Question:	What do the different scale numbers mean
Answer:	The silver sale is zero to 90 degrees and is used for angle of the cut. The brass scale is from 1 to 96 positions on the one I bought and is used to position the cuts. IE to get four main facets you would grind in positions 96, 72, 48, and 24.

Answer:	If i understand the question yes it connect to the tabel and slides up and down the table ive got 2 . 1 like this one and and anther from ebey now on this one here the arm doesn't disconnect and the only reason i brought this for the angel stop Which the one ebey doesn't have and like it alot more because you can remove the arm if you are willing to make your on back stop for the angle arm then i would suggest the one on ebey for 60$ but both are nice just depends on your stile of work and what you are doing me i do chessboards hopes that helps
