Question: | Can one get a 240v version of this machine? dewalt wet tile salw d36000s |
Answer: | This an old question, but would like to share my experience with using miter saws for cutting steel. Assuming you used the proper blade for cutting steel and other metals there are two considerations, heat and sparks. Trying to use some miter saws that were design for mainly cutting wood you get sparks bouncing back at you and the Kerf plate is usually plastic which will melt from the heat. |
Question: | Can a 4” brick be cut |
Answer: | The laser will never keep its value. $20 is still $20. Not accurate enough for finer work; Rough cuts are OK, otherwise use pencil lines & define your cut line. My opinions are from 40+ years with power tools. |
Question: | laser guide |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Does this use the same stand as the 24” model |

User questions & answers
Question: | The product info says wet cutting for stone for dust control, but what about cutting metal - is that dry cut only |
Answer: | Yes. I drilled ceramic and marble tile. Just a suggestion you should look at a drill guide and glass cutting oil. The instructions say tilt the bit to start the hole but the bit will walk so the guide stabilizes the bit on the glass and makes a much cleaner cut. Look at these: Bonsicoky 10Pcs Diamond Drill Bit Set (0.3"-2"/8-50mm) & Hole Saw Guide Fixture for Tile, Ceramic, Glass, Porcelain, Marble, DIY and https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Cutting-Specially-Formulated-Cutter/dp/B07NS2Y4TK/ref=pd_rhf_ee_p_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=TT06E13YH896EGCS26VQ |
Question: | does the kit come with the female water hose connector to the saw |
Answer: | It'll probably "work" but I doubt you'll like the results. It'll be slower going, and going thru anything much more than 3/4 inch would not work. It's pretty inexpensive, so you could give it a shot and not be out much, but there's better tools for that job. The metal is not the hardest and I bent the center pin on one stone cut, got sloppy, so this is probably not an improvement over whatever you're using now. |
Question: | How long does it take to charge one battery |
Answer: | You have to open up the "chuck" on the drill (where you put the drill bit) almost as far as it will go, and insert the saw's "peg" into the opening. Then tighten the chuck. Remember, to use a slow speed on the drill. |
Question: | Is this saw made in China |
Answer: | Loose |
