Answer:	If your husband is an XL this absolutely will not fit him. I bought the biggest size they had which was a large, it did not come close to fitting and I wear an XL. Also it is more like a half shirt, it does come all the way to the waist which makes it feel even smaller.

Answer:	The material seems to be some kind of densely woven nylon...I think it would be very uncomfortable in very hot weather. It doesn't seem to be too breathable. Good for cold weather. It is a good quality vest otherwise.
