User questions & answers
Question: | Need to replace nail set |
Answer: | Not sure what that means. But don't buy that nail gun! You end up having to set one-third of the nails by hand and that's annoying |
Question: | Will this shoot 16 gauge nails too |
Answer: | No, it is designed for only 15ga nails |
Question: | Anybody has the bare gun weight |
Answer: | Specs say 4 lb but it feels much lighter and has great power. Been a loyal Senco finish nailer user for years but this is a much better nail gun especially for the price. |
Question: | Are these 34* nails hard to find in say, a big box store??? I cant even find them on Amazon and thats my only concern is not finding the right nails |
Answer: | I ordered Senco A302000 15 gauge 2 in. and Senco A302500 15 gauge 2 1/2 in. that work fine. These were recommended by Amazon. Some nail guns are 33 1/3 degree and some are 34 degree. Not much of a difference there. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use grex p6/35l 23 gauge 1-3/8-inch length headless pins (10,000 per box) for makita tp03z 12v max cxt lithium-ion cordless pin nailer |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can i use bostitch 18 gauge brad nails, 1-3/8-inch, 1000 per box (bt1335b-1m) for makita tp03z 12v max cxt lithium-ion cordless pin nailer |
Answer: | I'm too lazy to go get the owner's manual and look up the maximum pressure when I know you could do the same by googling the specs for the nailer. I will tell you that it was designed to be a framing nailer and that is what it does. That is to say, it has sufficient pressure to drive 3.5" framing nails into wood framing members. Makita would not recommend using it for other purposes. |
Question: | can you help me to buy pins for makita tp03z 12v max cxt lithium-ion cordless pin nailer |
Answer: | You can use nails that meet the following specs: 1-3/4" - 3-1/2" .099" - .148" shank diameter wire collatedFrom the Makita website. I would recommend using better quality nails that might feed better than inexpensive brands. |
Question: | How long of nails fit |
Answer: | I use mine mostly for 2.5" through 3.5" framing nails. Typically wire collated although I believe I have also used the plastic collated nails too. I actually have a dedicated Bostich siding nailer that has a rubber or plastic protective cover on the end instead of the 'claw' end of the AN902. The teeth, or claws are for getting a good purchase on the wood especially when toe nailing. This has the potential to gouge or mark the siding whereas the protective plastic covering on the siding nailer protects the siding. |
