Answer:	It is divided into two states: open and closed. It has two different colors divided into purple light and red light. Violet light can detect whether there is cat moss by illuminating the cat. Govee WiFi Water Leak Detector

Using the connection between the gateway, water sensors, and Govee Home App, you can monitor any leakages on your phone while you are away from home. There are no annoying wires, which makes monitoring even easier. Open the App, Connect to H5040.

After a successful connection, you can place the sensors and start to monitor water leakage on your App. Note: Please ensure the App and your phone settings are set to allow "push" notifications. The gateway will not send push notifications if the leak happens again in 90 seconds.

I would call the help desk at 1-800-888-6788 to verify your present situation. Make sure you have the model NFO, of course, and the manufacturing date stamped on the back.

Question:	Is there any monthly or yearly fee to connect to a service
Answer:	It is hard to silence the alarm unless you make a minor modification in advance. Don't wait until the 130 dB siren is going before you work out how to disable the alarm. I've had it blaring in my ears while I frantically try to open the case to disconnect the battery, only to find that opening it is very difficult, even with the aid of a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver. What I've done since is filed down the locking tabs slightly, just enough that the plastic case still locks but is much easier to open when the alarm sounds, so that the battery can be disconnected. Then you can address the water leak in relative peace.
Question:	I don't see any rope sensors which is bad for covering areas like washers, fridge, and water heaters. Any rope solutions I'm unaware of with this
Answer:	The wire has no gauge markings- printed or imprinted. Comparing the wire side by side with a wire stripper, appears to be 18 gauge and it is definitely stranded copper. It is most assuredly no larger than 18 gauge so I would lean towards 18 to 20. I don’t know your application as to why you would need to extend the original length but I can tell you that the device is really loud when activated - if that helps you any.

Answer:	There are 3 ways to connect the extension cable to YoLink Leak Sensor. 1. Soldering with a soldering iron: (1) Use a soldering iron to solder 2 common wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the Leak Sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) (2) Fix the leak sensor in one place (If you use double-sided tape to paste the bottom of the leak sensor to the wall, the thickness of the double-sided tape must be higher than the height of the footpad on the bottom of the leak sensor (>1.5mm), otherwise, the leak sensor may not stick firmly ) (3) Place the 2 wires in the area to be detected. The 2 wires must be separated and fixed with a certain distance (10~15mm) But please kindly note: If you use a soldering iron to solder the wire, it may damage the two probes of the original device, which may cause the probes to rust in a humid environment. 2. Use glue or tape to fix (1) Use glue or tape to stick 2 ordinary wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the leak sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) a. Stick the wire to the end of the probe and roll it into a circle or ring to expand the contact area & assist in fixing; b. It is recommended to use glue/tape with high viscosity, which must be firmly adhered to! (2) Fix the leak sensor in one place (If you use double-sided tape to paste the bottom of the leak sensor to the wall, the thickness of the double-sided tape must be higher than the height of the footpad on the bottom of the leak sensor (>1.5mm), otherwise, the leak sensor may not stick firmly) (3) Place the 2 wires in the area to be detected. Answer:	Hello, we do not have instructions or knowledge of how to lengthen the wire. The warranty will be voided if product is altered or tampered with. Thanks

Answer:	Been around 6 months and it has gone off around 20 times and batteries are still a full charge. This is the loudest alarm I have for the price.
Question:	Is this magnetic or does it use adhesive to attach to appliances? The video says it's magnetic but the descripton says it uses adhesive
Answer:	The unit I have attaches via adhesive. Bottom Line: neither magnetic or adhesive makes any difference. You want the sensor to be as low on the ground as you can get it so it reads water at the first appearance. I used extreme tape over my sensor to force the unit to stay flat on the ground at the lowest point (my garage has a little dip in the cement floor). If you have magnetic and it causes the sensor to sit 1/8" off the ground, you will have a lot of water loss before the alarm goes off. An adhesive patch could also lift the sensor off the ground by 1/16" also.
Question:	Can the alarm be switched off once it goes off while you fix the problem
Answer:	Yes, the alarm has an off and on switch. You can remove it from the water, turn it off, and it will reset itself.

Answer:	New sensors can last for over 24 hours and the sound strength will diminish over time. If you've had the water sensor for almost 2 years or if it has gone off in the past the sound will not be as loud and will not siren for as long. You can always test the sensor to see how loud they sound to kind of determine how much life is left in them. Test them by place a damp paper towel across the two bottom prongs or place them in a few drops of water for a second or so. The stronger the electrical conduction---the stronger the alarm will sound--just keep that in mind. We recommend replacing them every 2 years and checking them semi annually when you test your smoke detectors. Also, if you come home and find the alarm has been going off but you are not sure for how long---throw it away and get a new one. It's difficult to determine the battery life if you don't know how long or how many times the alarm has been triggered.
Question:	Can this device be used to detect rain as it enters a window so a sleeping person could be awakened to close the window
Answer:	Yes, the battery is not replaceable. However, he battery seems to last quite a while. We place one in our water heater closet and under all sinks (bathrooms and kitchen). We also use them in our RV under sinks and behind the toilet. I believe we've replaced only a couple due to a dead battery, and they were at least 18 months or more old.

Answer:	I found the DX300s does have a non replaceable battery it is sealed within the lens housing that is factory sealed by some type of glue or heat sealing. very difficult to open without some damage to lens unit. My own investigation indicates the battery will last about 5 years maybe longer and the battery is soldered welded onto the circuit board. the helmet seems to not have an off switch nor does it have a test function to indicate if lens darkens. the helmet itself is very nice but the method the lens operates makes me nervous without wearing a light shade pair of welders glasses under the helmet just in case it fails to function. I will be sending it out to be tested for accuracy and safety

1. Install the Battery

In the event of a severe flood, the Leak Alert floats and continues to sound an alarm until the battery is depleted. To minimize property damage, respond to the alarm as quickly as possible.
