Answer:	Had an earlier model for years and sanded wood, glass, and sharpened metal with it. (ie. wood chisels & knives) the idealer end finally wore out and I purchased this model. Hard to answer that question. If it will be small amounts of removal it will mosy likely be fine if you are grinding an inch off of a six foot 4 inch wide leaf spring I'd switch to a grinder or cutting torch.

Answer:	The hook and loop pad, brake, and brushes are not covered by the lifetime parts replacement. I'm not even sure the bearings are. They took 12 days to respond to my inquiry on their website after I opened a case that I gave up with them and ordered all the parts I needed for my two 8-month old units - pads, brakes, bearings and brushes. The lower bearings just behind the pad were no longer being offered by Ridgid and designated as obsolete, which is wholly unacceptable on units still being sold as new. I was able to find bearings for another brand that fit.

Answer:	Amazon has it. Part# 300527002 for about $7.00. I have been through a couple of these, but still have a lot of life left in the sander itself.

Answer:	1) Random failure of a cheap switch. 2) sliding block of plastic that ACTUATES that cheap switch gets jammed in its plastic channel (inevitable dirt and grit) very hard to slide off or on. 3) speed control does nothing. all one speed. 4) velcro pad just lets go of sandpaper at times. WHEN IT RUNS, it's good.

Answer:	Yup should fit they fit my 03 660 only thing is it's brighter with low beams the high beams seem to point up too high I'm not sure if it's where the actual led is when it sits in the light fixture but even with low beams it better then regular bulbs

Answer:	This seems to be the case with all LED replacements. You would have to file off the little nub that aligns the bulb and then install it 180 degrees off. Or switch the wires in the harness. Or just leave it. Never really bothered me to have them backwards.

Answer:	We had a couple of things we tried. The control board and door switch were what we tried - the control board eventually was what we had to replace. It was pretty straightforward- there are YouTube videos that show how to do it.

Answer:	I replaced the board with the circuit power off, per instructions. When I turned it back on, the board started up but stalled again in a minute or so, just like the old one did. When I turned off the circuit and turned it back on, it worked! Been working now for a few weeks with no problem.
Question:	what makes the sanding belt 'walk' off the track? I tried loosening it; I tried tightening it~I still spend more time repositioning than sanding
