This spot measures roughly 8 inches in diameter at 3 feet, and maybe 2 feet in diameter at 10 feet. For what it's worth, I carry one of these everywhere, and has been very helpful to my aging eyes. With intermittent use, the single AAA can go a week or two (maybe more). Love these! Don't know if I helped at all, but I gave it my best shot.

Answer:	The zoom feature does not have to be used which is like not having a zoom feature.

Answer:	On average, I get about 5-6 hours on low before the it gets noticeably & rapidly dimmer. I won't test a bright light's run times on high. Running these types of lights continuously on high for a long time tends to wear out the phosphors inside, making the gradually become a little dimmer each time. Not only that, but running them at high for a long time makes the LED & electronics run hotter. That shortens the lifetime of the LED, & electronics a lot, & you may risk burning your lights out if they get too warm. In a power failure or off-grid situation, running them on low to make the battery last longer, is still plenty bright enough for most night situations.
Question:	Does the light turn back on to the same mode that it was in when it was turned off? Other lights force you to cycle every time it's turned on and off

Answer:	I just got my Kootek 5 pack of flashlights. First, they are the GREATEST!!! No really, they have an adjustable focus, high beam, low beam and flashing beam and they are built solidly tough. Now for the question about the battery: I use the AA battery and it provides all you can ask for. From what I've read about the 14500, yes they should provide an edge in brightness but with prolonged use, they are said to become extremely overheated, to the possibility of damaging the flashlight. Stick with the AA's and you won't be sorry.

Answer:	Firstly, you need to turn the tactical flashlight on with the button on the end and then press the button on the side untill you get the modes that you want. Answer:	Yes, a USB outlet in a vehicle will charge the flashlight . Charging time depends on two factors. First, how depleted is the battery. Second, how fast you can fill it up. An amp hour is a unit of electric charge. Just like your gas tank, it has a defined capacity. The more empty it is the longer it will take to fill it up. If you squeeze the nozzle lightly it will slowly fill your gas tank up and take more time. Instead of gallons, with batteries, we use the unit of amp hours. 1 amp hour equals 1000 milliamp hours or mAh. USB ports vary in their ability to supply power. I have seen some that will only Supply 500 mAh of power and others that will supply 2000 mAh of power. If you have a high power USB outlet in your vehicle it will charge it quickly however most that I have seen are slow charging in the 500 to 1000 mAh range. It's almost like asking how long would it take to fill up your own vehicle with gas through a straw. You would answer it depends and how empty the tank is and how thick the straw is. The higher mAh your USB supplies = the thicker straw.

Answer:	You can activate strobe in two ways: 1. Cycle the stone function or 2. When the light is on, hold the mode change down and the light will jump to strobe mode.
