Question:	Should I have concerns about the magnetic tail magnetizing my mechanical watch from proximity? How strong exactly is the magnetic tail
Answer:	Fairly strong for how small it is. I currently wear it clipped inside my left pocket, I carry my keys and have an Apple Watch on the same side with no ill effects towards my keys or watch. I’d say there’s 2 inches of space between my keys and the bottom of the flashlight and I don’t have any issues with it being too powerful.

Answer:	I would assume not because it is a waterproof flashlight and can work underwater. Therefore if the contacts can connect through water it should be fine with metal.

Answer:	That's correct. After 1.5 minutes it steps down in brightness to preserve battery and because the light gets hot. If you need something that bright for a longer period of time then you should step to a different light with a bigger battery, no light with a CR123 will last long at such a high output.

Question:	Has anyone actively compared this to the Fenix E18R (brightness, evenness, battery duration, durability, etc
Answer:	Nearly identical in my opinion. The Fenix is a bit smaller, but not by much. Identical build quality. Both are great. I personally like the Fenix's button a bit more because it has more texture. The Olight seems to have a stronger magnet, but not by much. The Fenix charges on the side and the Olight charges on the tail. The Fenix uses a standard, rechargeable 16340 and the Olight uses a proprietary one - this means the Fenix battery can charge in the flashlight or in a charger while the Olight can only be charged through the flashlight. This could be seen as a big con against the Olight if that matters to you. I find the Olight a bit warmer in color and the Fenix a bit more white. Both have nearly identical brightness. I think the Olight is a bit more focused of a beam and the Fenix has more flood. The Olight seems to run cooler and the Fenix tends to heat up more quickly. But lastly, and most importantly in my opinion, they have different UI. Fenix turns on/off with a long press and toggles brightness with short presses while the Olight turns on/off with short presses and toggles brightness with pressing/holding. This is personal preference. I find Olight's UI a bit more intuitive (press it to turn on tada instant light) but Fenix seems to make more sense to pocket carry (long press means it won't turn on accidentally), but less intuitive (long press to turn on is not common and I usually forget when using it). Can't go wrong either way - both great lights.
Question:	Can this light be safely left on its magnetic base until needed? Will this damage the battery, light, or represent a fire hazard
Answer:	As the lithium- ion battery is supposed to have a discharge rate of approximately 1% per month I wouldn't leave it on the charger, but that's my personal preference, I have never believed that leaving any rechargeable device plugged into it's charging base to be practical, safe, or good for the life of the battery. I have had this flashlight for 6 weeks and use it everyday approximately 10- 30 minutes a day on the 2nd -3rd setting, I just recharged it last week and only because I purposely left it on for 12 hrs to see how long it would take to discharge . Keep in mind at the lowest setting this light is supposed to be able to run continuously for 8 days. Here are the details from Olight on the output and time for each setting. Answer:	I do not have any experience with the acebeam but my olight s1r is very handy and works well. I particularly like the easy clip on a hat for close work. The baton will provide 1000 lumens for about a minute before it automatically reduces to maintain the heating limit of the LED whch I find acceptable. If I need a short 1000 lumen output it will do so. It provides plenty of light for all of my close up work when it dials back the output.

Answer:	Rather than punch the "I don't know" button, I'll offer this, even though I don't know.... I've have mine for about a year and it likely is the "older" model and therefore 35 lumens. But I am amazed at how much light that little AAA battery can throw and how long the battery lasts. I view this device as a piece of survival gear. Therefore battery life is important. If given a choice, I'd go with the 35 lumen, assuming a 45 lumen would take a larger drain on the life of the battery. 35 lumens from this flashlight, is a lot of light!

Question:	Would you recommend this over sr1 baton II
Answer:	I own both the perun & sr1 baton 2 & I think the sr1 baton is way better. The sr1 high setting is 1000 lumen, perun is only 650 on high. The biggest turn off for the perun is that its got a frosted lens which spreads out the light so it only illuminates the immediate area but the sr1 has a focused lens which gives a hot spot that carries very far & a very even throw for the immediate area. Also the sr1 can be clipped onto your hat brim& used as a head lamp but since the perun has the angled lens you have to have a hat with velcro patch& use the hat patch that comes with the perun but who is really going to carry that hat patch around in their pocket everyday.

Question:	My magnetic charger doesn't work less then a year old i have two flashlights that came with chargers but now neither of them work is thier a problem
Answer:	I stopped using the charger that came with it. I have purchased multiple batteries and a charger for them. Much better if you ask me.
Question:	Can you use any 18650 battery
Answer:	I believe you can. I know there are 2 types. There's the regular 18650 then there is a High Output 18650. The battery that comes with it is a High Output one. The regular may just not give you the lumens for the Turbo setting. I haven't tried it myself.
