Answer:	I would suggest you contact Rikon directly - I have found them to be very helpful. The belt is easy to replace and should not be expensive.

Answer:	Not sure what holes are you talking about, but assuming that the back up pad on your sander has holes to absorb the dust, most sanding discs come without holes except Festool brand. You can find them here in Amazon depending on the grit that you need.

Answer:	Technically speaking, you don't even need a vacuum. It's got built-in suction and the exhaust is blown into the bag. I don't use the bag. Nearly any vacuum will work, but some are more appropriate than others, and I would highly suggest putting a bag in your canister vac before using it with drywall.

Question:	How powerful is it. Does it bog down when putting moderate pressure against the belt or disk. Also does it run true with little to no wobble
Answer:	1) With moderate pressure, it does not bog down. With heavy pressure it slows a bit, but I have not found that to be problematic. However, so you know, I use it with 1/2 in wide belts, so there would be a bit more drag with 1 in belts. 2) There is no significant wobble. It runs true. 3) The only problem I found was a slightly uneven platen, but I was able to bend it back true.
Question:	Is the motor loud when running with nothing being sanded? How would you compare it to a corded 3/8" drill
Answer:	It's not the quietest sander but if I had to rate the noise level on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the quietest and 10 being the loudest, I would give it an 8 with just the motor running.

Answer:	Mine says 2.3 amps and belt speed- 3340 rpm (no load) and disc speed 3350 rpm (no load).

Answer:	Yes you can use this sander to sand metal. I purchased this sander specifically to sharpen knifes and metal cutting tools, just make sure to use the right sand paper.

Question:	I see in the description this tool is intended for wood, what would happen if metal is used
Answer:	The sanding belt and disc is what is intended for wood. Get a metal sanding belt/disc and you will be good to go!
Question:	What is the country of origin
Answer:	China. But it works well. The only problem is the dust port on the belt sander. It’s next to impossible to plug a vac into it when it’s in the upright position as it’s generally pictured. You have to jury-rig a flexible hose to the sander to which you can attach a vac hose.

Answer:	The dust ports are fixed on the machine and two universal size reducers( 1-3/8 In O.D) are connected to the outside of the dust ports.

Answer:	I use a 4x36 with 60 grit zirconia belt to sharpen my mower blades. Iin my opinion it is far superior to the angle grinder and flap disk method, and the hand held on a bench grinder method. It is faster, more precise, and more controllable than those alternates. It leaves the best looking edge I've ever put on a mower blade.

Answer:	Yes if you use the right type of sand paper. Sand paper that is meant for metal.

Here is what I have done with a drive belt off an old Sears table saw, I took the old belt to car quest auto parts and they also carry an assortment of machinery belts. You might be able to look up the owners manual on the internet. Also Harbor freight carries that sander, they might have the belt or might order you one.
Question:	Does drive shaft have one bearing or two? Mine (a cast iron model) lasted onlt about 30 hours of use. Steel model has one shaft for both sanders
Answer:	Not loud at all ... just tension the drive v belt and it is a perfect small shop sander. It is shipped with the belt in slack mode so as not to over stretch the v belt. People are just lazy to read the manual - it is much easier to complain via the keyboard.

Question:	What is the frame made out of
Answer:	The disk sanding plate is on the same axle as the 4x36 belt drum. That axle has two ball bearings. One on the far side of the sander, and the other right near where the V pulley wheel is. BTW, this model sander has much larger ball bearings than the other WEN model sander. I have had this for over 2 years, and run the heck out of it. Never broke. But I did make some mods to improve performance.

Question:	how to use a leather belt
Answer:	I don't know. I purchased this to sharpen knives and therefore also purchased one of those angle-adjustable knife rests. I works well. There is one thing that is disappointing: the motor gets REALLY HOT if it it one for say, more than 20 minutes (even with just the belt on.... virtually no load on the belt). The motor housing needs some type of ventilation ducts, IMO.

Answer:	There is a backer behind the belt about an inch and a half high just above the lower platform. It is enough to support belt for smaller items. Above that belt is only held by belt tension
