Answer:	Backwards away from the sink. Travel is about 1.25" back from full off to full on.

Answer:	I'm not sure what the temperature range is, but it's hot enough to make soup, instant coffee, etc. overall it's a great product and worth the money. The only issue to watch out for is the thickness of your countertops. If they are too thick it will need recessed which can be difficult with granite or similar .

Question:	When we went to connect the water connector tube to the red ring hot water outlet it would not fit. There was a red tub in the outlet that prevented t
Answer:	Yes, you are correct, one of the units I installed had the same issue with the red plastic fitting liner protruding, and it cannot be pushed in or removed. I solved the problem by filing the plastic down to just above the metal pipe. Make sure to keep it level and remove burrs. Another fix would be to use standard pipe fittings such as putting a street ell on the tank nipple then connecting your flex hose to that - use brass or stainless fittings and pipe dope.
Question:	Has anyone used a t-valve to hook this to their toilet inlet line? I'd like to split the toilet line, install this, then attach my sprayer bidet
Answer:	Yes you can, but you know, you can buy a bidet with a water on demand heater built in it ! much better and you are not reheating 2.5 gals of water after each use. Check on Amazon or Wish for a bidet, it is not expensive .
Question:	Does it need its own breaker
Answer:	Yes and no, it depends on where you are robbing the power from ,if it is from a circuit with very little use like bath wall outlets only ( like I did ) I would say no ,but if its from a circuit with heavy use, I would say yes, also what are you going to use the hot water for ? in my case, I use mine at the wash basin only so it is not heating continuously. .

Question:	Can I replace just the tank and keep on using my old filter 201R system with it
Answer:	We're still using the old filter system because the new filter has a bigger hose going from the filter to the sink which will require that we replace the valve under the sink some day to install the new filter system. Changing the instant hot water "box" took about 5 minutes. Changing the filter will take a bit of time because of the valve replacement.
Question:	My contractor is asking how much amperage this unit draws? Needs its own breaker
Answer:	Basically this has already been answered but I had another comment. First the short answer is NO. Compared to other products that run at twice the power levels this should not need its own circuit. The long answer is: it depends on what else is running on the circuit already. Based on a 15-amp breaker which is setup to break instantly at much higher values or near 15-amps if run continuously at near 15-Amps. My extra two-cents worth. Barely worth 2-cents. Is that I'm surprised the 'expert' contractor even asked you this. They should already know. Or at the least take 10-mins and look it up themselves unless they were just trying to get you to spend more money on something you didnt need. Or worse yet just don't know what they are doing. Which is probably the case. Of course from their point of view it is still a good question to ask since it takes any blame for poor results off of them if there is a power problem later. ha. I have seen simular products which take 1500-watts which is getting close to needing a dedicated circuit. Of course twice the power means it heats up faster and is better for on-demand applications where as this one has a tank included and really doesn't need the faster heat up time so long as you are not drawing more than 2/3 cups of water at a time. It would be interesting to know the real heat up time 'rate' of this item. It would have also been nice if the manufacture included a power switch to choose the power level so some kind of eco mode or smart mode. For the price Im surprised it is not connected to the internet too. yikes. Other companies offer a simular product for less than $200. Not sure it is as nice however. I just bought one myself so I will see if it is worth it or not but everyone seems to love these. I hope my Mother does too.
Question:	Do I need to purchase the power supply cord for this product or is it out-of-box ready, needing only a faucet
Answer:	Power cord is built in. Its 2ft 8in from the bottom right corner of the unit when facing it. The extra one that pops up when you cart this item is likely a wired extension cable, which takes a bit of know-how to replace. So if your power jack is farther away than that you would either use the replacement cable, or just buy a grounded 2ft extension cord that plugs from both sides, which is what i would do.
Question:	Is it a direct rplcmt for Model SST (easy, no tools, same hoses, etc.)? Does it take more space than the SST
Answer:	It is the same except the filter hoses. My 2008 made SST had 3/8” tube going in and out of its filter. This one has 1/4” tubes there instead. You will need a quick trip to HoneDepot and buy SharkBite 3/8” to 1/4” adapters and sone 1/4” tube possibly as well. The rest is easy and quick.

Answer:	I bought model V65EN. It came with a wired digital controller. The installer did not run the wire into the house and mount the controller indoors. He simply set the controller at 120 degrees and left the controller inside the unit. If I want to change the temp, I have to take the cover of the unit.

Question:	My house is wired 110V. What additional items do I need to purchase for the conversion
Answer:	Just to expand slightly on prior answers, normally a residential service feed is 240 volts between the two incoming hot legs. There is also a neutral leg, which (hopefully) has zero potential with reference to ground. The voltage between either one of the hot legs and the neutral leg is 120 volts. The 120 volt circuits in your house are connected to one or the other of the two hot legs, and only one. An attempt is made to assign circuits to the two hot legs in a way that will roughly balance the load between them. The other side of a 120 volt circuit is connected to the neutral leg. There is additionally a safety ground run with the circuit, which also ties into the panel. Certain devices require more power (work product of current and voltage) than is practical to deliver using a 120 volt circuit. Common examples are your clothes dryer, and your electric stove. These devices are powered by both hot legs, with a difference in potential of 240 volts. This water heater is also such a device.STRONG BUT FRIENDLY WARNING: If you did not already know this, please don't make wiring this water heater your learning opportunity with electricity. Question:	what amp breaker is required
Answer:	The National Electrical Code requires conductors and overcurrent protection to be sized at 100% of the manufacturer's branch circuit recommendation for tankless electric water heaters. A 60 amp breaker is the same price as a 40 or 50, it is the wire that costs more. #6 AWG wire is required for a 60 amp circuit. If you undersize the wire it could overheat and catch fire. Protect your family and follow the manufacturer's sizing for this, or any other, electrical device. Your family's lives are worth the extra money. 

Answer:	The button must be held to dispense. Caution... Design flaw. There is an O-ring under the button to take out some of the play in the button. This O-ring causes the button to stick into the "on" Position, you will not be able to turn the water off when this happens. One solution suggested by other people is to remove the O-Ring before installing.
Question:	About how much hot water can you get without running out? Or is it quick enough return that it isn’t noticeable
Answer:	Since the heating element of these dispensers has a limited lifetime of about 5 years, and you can't just buy a new element - you have to buy a whole new unit - it makes sense to me to turn it off every night to come back on in the morning. I also turn it off when out of town, all of this using one of my home automation modules. With average use, my dispenser used only 15 to 20 kWh per month.

Question:	How long does it take to heat the (cold) water in the tank if power to the unit has been shut-off for a period
Answer:	The spec in the manual says the recovery time is 18 min. But mine seems faster than that. I have not timed it but it is not slow. Seems to me it is around 5-10 minutes to fully heat up.
Question:	anyone wish theyd bought the 4gal or the 2.5 is more than enough for light use
Answer:	I live off grid and use a hose with garden sprayer to shower so my use is about 3 gal. per shower and the unit is awesome, but if you are going to use it for a regular shower go to the 4 but for sinks or anything else it will get the job done!!!
Question:	Will this fit under a bathroom lavatory sink?? 26.5 inches tall and 16 inches wide
Answer:	It probably will. Installed, ours takes up a total of 14" wide by 24" tall including the pipes on top and down one side. It is also hanging on the wall with 1" space between the bottom of the heater and the base of the inside of the cabinet. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can the unit be hard wired instead of being plugged into an outlet
Answer:	I suppose so, but if that's your plan and you're not an electrician, you should hire one. I would take the unit apart, and replace the cord with #12 NM or BX depending on your local jurisdiction. Because it draws about 11 amps (120v), I would put it on a separate breaker

2.Before plugging in the water heater power cord into an outlet, be sure the system is completely charged with water and all air is removed.

Installation Tips for T/ P Relief Valve

Comes with CSA listed temperature /pressure relief valve. Install the T/P valve into the threaded opening at the top of the water heater using heavy duty teflon tape.Do not over tightern! Orient the discharge tubing so that any discharge from the valve will exit within 6 inches above, or at any distance below the structural floor, and cannot any live electrical part.

Answer:	No. This is a simple self- regulating unit. If you want more flow, and more hot water, go to the next size up that this company makes. I put this unit in my parents kitchen, where it doesn't get as hot and cannot cause burns. I have the larger unit in my kitchen. It can get very hot before it balances out.
Question:	What is amperage and how long does it normally take before it ships
Answer:	Hello James. Great question. This unit heats water by 24°F at a flow rate of 1.0 GPM (and a proportionately lower temperature rise with a higher flow rate, and higher temp. rise with lower flow rate). All tankless water heaters operate on the same principle. Therefore, you should add 24°F to your incoming water temperature of 60°F. The answer is 84°F. This heater requires one 00 amp double pole breaker. Question:	Is there a 220V unit of this model available
Answer:	Probably not but can work if you live in a southern environment and can supply 10 gauge wiring (or whatever they specify) to it. I use mine on an outdoor shower to my pool area and works well, but you have to control the temperature by lowering the water flow thru to it. The first time I tried it, I had to actually remove the low flow stuff in the shower head because it was too hot but after I removed it its comes out a nice 100+ temperature straight out of the hot end. Note, if it is really cool in florida, this does not work real well because this particular model just doesn't have the wattage to heat up the water really well.I bought this primarily to heat my water at my kitchen sink and dishwasher and it does a fantastic job doing so as opposed to waiting a minute plus for water from the other side of my house to come. As a bonus, I also added an adaptor and run it out to a shower faucet for the pool and it works well for that also, but if you are in a cooler place than florida, I would encourage you to get something stronger because you will need to heat a lot more than 1/2 a gallon a minute or a gallon a minute flow rate that this really heats up.
