feet tall are they? Ok here's some 3rd grade remedial math for YOU to calculate (that's math lingo for "to figure out") your question. Take the height they say in the ad which is 66". (that " funny looking symbol means inches) and divide it by 12. If you remember there is 12" (inches) in 1 foot. So now here's the hard part. Without a calculator put 66 over 12 meaning divide 66 into 12. Never mind,...whoever asked that question would definitely be using a calculator, so type in (wait, turn it on first) ok start over. Type in 66, then press the divide sign. That's the one that has a horizontal line with a dot on top of the line and another below. Now here's the big important step. Next you press this sign,( = ). That's the special button that makes you the answer. After pressing that button your answer will be 5.5. So that's feet and, well here's another tricky part for you. The ( .5 ) means a half. So the Final Answer is that the torch is... FIVE and ONE HALF FEET TALL or also said as... FIVE and a HALF FOOT TALL. I hope this helps you out and it didn't blow your mind. |
Question: | How many sensor’s does this helmet have |
Answer: | Thank you.....in 2013 there was no video..Or pic with cover. |

User questions & answers
Question: | are all 4 arc sensors located across the top of the lenses assembly |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | How long is the warranty |
Answer: | Contrary to the previous answers, some models ARE solar powered and some are solar powered with battery backup, and I'm not referring to the photo sensors that trigger the auto darkening. If yours has a battery door it is battery backup, no battery door means it is solar powered only(the solar power will charge an internal battery). Charging in direct sunlight might be excessive. An indoor light will do. Turn the helmet off by putting it in grinder mode when charging. If you want to test it, turn the helmet on(not in grinder mode) and point a tv remote at the sensors on the front and press and hold down one of the buttons on the remote. The IR light from the remote will trigger the auto darkening. |
Question: | Is this rated for overhead welding |
Answer: | Absolutely it adjusts to fit s |
Question: | where can i find replacement lens covers for this hood |
Answer: | I returned mine because the lens was all scratched when I got it. But no, I don't think there is a grind setting on this one. I believe there was just the normal darkness knob on the outside - all too dark to grind |
