Answer:	I would think that a 9 Volt lithium would be safer than an alkaline. These water detectors are supposed to signal low battery life. But you have to hear it and in fact it has to signal. The extra money for the lithium is worth it. There is no reason not to use lithium.

Answer:	I have owned my only 1 week. It’s a 9 volt battery and my guess depends on the quality of battery and how often it is triggered or alarm sounding. I would guess that you should test it regularly and replace it when the low battery alarm sounds or 1 year, whichever is shortest.

Answer:	There are 2 small metal nodes that you can see on the outside in the picture. When moisture connects the 2 nodes the alarm sounds. I test these devices with a moistened finger, not much water at all. Very high humidity can trigger them as well, that is, humidity above atmospheric norm.

Answer:	Hi, No, this one can't fit over a hardhat
Question:	Is the battery replacable
Answer:	I think it is. Mine does the exact same thing. I look at it this way: it does not matter; the only adjustments that effect MIG welding are voltage and speed (and burnback on yours). I really don't pay much attention to the display, and find my settings by experimentation on similar work pieces. I suppose the current display can give you a rough starting point for settings for a given metal thickness. I think I'll start tracking that and see.
Question:	What size cheater/magnifying lens does this helmet require
Answer:	I bought this welder not even a month ago and the one I was sent does work on 110v or 220v. even comes with an adapter to plug the normal 3 prong 110v into my dryer's 220v outlet. It works wonderfully on either power source I have used both.

Easy to Operate Interface

• Fully Automatic ON/OFF, lens will switch on when solar cell detects small portion of ambient lights (Lens will be shut off itself in 15 minutes in dark)
• External Grind Switch to set "Weld or Grind" mode. When "Grind" mode is set the lens will not respond to any arc. THIS MODE IS FOR GRINDING ONLY. Switch lens out of "Grind" mode as soon as finishing Grinding to avoid accidental flash.
• "Delay" dial to set delay time to recover from Dark status to Light status. Higher amp welding or TIG may require higher setting of delay
