User questions & answers

Question: What type of blade does the 375 use
Answer: The shapton 16000 grit flattening Stone comes flat right out of the box and it doesn't need flattening for a while and this year sharpening knives on it or something
Question: Can the unit be operated on a benchtop without the stand
Answer: Shapton glass stones are arguably the best sharpening stones on the market. The 16000 stone is for polishing not sharpening and it will polish Damascus steel without a problem. These stones are rated to sharpen and polish steels of all Rockwell hardness. When considering what stones to use it isn't a matter of Damascus or not it is all about the hardness of the steel and Shapton stones have you covered.
Question: Needing to know the dimensions of the box? Will it fit in back seat of a car like a chevy cruze? Gonna buy locally cus its cheaper than amazon
Answer: They come in 36 and 80. the 36+ in the lower left is the grit. They both work well but don't last a super long time under heavy grinding. They are best saved for times when tight space filing is needed. Good luck, Arty
Question: How easy is it to unhook and rehook blades for doing inner cuts
Answer: The tool can be either electric or pneumatic, what matters is the width and length of the tool. These are for a 1/2" x 18" file tool and the difference is the grit of the file belt itself, you have 36, 60, and 80 grit belts. I personally recommend the 60, and 80 grit belt files as the 36 wears out much faster.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the pinless adapter upgraded in this model
Answer: Yes
Question: What’s the difference between this and the
Answer: The difference is toolless or tooled blade changes. That's the only difference I found in the 2 units.
Question: What blades are you all using
Answer: I use spiral blades which, unlike regular flat blades, you can cut by pushing and pulling your piece being cut.
Question: I am new to scroll saws so have to ask. Is it worth the $40 difference in price for the 3921 over the 3920 and why
Answer: this model(3921) replaces the 3920, they added a few features and the pinless clamps to the mix. the price difference is for the design changes and the extra pieces they add. 3921 is better than the 3920 when you count in the extra features.
Question: does it come with sand paper
Answer: Ours didn't. But just cut a full sheet in half and half again. Love how well it works.
Question: is it ok to use on an old desk? I am concerned about the circar pattern of this sander, I won't be able to follow the grain of the wood
Answer: It's a small orbit, about 1/16", like a vibration. For $30 give it a try. If you use fine paper on the last pass and move the sander in the directionof the grain, should be ok. I think it's agreat little tool.
Question: What about the cutted sections in the sandpaper
Answer: Hi, Put the sandpaper section on the sander. The sander came with a black square item that has spikes. Push the sander over the spikes and the holes in the sandpaper will appear. Also the holes are only needed if you want to collect the dust in the bag. I do not use the collection bag.
Question: Where do I find refills online for the 1/4 sheet
Answer: What is "Full Sized Sheet"? , I see 8 1/2 x 11 and 8 x 10.

Question: Does the saw take U-shank or T-shank blades
Answer: Yes
Question: Dose this tool have a case , if so how much will it cost & and where can I buy it
Answer: That might depend on the thickness and type of plastic. Very thick, dense plastics with a low melting point might melt a bit. Most wouldn't melt. Glass, is not really suited to this kind of cutting tool, besides it is usually scored and cracked apart. If you need curves in glass, score the curve once and make radial scores away from the curve and break it off in smaller sections.
Question: Im cutting inch thick trim thats in place can i set the blade cutting depth
Answer: It does not come with a case.

Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw with Steel Rip Fence, Miter Gauge, and 7 Accessories – RK7323

Rockwell

Based on 2 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is the solution to the problem of having to take materials back to the workshop to cut them, and then bring them back to the job site later on. If you’re a contractor, you know that that process can add an entire day to a project. The BladeRunner is only 15 lbs, so while stable and sturdy, it’s easy to toss in the back of the truck. And with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”, it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like traditional table saws. The hold-down guard and splitter allow for work with wider materials, and a larger rip fence than other portable table saws provides better control and accurate cuts. A no-load speed of 3000/min, a stroke length of ¾”, with 5.5 amps of power gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood (up to 1-1/2”), ceramic tile (3/8”), PVC pipe (1-1/4”), aluminum (3/8”), and steel (1/8”). (Anything over 1-1/2” and you’re probably going to need a traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw—but you can’t take that to the job site.) The blades change out almost instantly, in under 3 seconds once you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. And the saw is protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools.

  • [SETS UP IN SECONDS] Take this table saw to the job site or move it around the workshop. There’s even a built-in carry handle
  • [CUTS LIKE A FULL-SIZE] With the standard guard and riving knife system you can perform rip, cross, scroll, and miter cuts
  • [TOOL-LESS BLADE CHANGE] Uses any brand’s standard 4” T-shank blade, but we threw 5 in the box to get you started cutting wood, ceramic tile, plastic, aluminum, and metal
  • [0-60° MITER CUTS] With the adjustable gauge you can pull off precise miter cuts for a whole assortment of woodworking projects
  • [ON-BOARD ACCESSORY STORAGE] When the miter gauge, rip fence, and extra blades aren’t in use they can be conveniently housed in the base of the saw
  • [SAFETY SWITCH] Prevents accidental starting, plus the vacuum port lets you hook up a shop vac that cleans while you cut

User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between this unit and the RK7321 BladeRunner
Answer: It is a 30mm arbor. You have to get metric sizes in blades.
Question: how would it work w/ making pinewood derby cars
Answer: the tacklife saw blade has that size arbor ans 120 teeth
Question: Can it hold up to regular use with 1" hardwood like maple and ash? If not, what will
Answer: Yes, it can be replaced.
Question: Is the table made from plastic? It is hard to tell if it is made from black plastic or anodized aluminum

Give us a call to discuss the details of your project, filling larger voids, and our casting resins (541) 450-1976. We offer free project support anytime. We look forward to hearing from you!
Question: What size blades does this saw take
Answer: I wouldn't recommend this. If there is an existing backsplash on your wall that is attached to your countertop you can coat it with effects like you would on your countertops. There are tutorial videos for that. Or you could just get peel and stick tile to add to the backsplash area AFTER you epoxy countertops then seal with silicone.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the length of the blades
Answer: We do not offer replacement jaws for other manufactures vices.
Question: does it work on metal
Answer: Nope, it does not swivel... Which I like because it's one less thing to break. Great industrial strength heavy-duty vise.... Highly recommend!
Question: Does it cut Kydex/plastic
Answer: After thirty days it is said to cure to heat resistance. I haven’t had any problems with spilled grease and run the crock pot and air fryer directly on the counter with no problems. I used a less heat resistant product on my island as I did it first and didn’t know differently and everything hot sticks to it so this product is better by far
Question: What is that straw coming out from the top and pointing at the blade
Answer: We use Acetone to clean up the epoxy when it is still wet. We let the epoxy dry in our mixing buckets, but we tip them on end, then when it's dry it can be peeled out of the smooth plastic bucket. The brushes can be cleaned in acetone or only used once. If the epoxy is dry, heat up the dried epoxy with a heat gun or blow dryer, then use a scraper or flat head screwdriver to pull up if it spilled on the floor.

User questions & answers

Question: Well this cut O-1 steel 3/16ths thick
Answer: I think the saw would handle it but you would smoke the blade. I cut some 1/2 Black Oak with my saw and the going was slow.
Question: Will this work well with cutting 1.5" to 2' thick dried oak on a consistent basis
Answer: I wouldn’t recommend it. Mine lasted about 3 months just cutting plywood.
Question: For small projects (like puzzle making) would a respirator, an air purifier and a shop vac prevent dust problems if the saw is used indoors
Answer: I think you pretty much have it covered, the Scroll saw does not make a lot of fine dust so most of it would be picked up with the shop vac, the Air Purifier is a Plus and a respirator will protect your lungs. other than that there may be residual dust that gets on the floor but not much.
Question: What brand of scroll saw blades can this machine use? I just ordered it. THank you Fay
Answer: We got the Proxxon 02815 set from Amazon (18 pieces), consisting of 28740, 28742 and 28744 scroll Saw Blades for DSH Coarse Pin End Blades, very satisfied with them.

Shop Fox W1713 16" Variable Speed Scroll Saw

Variable speed control, extra cutting capacity and cast iron construction are the features most sought after in a Scroll Saw. The Shop Fox Scroll Saw also offers a gooseneck work light, dust blower and dust port, large 45° tilt table and easy blade changes.

Table Tilt

The Shop Fox Scroll Saw offers the ability to cut at angles from 0-45-degrees with the table tilt mechanism. The table lock knob and tilt scale are used to tilt the table for horizontal angle cuts.

Keep your saw running smooth and your shop clean by connecting the 1-1⁄4 inch dust port of your scroll saw to a shop vacuum to keep the wood debris from accumulating underneath the table insert.

Plain and Pin-End Blade Compatible

The W1713 accepts standard plain or pin-end saw blades and is designed to make blade changes easy with the included adapters.

A adjustable hold-down shoe prevents the workpiece from rising up with the force of the moving blade while the air nozzle blows air at the cutting location to keep wood debris away from the line of the cut.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this saw come with a stand
Answer: NO! Even though Delta and DeWalt are very similar, The DeWalt stand has to be adapted to fit the Delta saw. Takes a few minutes.
Question: What is the 'thing' on left side? How easy to change blade, need a tool? Disappointed no light, any available
Answer: That black tube thing on the left is an adjustable hose that blows puffs of air (generated I think from the up and down motion of the upper arm) which will help keep your lines clear of sawdust. Changing blades is a snap, simply loosen the thumb / wing screw on the top arm and the lower holder and slide out the blade. As for the light, I make due with a shop lamp that I have hanging from the ceiling of my garage. You can check woodcraft or rockler for magnetic portable lamps that may stick to the saw somewhere - not sure if its magnetic everywhere, never tried
Question: The saw is great but I can not get the hold down to stay in place. I move the wood and it also moves. Any thoughts
Answer: I removed mine even though it held just fine as I found that it got in my way. This was after I'd gotten used to the saw and the forces involved. I haven't had an issue using it without the hold down, but you have to do the holding down.
Question: There's such a price difference, what's the main difference between this saw and the dewalt dw
Answer: Only difference is some of the outside sheet metal, the inner workings are the same. You are paying for the Dewalt name. They both used to owned by the same company.

User questions & answers

Question: Do the 18v PC batteries fit this
Answer: If you're referring to 18V NiCaD Porter-Cable batteries, probably not. The batteries must fit the 20V Max tool battery interface--that's the important key. Stanley holds the patent on 18V and 20V LiON tool batteries. 18V lithiun really is the same as The 20V LiON--20V lithium tool batteries available for Porter-Cable, from Stanley and 3rd parties, is just pumped-up marketing for actual 18V. Porter-Cable was purchased by Stanley some years ago--the point is moot. Kobalt put out 24V lithium tools--simply to bypass Stanley's royalties and legal hassles for 18-20V lithium batteries.....
Question: Are the 18 volt lithium ion batteries usable on the 20 volt systems and vice versa
Answer: Each tool and battery has a configuration to only allow the right battery to be inserted.18 and 20 are not interchangeable.
Question: Does this jigsaw comes with a built-in LED light
Answer: MY SAW DOES NOT HAVE A LIGHT.
Question: does this saw use U-shank or T-shank blades
Answer: It uses T-shank blades.
