11 best honeywell motion detector
Honeywell is a well-known company that manufactures a wide range of safety and security products, including motion detectors. Honeywell motion detectors are commonly used in various applications, including fire alarms, fire safety systems, and general security setups. These devices play a crucial role in enhancing safety and security in homes, businesses, and other types of buildings. Here are some key features and aspects of Honeywell motion detectors:
Infrared Technology: Many Honeywell motion detectors use passive infrared (PIR) technology to detect motion. PIR sensors can detect changes in infrared radiation, which occur when a warm object, like a human body, moves in its field of view.
Dual Technology: Some Honeywell motion detectors combine PIR with microwave technology for increased accuracy and reliability. This dual technology approach reduces the likelihood of false alarms.
Pet-Friendly Options: Honeywell offers pet-friendly motion detectors designed to ignore small pets' movements while still detecting larger human intruders.
Wireless Connectivity: Many Honeywell motion detectors are wireless, making them easy to install and integrate into existing security or fire alarm systems.
Anti-Mask Features: Some Honeywell detectors are equipped with anti-mask technology to alert users if someone attempts to disable or obstruct the detector's sensors.
Tamper Detection: Honeywell motion detectors often include tamper detection features that trigger an alarm if the detector is tampered with or removed.
Adjustable Sensitivity: Users can typically adjust the sensitivity of Honeywell motion detectors to customize their performance for specific environments.
Compatibility: Honeywell motion detectors are designed to work seamlessly with other Honeywell security and fire safety products, creating comprehensive security systems.
Fire Safety Integration: In addition to security applications, Honeywell motion detectors can be integrated into fire alarm systems to enhance fire safety by detecting movement and occupancy in critical areas.
Battery-Powered and Hardwired Options: Honeywell offers both battery-powered and hardwired motion detectors to suit different installation requirements.
It's important to note that Honeywell's product offerings may evolve over time, so it's a good practice to check Honeywell's official website or consult with a certified Honeywell distributor or installer for the most up-to-date information and product offerings related to motion detectors and other safety and security solutions.

User questions & answers
Question: | is it suitable with all kinds of wired systems |
Answer: | Great question! The “lip” as it is called in the industry, allows for the chair mat to extend under the desk to protect the floor under the desk from a persons feet and also prevent Desk Chair wheels from rolling off the front end of the Chair Mat. The “lip” is NOT a beveled or tapered edge (industry terms) around the mat’s circumference. Many buyers get the lip confused with what is called a “beveled” or “tapered” edge. We do not make a chair mat with that feature. |
Question: | Is there an app for this |
Answer: | Thank you for the question! As long as it is being used with a common residential oxygen concentrator, this would be a good resting spot. We would warn that unrolling and flattening the mat will require some physical effort as the material is stiff being shipped rolled up. Also, the concentrator should be semi-fixed to the area of the desk chair mat as it may not slide off and back onto the mat easily. We have no experience or testing in trying to move a similar machine off and back onto the mat, but in theory, it should work. Please let us know if you have any other questions! |
Question: | So Is it wired 2 wires for Power input and 2 wires forsensor output? Thanks |

Question: | When set at it's highest sensitivity, will it detect small rodents like rats or squirrels |
Answer: | The mat is to thin, it leaves wheel dents and is difficult to manage on carpet. It might be OK on a hard surface. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the fcc id code for this device |
Answer: | Anything above 600mhz is no good anymore due to 5G and HDTV... other than that, you can do a quick Google search for frequencies used in my zip code and get a good idea of the open spaces for your area. |
Question: | Will this work with xfinity home alarm |
Answer: | I can't say I've tracked the power usage exactly, but I've used 2300mAh batteries and it lasts longer than 5 hours of usage only getting down to 2/3 bars in the display. Hard to say how much longer beyond that it would actually last, but I'd highly recommend getting rechargeable batteries anyways so you can start with freshly charged batteries. |
Question: | Will This work with adt |
Answer: | As long as the new transmitter is in the same frequency range A1 |
Question: | can be used for outdoor |
Answer: | Yes you can, you set pack 1 all the way to the left and pack 2 all the way to the right. |
- Normally Closed Circuit

User questions & answers
Question: | If I mount this inside my garage will it work to connect to box in the house at a range of about 25 feet |
Answer: | I use mine to monitor the doggie door in the garage. It lets me know when they come in from outside. It's mounted probably 30 - 35 feet from the box in our living room. It's working fine so far. Have had it some 6 months or so. |
Question: | Can you turn it off? I want to put in near the hot tub to make sure the kids don't go near it even though it is fenced in |
Answer: | You would turn off the doorbell to which it is connected. You'll need to get the unit and a compatible door bell. Also it has certain idiosyncrasies such as working either when it is light out or dark out but not both. |
Question: | Is this motion detector triggered by heavy rain or snow |
Answer: | Not rain or snow, but blowing leaves or branches on windy days makes for a couple of noisy days a year. |
Question: | What is the range for the wireless signal to a 330A door chime? If I read it correctly the sensor has a 40 foot range |
Answer: | The manual says the rf range is up to 450ft. depending on receiver. Mine is about 100 ft away from the 330a and works very well. At first mounted my sensor in the sun and it had a lot of false alarms, I was able to move to the shade and it is very dependable. The detection range on my sensor is pretty close to 40 ft. and it is mounted 8 ft off the ground. |

Answer: | Yes unfortunately it was one. But it did continue say "balls," which means 2 in my eyes, lol. Not very happy customer. |
Question: | Is it for Outdoor use |
Answer: | A few days ago, our ball was scratched by a sharp stone. Fortunately, it was glued together with a patch and glue provided by the seller. And it will not affect the use. |
Question: | How many wires does this have, guessing |
Answer: | There's a video in the product detail of shoulder strap and a manual is attached in the package. |
