User questions & answers
Question: | I am buying the dewalt 788 scroll saw in looking at this stand i find i cannot sit at it. can anyone recommend a stand brand that i can sit at |
Answer: | Not sure why you would use a mask on the laser cutter. This is a temporary adhesive. I have used it while cutting .75-1.0 inch thick hardwood and the blade gets very hot. I had no issues removing the product due to the heat but I also control my speed to avoid burning so this is no where near your temperatures. |
Question: | Will this work with wen scroll saw 24x11x |
Answer: | Probably not. It’s sticky on one side to apply it to the wood, then the paper is peeled off the other side to attach the pattern. The sticky side won’t go through your printer. |
Question: | I ordered through Amazon. It didn't have any bolts in the box (which was damaged upon arrival). If you ordered through Amazon did you get bolts |
Answer: | not exactly sure, as long as the wood i apply it to is good n smoothe n dust free it does good holding my patterns to the wood while im scrollsaw cutting, i would say try it with a small scrap piece first and see how it does for you. |
Question: | Can anyone tell me what the assembled height (floor to table) is for the scroll saw when it is mounted on this stand |
Answer: | Sorry the Lifter will not work on the Delta 40-694. It only works on the Dewalt 788 and the Delta 40-690. The Delta 40-694 has a built in mechanism for holding the saw arm in the up position. Frank - Papa's Workshop |
Question: | Do these fit any scroll saw |
Answer: | The Dewalt scroll saw arm will not stay in the UP (raised) position by itself. This makes it difficult to move your blade to a new position for an different interior cut in your project. The LIFTER is an accessory for the scroll saw that allows you to latch the saw arm in the UP position when you need to. Then you just unlatch the LIFTER and lower the saw arm so you can continue to make cuts in your pattern. Many folks, including myself, used to prop up the saw arm with a block of wood. Now we don't have that problem anymore. Thanks Frank Carey - Papa's Workshop |
Question: | Can i order just the number 5 one |
Answer: | Bill, thanks for the question. What you're suggesting does work - sorta. Here's my thoughts. When you tighten the screw enough to hold up the arm, then there is added resistance when you want to lift the arm. Also when you want to lower the arm you have to also overcome the added resistance. So it does require extra effort on your part to raise and lower the saw arm. Granted if you don't set it too tight, it doesn't take a lot of muscle to raise and lower the arm. But if you're doing a lot of fretwork you'll be raising and lowering the arm a lot. So the extra effort gets kinda old after a while. I tried that method a long time ago and found I didn't care for it. If you make it too tight then the resistance is worse and if you make it too loose then the arm won't stay up. I think I was on a forum some time ago and someone said not to use that method on the Dewalt 788. Sorry but I don't remember which forum. One of the benefits of the Lifter is that it has no added resistance to the raising and lowering of the arm. The Lifter has about 95 reviews on Amazon and about 93 on my Papa's Workshop website. Almost all of them are 5 STAR reviews. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks - Frank |
Question: | do they fit the dewalt |
Answer: | Tamara, I can't answer that Yes or No. In my personal opinion I don't think it would since it doesn't affect the operation of the saw in any way. However, that is just my opinion. You might contact Dewalt Tech Support and see what they say. Here's a number that I found - 1-800-4-dewalt. |
Question: | What are the tpi for each number? I find they vary according to manufacturer and would like to know if possible |
Answer: | I have the "Smoke" ones and they have been fine in the rain. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i mount the axtra 8-outlet power strip on the table saw |
Answer: | We do not recommend modifications on our tools as they are designed to work as is. If you are meaning plugging it in to a 8 outlet powers strip: that is not recommended. This unit should be plug into a direct outlet of using the appropriate extension cord ( VOLTS, LENGTH and WIRE GAUGE) |
Question: | What are the dimensions of the unit on the stand when closed up. WxHxD? Need to know if it will fit in the storage cubby I have in the garage |
Answer: | Laid down flat - 27 1/2" wide, 46" long (you can take about 3" off this by using the shorter handle length slots), 25" high with rail on (21 1/2" with it off). You can stand it up or lay it down - either works. |
Question: | Does this saw accept dado blade set |
Answer: | Yes, you will need the Dado Throat Plate which is DeWalt Part Number DWE7402D1. Per DeWalt, do not attempt to stack dado blades thicker than 13/16" (20 mm). Do not use dado blades larger than 8" (200 mm) diameter. Since dado cuts are not thru-cuts, the cuts must be performed with the blade guard assembly removed. To remove the blade guard assembly, pull riving knife/blade guard release lever and pull up on the guard or riving knife to remove. When using the dado, the special dado insert (also sold as an accessory) must be used. |
Question: | How good would this saw be for a beginning woodworker on a limited budget |
Answer: | It's a great saw. It has some safety features that I love. If you have a limited budget I would recommend that you stave for a couple of days and buy this saw. It is bulky and it's gonna cost you a little over $600 out the door but it's worth it. Remember when buying tools try to buy the best you can find. You don't want a cheap tool to stop working in the middle of the day. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this saw come with a stand |
Answer: | NO! Even though Delta and DeWalt are very similar, The DeWalt stand has to be adapted to fit the Delta saw. Takes a few minutes. |
Question: | What is the 'thing' on left side? How easy to change blade, need a tool? Disappointed no light, any available |
Answer: | That black tube thing on the left is an adjustable hose that blows puffs of air (generated I think from the up and down motion of the upper arm) which will help keep your lines clear of sawdust. Changing blades is a snap, simply loosen the thumb / wing screw on the top arm and the lower holder and slide out the blade. As for the light, I make due with a shop lamp that I have hanging from the ceiling of my garage. You can check woodcraft or rockler for magnetic portable lamps that may stick to the saw somewhere - not sure if its magnetic everywhere, never tried |
Question: | The saw is great but I can not get the hold down to stay in place. I move the wood and it also moves. Any thoughts |
Answer: | I removed mine even though it held just fine as I found that it got in my way. This was after I'd gotten used to the saw and the forces involved. I haven't had an issue using it without the hold down, but you have to do the holding down. |
Question: | There's such a price difference, what's the main difference between this saw and the dewalt dw |
Answer: | Only difference is some of the outside sheet metal, the inner workings are the same. You are paying for the Dewalt name. They both used to owned by the same company. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this the newer version? Apparently there is an improvement to this item that makes it more likely to stay where it is positioned |
Answer: | medium brown |
Question: | What type of bulb, it said "intermediate" base?? what size is that |
Answer: | Toe box on Veronica is about same size but shape is more pointy. Soles are not grippy like engineer |
Question: | what are the electrical properties of the bulb |
Answer: | I just received these boots within the last two weeks. I own several pair of Frye boots, shoes and sandals which have been bought at various retail stores and directly from Frye as well as Amazon. I have actually ordered 3 different Frye sandals/boots/shoes from Amazon and every time I have ordered, they have been the Frye quality I expect. |
Question: | What type of bulb does the DW7881 lamp take |
Answer: | On my pair of 8.5’s, they are 16.5 inches from the bottom of the boot. I hope this helps. |
Question: | Hello, I'de like to buy this product. Is it possible to send it to France ( Paris ) Thanks |
Answer: | 15" around, but there are also 2 elastic gores, 1 on either side of the back seam. |
Question: | Can this be used to mask laser cut pieces |
Answer: | The calf measures 16", but l got the extended version. They were a little tight at first but after wearing for a while they fit well with skinny jeans and were quite comfortable. |
Question: | Can I run this through my Inkjet printer |
Answer: | i'm not sure how long of a period of time you have in mind, but i've spent a half day out in the snow with these and was dry throughout. i've used them in some rain storms too, and as long as the puddles don't go above the leather, you're left nice and dry! |
Question: | Could this be used to hold layers of veneer together while cutting |
Answer: | I don't know that there is a rating, but toes seem to get cold easily in most rubber boots. These are nice boots, and look great, but I wouldn't wear them in temps much below freezing for long. Also, I have many boots, but these are some of the heaviest I own. Excellent lug sole for traction in snow. |

User questions & answers
Question: | WILL THIS WORK WITH THE BATTERY DCB200 3.O.AH 20V |
Answer: | Yes the blade change is keyless but it take a nontraditional blade. |
Question: | Is this Product has Battery |
Answer: | Yes the base can be tilted |
Question: | Which dewal jig saw bare tool is brushless like makita 18 v lxt brushless |
Answer: | Yes. Any of the Ryobi 18V lithium ion batteries will work in this tool. The P108 is a 4.0AH battery that has the standard Ryobi connector design. The saw works beautifully by the way. If you're a homeowner who won't be using this all day every day on a job site, this is all the Sabre Saw you'll ever need. |
Question: | will the jig saw DCS331B work with the battery DCB |
Answer: | According to the answer from "Riyobi Tool Team" on the HD web site, "The difference in the two models is that the P5231 has an upgraded blade clamp", but then the "Community Answer" claims, for what it's worth, that the P523 "is more powerful and yellow as opposed to blue" |
- All-metal lever-action keyless blade change
- All-metal keyless shoe bevel with detents at 0Degree, 15Degree, 30Degree and 45Degree

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this model (DCS331M1)work on Battery DCB200-2 3.0 Ah |
Answer: | Bi metal will leave a cleaner hole, however this will plow through 2x pine all day. 50+ 3" holes and still going strong |
Question: | Does it come with a charger |
Answer: | Yes it can. I recommend using as low speed drill drill as possible (~ 300 rpm or less if possible). You may also want to consider placing tape around the hole area to help prevent radial cracks. This is a large cutter, take it slow and easy and be prepared as it may grab if not square to the work. |
Question: | How many batteries come with it, one or two and is it a 3.0AH or higher |
Answer: | Yes, there is more or less a standard for reciprocating saw blades (the term "Sawzall" is a trademark of Milwaukee tools). I've had a previous cordless Dewalt reciprocating saw (plus a corded version before that), and have used Milwaukee, Bosch, and Freud blades with it - maybe even some cheapo off-brands as well. As long as its a "reciprocating saw" blade (versus, say, a jig saw blade) you should be fine. |
Question: | Does the case hold 1 battery or |
Answer: | No it does not come with the blades. |
Question: | Just received saw and arm is very stiff and hard to lift and lower. Will this improve in time? Can I add some wd 40 at the swivel point of the arm |
Answer: | No blades with the tool purchased bare tool |
Question: | does it come with the stand and the floor petal |
Answer: | Yes all 18 volt Lithium Battery fits any 18 volt device. |
Question: | What kind of blades does this one use? Pin-end or plain end blades |
Answer: | Tim, I'm not really sure. Any store that sells DeWalt stuff? I never looked for short blades. Short blades are good for metal cutting but most of my chores are wood. |
Question: | Is it still made in taiwan or made in Mainland china |
Answer: | Hello Tommaso...my charger indicates 110/120 volt only. Not sure I understand your question about a converter...my charger indicates .6 amp load so small converter would work. Hope this helps; we have been to Italy twice and loved it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | whats the wattage |
Answer: | Yes, this jig saw is equipped with four cutting actions, three orbital and one straight. |
Question: | will this saw cut without any drift from the blade or cut vertically square |
Answer: | No we did not get a case. It came in a cardboard box. |
Question: | Does it come with a case as it indicates? Comments on the review state the case is not included |
Answer: | You are limited by the length of the blade used. The blade stroke is one-inch for this saw, so the max depth of wood to cut is approximately the length of the blade minus one-inch. A two-inch long blade is fine for standard 3/4-inch wood; I have used a three inch long blade for a 1/-3/4 inch thick (two-by boards) with good results. |
Question: | How thick of wood will this cut |
Answer: | Probably not. These pliers are made for thicker wire. |
