Yes, it took it's toll on the deck in a few places, but overall still looks really good. We put Sikkens log stain and protectant on our cabin log siding nearly 15 years ago. This is the year we will pressure wash and reapply the product. Overall, we are extremely impressed with the Sikkens products. |

| Answer: | Hi there, thanks for your question!...OIl based paints and stains are best first cleaned up using mineral turpentine, (mineral spirits) followed by soap/detergent and water, always rinse well with clean water. If using water-based paints or stains, straight water wash up and rinse well....Pro Tip, using a brush comb like the one we supply FREE with our DECK BOSS pack, will make cleaning the brush faster with better results.....Pro Tip, another excellent brush cleaning method is by using a few caps of Oxi-Clean laundry powder in a few quarts of boiling water. Soak the brushes for 20 minutes and comb through, once again rinse well using clean water. Oxi-Clean uses the active ingredient Sodium Percarbonate and is a powerful oxidiser often used for commercial deck cleaning. All the best and happy coating! |
