Answer:	Coarse Wool pad is for buffing heavy oxidation or where a light sanding, with 1500 grit or 2000 grit, to level orange peel or dust nibs after painting. Very fine wool pads are used for polishing. I believe the yellow pad (a little more firm than the white) is for light buffing to bring back the shine, and the white pad (softer than the yellow) is for high luster polishing. As a general rule, pads range from course to fine, that is true for both wool pads and foam pads. The coarseness or fineness of wool pads is more easily identified by just a glance. Foam pads you actually have to pick up feel. The firm foam pads are for more oxidized paint, and the soft foam pads are for polishing. Foam pads tend to be more preferred, because the friction of the foam pad is far less than wool pads, therefore less chance to 'burn' thru paint/finish, because they remain cooler. Also, as a result of less friction, swirl marks from buffing/polishing are less of an issue when using foam pads. Hope this helps

Answer:	If you are using an extension cord, it could be that the gauge of the extension cord is to small and thus the power tool has to overwork to get the amps it needs to properly run with out overheating. I always use 10 gauge. If this is not the case return the item.

Answer:	Milwaukee's site shows it as 1750 RPMs so I would go with that. I can tell you that the one I have listed for sale does show 0-1750RPM on the polisher itself.

Answer:	Yes that’s basically what I use is 10” polishing pad for aluminum and stainless steel. I use a 6000 rpm for cutting then use this one for final stage of polishing since it’s a lower rpm at 3500. I like this one for final stage as I can turn it down to 2000 rpm for a final mirror finish.

Answer:	Can, I use a 5 inch. I usually buy DeWalt products but this one I don't really recommend. I would go for the Makita. This polishe has a problem with 800 then to 600. It's very troublesome with product flying.

Question:	I have this machine...what do i need to do to learn how to correct paint to a great finish
Answer:	Go to the junk yard and buy several panels. Use the machine for about 200 hours. (No, I'm not kidding). THEN, you can use it on an actual car. Not saying that you can't use it before then without screwing something up bad, but don't come near my car with it! Seriously, watching Youtube and all is great but do not use this without some practice on things that won't matter if you screw up. Also, learn the difference between things you do with this that you can fix (like with a random orbital) and things you do that you can't fix.

Question:	does it use sticky sandpaper or hook and loop
Answer:	Other pads are better suited for that job. I use Chemical Guys pads with Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound 105 on the Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbit Polisher and the micro-scratches come right out. In my experience, that's a better combination (of compound and pads) than using this type of pad.
Question:	What is the difference between this porter cable 7346spr and the porter cable 7424xp
Answer:	The polishing action is very gentle and leaves no swirls or marks on my car's paint but I would talk to a granite sales person about this just to be safe.
