Copied and pasted below: "Notes： Designed for ONE TIME use only and should only be deployed in the event of a home emergency. ... " Point being, a practice run requires additional ladder purchase. No doubt Hausse and the lion's share of other emergency ladder manufacturers recognize that repacking their product teeters on impossible, and tangling a deployed ladder is inevitable. If the ladder is then stored in a tangled condition, it has the potential to hinder escape and ultimately defeat its sole function -- saving lives -- in an emergency. The manufacturers are beset with addressing reliability, ease of use (weight) and affordability. (((The short answer in the litigious world we live in is that disclaiming additional uses of the ladder both saves lives and beats getting sued!!)))
