Plus if the mics are laying down you either need to leave them in even longer so the ozone deactivates the virus, or turn them over for another 15 minutes for direct exposure to the UV-C rays (unless you can stand them up and cover them). Think you're probably better off with a can of spray disinfectant or a container of disinfecting wipes if you really have only 4 minutes.

Answer:	Yes the battery can be replaced but not by a novice. Wahl recommends that the rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries in this unit be replaced by Wahl and not the user. If you are a mechanical or electronically oriented person you may be able to do it yourself. But let me say this. My Wahl 9918-6171 unit arrived on 8/30/13. I charged it overnight and then disconnected from the cord and have been using it as a cordless trimmer ever since it's first use on 8/31/13. I have yet to recharge it and it is still working today 9/16/13 as well as the first time that I used it. If at some future date the charge of this cordless unit is too low when I go to use it - NO PROBLEM - I will just plug it in and use it as a corded trimmer and after using it leave it plugged in to recharge. I do want to make you aware though that my use is only as a mustache and side burn trimmer. I have no beard. Answer:	The direct answer is "No" it cannot detect blood because blood is not by itself fluoresce, in order to detect blood a material that reacts to properties in the blood can be added to the suspected blood sample, thus making the blood become fluoresce by the reaction to the added material and become detectable. Fluids that are detected by this light are seminal fluid, saliva and urine stains. Also, certain narcotics will fluoresce as will bone and teeth fragments, some spiders, scorpions, quinine in tonic water, Vitamin A and the B vitamins thiamine, niacin, and riboflavin Chlorophyll makes plants green, but it fluoresces a blood red color, there is a process to separate the material then it can be seen. antifreeze glows black. Minerals and gemstones like fluorite, calcite, gypsum, ruby, talc, opal, agate, quartz, and amber. Money glows under black light, Passports and most state ID's do as well. whiteners in laundry detergent. There are many more items that glow when exposed to black or ultraviolet light. Answer:	It took me some time to find the wavelength required to cure the adhesive. This flashlight emits UV at 395 nM which should work. I found one reference to the required wavelength to cure UV bonding agents (385 nM - 405 nM). The flashlight emits bright UV light when the batteries are fully charged but the time needed to cure the bondic is so quick that you should be fine. Some other purchasers of this flashlight do recommend having UV glasses on when using this light for long period. Sometimes to error on the side of caution is best. Question:	Can this ultraviolet light see the dirty things in the toilet
Answer:	On "The Doctor's" TV show, the GYN/OB doctor was emphatic that despite the fact that washing your underwear (male & female) in very hot water is the only safe way to wash them. I am a washing guru and got sick of the elastic dying in all of our expensive briefs and panties, I looked for a better way to get them clean without destroying them. I already knew that Oxi-clean pre-wash was the very best pre-wash for areas that have any residue left by a human. The peroxide in the Oxi-clean may not remove old stains in cotton briefs, but it kills the germs and the product that was left on the clothes. That includes the residue left by all adults in their underwear, blood, perspiration and I am certain any "nasty" material. FYI, if the item is white, spraying extra 100% peroxide will strengthen the pre-wash. I won't explain how I did the various tests, but using a black light showed any "discharges", stool racing strips in young boy's briefs, and blood stains, so that I knew exactly where to spray each item. After washing in warm water, the black light showed that the residues I found before washing and using the pre-wash were gone. Keep in mind however, that there are a lot of other things that "glow" on clothes. Certain clothes detergents leave tiny white spots on some clothes, and I have found numerous other things can leave glowing spots, but it is easy to tell the difference between the odd item glowing and the "nasties" that you would be looking for. Some Housekeeping Supervisors use black lights to check sheets in a room that has "supposedly" been cleaned. It is an easy way to see if the top sheet has simply been switched and placed as the bottom sheet, and a new one is placed on top. I will always bring my black light with me to hotels or timeshares. Answer:	I don't know why some of the others are saying it doesn't show dog urine stains on carpet. It does. Keep in mind that if you are simply looking in a house that has light coming in from windows - even if your lights in the house are off, it won't be dark enough. Unless you can block all light, wait until nighttime, close your blinds / curtains to block street lights and such, turn off all lights in the area to get it as dark as possible and turn it on. There were obvious dog pee stains in areas that I wasn't aware of before, urine stains in the bathroom that I thought was clean.

Answer:	It really depends on where they are placed. If under a covered area that won’t get wet, they may be fine. But I personally wouldn’t use them out in the elements

Answer:	It doesn’t have one. It’ll just work with a wall switch that is dimmable. It’s also not as long as it says. It’s 19” feet total when you add up the length of all the strands. But It really is only about 7 feet long if you want them to hang next to eachother as shown in pictures.

Answer:	There is 2 available nm that I know of. 365 and 395. 395 has a more purple more intense beam. Better for resins and glow stuff. 365 has a less visible beam better for seeing uv marks or ink doesn’t work as well for drying resin or charging glow in the dark stuff

Answer:	Works great for the "Damn Good" brand UV glue. I used it to fix a broken pair of glasses. The frame around one lens had broken, and I couldn't get new frames for the existing lenses. Just made the mend last night. I'm not certain how long an exposure ti takes--I gave it about 2 minutes. The glue's surface was still a little soft, but an hour later it was completely hard. Quite a bright light and I would be careful not to expose your skin or eyes to the beam. I will use it for fly tying as well and expect it will work very well.

Answer:	This flashlight uses 6 AA batteries. I have tested some, what I saw is that each puts out about 1 watt of electricity. So compare 6 watts to the real watts spec (maybe 8watts?) of a regular LED bulb of 40w or 60w equivalent.

Answer:	Unfortunately, that question doesn't work right. Really! 'Lumens' are units of 'visibility to the typical Human eye'. And this is a "blacklight", meaning it's light is Not visible to humans. An alternative question is "How many watts of UV light does it emit?". A typical LED bulb of any wavelength is 15-25% efficient. So a white LED bulb that uses 10w of line power, makes about 1.5watts of white light. This flashlight uses 6 typical alkaline AA batteries. In my experience, each AA battery can put out about 1 watt of electricity. So this flashlight is probably like a 6watt LED bulb. The LEDs may be 15-25% efficient, so it probably makes about 1.0 to 1.5watts of UV light.

Question:	Can the light detect lice
Answer:	I have seen differences on my skin such as the arms compared to my leg which does not receive much sunlight. On my arms it shows old scars and cuts, so if that is what you are looking for then I would say yes. If you are looking at a dermatologist level, I can't help you.

Answer:	The light seems plenty strong. The UV is not quite as strong as the white light, but being able to focus the beam down to a pretty small square is pretty handy. I haven't used the flashlight much so I don't know how long the batteries will last.

Answer:	The compounds in cat urine that emit light (fluoresce) absorb light at a shorter wavelength. You want the UV to be in the near UV ("UVA") or around 365 nm. I got this one - and it works well. Answer:	Well, I have it right here in my hands looking at it, and it doesn't seem anything more than slightly water-resistant, if that. The rubber o-rings for the battery cover and lamp assembly are tiny, seemingly more for vibration damping. This light is a heavy, solid, aluminum metal work of art that I'd hate to risk around water anyway.
Question:	Will this work with the pens that only show under black light
Answer:	It depends what kind of viens. If they are granite or have some kind of lumecent propety or even white the answer is yes. If you want to find a gold vein i migth think it will not. If you like to know find any uv ligth and set a gold ring under it. But it will pick up mostly unoticible particals under this ligth.
