Question:	Does this station worksbfrom 220 V supply
Answer:	Why would you spend $100 to light a bong when you can buy a nice $20 butane torch or a $5 soldering iron if that's what you want to use. This soldering iron would be capable of heating to around 300C. That's more than enough heat to ignite a plant based material. Is it the best? Probably not. Is it safe to use a soldering iron to ignite plant based material? I don't know im not a doctor. The problem is that if you want to keep a tip that heats well then you need to keep solder on the tip or it will burn out and not transfer heat. TLDR: use a butane torch.

Can't say if it's real or not, but that gives it a higher vote of confidence.Quick followup edit, I just took mine apart and confirmed it's real. Real stations use the R5F1007C chip. Fakes are known to use AVRs or PICs. Mine was purchased from ness electronics.

Answer:	I can only tell you that it worked through dry wall and It did recognize the wood studs around a door. And it worked exactly as described. I suspect that it will work through plaster, but I have no plaster in my house. I looked for the studs around the door to make sure that it worked.

It's cheaper than this one. If you're looking for an electronic repair soldering iron with super precise temp control and you just need to fix a single stained glass lamp...this is a nice compromise.

Answer:	It is unclear, however we need to qualify the negative responses. This quest results from a EEVBlog post in which the "expert" electronics blogger plugged his north american device(110v-60hz) unit "accidentally" into an australian(he is in australia) 230v-50hz outlet. In north america the outlet between 110v and 220v,240v are utterly different and cannot inadvertantly be plugged in. If there is an over current situation your breaker panel will pop.

Question:	Do the clips stay tight ? Have to tighen them down multiple times
Answer:	I found it advantageous having a soldering iron that has a control for the heat when I work on circuit boards. A stand alone unit with no controls can get too hot and transfer heat to other parts of a circuit board and ruin the work. I also like the holder with the base to keep the soldering iron off of the work station surface. The damp sponge in it's holder is useful for a quick clean up of the tip when too much solder accumulates. Having extra tips allows me to choose a tip small enough to keep the heat right were it is needed.
Question:	Can I easily screw off arms if desired
Answer:	There is no temperature control. It just has a power control, with no feedback. So the temperature will change wildly, getting hot when in the holder, and cooling off a lot when soldering. Get something with a digital readout, it is the only way to be sure it has feedback controlled temperature.
