| Answer: | It can be used both manually or with a drill. I would not use it with a drill, it will break in short order. The place where the drill attaches is a metal plug surrounded by thin plastic and not sturdy at all. If you need an electric snake you would be better off getting a used Milwaukee unit on ebay, even though they are a little pricey, they will not break the second time you use it. I wouldn't even get this to use manually--the crank handle snaps into the plastic drum via clips and is not permanently attached--very flimsy. Get a sturdier crank model. |

| Answer: | Yes, I have installed a 50 ft 1/4" cable in mine. This Ridgid is more robust than most and the auto feed is a nice feature. But, do not leave more than 4-5 inches out from the drain opening while spinning. Go slow and easy when you come to an obstruction. |

Lastly the very end is fastened to the inner housing with a screw and washer, plus increased diameter (again) to help prevent slipping out where it is fastened. |

| Answer: | It depends on your head pressure. There is a graph located in the middle of the product description. How high you have to push the water (total head pressure) will affect your output of the pump. For instance at 10 feet of head the pump is pushing 45 gpm approximately. I can tell you I use this pump to pump out large 33,000 gallon pools, large 20,000 fountains and also pumping out my driveways when they flood in Phoenix. It works very well. I recommend you also buy the extension hoses which helps alot when redirecting the water to a drain location. |
