Answer:	The beam is wide enough but how fast are you plowing the driveway? Are you using a walk-behind snow thrower, a tractor mounted snow thrower or a truck mounted plow blade. The beam will definitely reach far enough for tractor and walk-behind equipment (low speed) but I've seen some truck mounted plows go pretty fast to gain momentum to plow into a snow bank. The trucks probably go faster than I would be comfortable using this light. You might be driving beyond the "safe reach" of the light in a truck.
Question:	how do you know the battery is charging when plugged
Answer:	Apologies for the delay. It's been a while since I last charged my headlamp so I had to give it another try. When I first plug the battery compartment it into a power source, there is a dim red "x" on the back of the battery compartment. Once the charge is complete, the red "X" turns green. It took me about 1 hour to charge, but I suspect I was at least half charged.

1. Make sure the plastic films on the batteries were removed before using.

Question:	How long do I need to charge the batteries initially? Do I need to leave the batteries connected to the charger when not in use
Answer:	It takes a while. Leave it on the charger until the light on the charger is green. If it’s really dead, it’ll be red when first connected to charger, after a while it’ll turn to yellow/orange, then green when it is fully charged. Mine will be pretty bright for a few hours but diminish quickly. It will take over 24 hours to charge. Take it off the charger when fully charged, although if it’s been a few days or weeks since you charged it fully, I found that it loses charge even when not in use. Make sure it is charged the day before use. It WILL NOT charge on my portable USB compatible charger that I bought for my phone and other stuff which is a bummer. It’s ok as long as you prepare ahead of time. The directions say to never let it fully die so I don’t. It lasted a lot longer when I first bought it. I bought a headlamp off Amazon since then that has a “yellow light.” Its badass for muddy water and bowfishing in general. You’ll see fish you’ve never seen before.
