Answer:	Hello TechGuy, Your Alumaloy rod meltdown is around 865 to 1240 degree F. The Weller 80 Watt Solder has a maximum 900 degree F. I probably use a solder that has a higher wattage that can go beyond 1,000 degree F. Thanks ! Jameco Electronics.

Answer:	It comes with a 1/4" tip. I like a smaller tip to be preferable for my soldering, (Tiffany style), smaller, less heavy seams lines. The problem I had was with the regulator stand itself (heat controller built into the stand as opposed to being built-in to the soldering iron itself). The stand element went out on the control unit stand within a couple of uses. No discernible reason, just stopped working. I plugged in the iron and it never got hot. Plugged it into another regulator, and the iron heated up, so it had to be the stand. I bought a HAKKO FX-601 and have used it repeatedly with no problems. It has a dial to adjust the temp you want on the handle and it maintains the temp. Slightly more pricy but worth it. I want dependability.I still use the Weller stand for holding my solder irons, but not as a temperature control unit. So for what it is worth, there you are.

How to solder

1. Prepare LDK soldering stand and soldering iron; Keep the iron tip clean, without any oxides and carbides, applying tin to plate on the surface, especially the first time
2. Please wet the sponge before using
3. Use the soldering iron to heat the weldment, such as PCB leads and pads, and keep the weldment heated evenly
4. When the temperature is high enough, put the solder wire close to the joint, the solder will melt and flow freely
5. Please remove the solder wire when the tin is enough
6. Take away the soldering iron in a direction approximately 45° and power off
7. Place it in the holder while it cools enough safety

Answer:	Yes absolutely this little guy can get upwards to about 2000 degrees Fahrenheit
Question:	Can this torch be used with a single propane or butane tank
Answer:	No.
Question:	what about valves
Answer:	No valves. I made that uninformed mistake myself. Those little devils are spendy too.
Question:	Does this torch kit require regulators or do they just connect directly to the acetylene, hydrogen, propane, map,natural gas tanks from Box store
Answer:	Yes!! if you want to use smaller bottles for portability.
