Question:	What is the RPM range
Answer:	In my experience, I believe I may have had the water flow to high which splashed onto the top of the polisher. Also I used it for long time periods (30 minutes plus). Once I purchased rubber gloves ($10 pair), I no longer got shocked. Overall the polisher did a beautiful job on my concrete countertops.
Question:	how do you remove the backing pad after has been installed
Answer:	These are made to polish stone by using a series of diamond grit pads that start at about 50 grit up to 3000 then a polish pad. They will give you a glass smooth finish on granite or marble. I don't believe the cement based plaster that is used in pools has a fine enough grain to be polished to this smoothness. Most that I have seen use a coating to achieve the glass smoothness.
Question:	Is this a brushless motor
Answer:	I don’t see why not, but I believe that Corian can be sanded and polished using traditional paint processing and buffing tools and tech, so this kind of water-only polisher might be overkill.

Answer:	yes you can and yes it is 5/8

Question:	What is the warranty
Answer:	Why not? It is basically a grinder with water. Might burn out over time if too much torque is used. A polisher does not use that much torque. Pay attention to the smell of the motor and slow down if you smell a burning. A 4inch Makita is only 59 bucks and has the high speed that is designed for cutting and abuse. Better choice and faster production. Time is money. Good luck

Answer:	Lock nut is not included.
Question:	you mentioned var-6 speeds, not indicate its low- high speeds. they are? * above performance descp shows 3000--- is that high speed? or what
Answer:	I've used it without water and it's not good, it doesn't take much water too polish, now if you use a regular orbital sander, you can do most of your shaping, start with 100 grit and work your way up at the end use the polisher and finish up.
Question:	Stone Mason here, can you use these to cut venerr stone as a grinder/cutting tool instead of a flat polish tool
Answer:	You want to stick to 3000-5000 rpms for all of the pads. The finer the grit the lower the speed is my recommendation.

This professional unit is equipped with a 800-Watt variable speed motor and features a variable speed dial for optimal control. You can operate from 700-3,000-RPM. After shaping the edge of your slab (profile wheel not included), you'll most likely want to polish it so that it matches the top of the countertop. This Hardin VSP polishing kit with granite and marble pads is the ideal kit for this application. The pads in this kit are not general or multi-purpose polishing pads. They are professional grade 4 diameter X 3MM thick granite and marble pads made with a softer bond resin that releases the diamonds at the proper rate for hard materials. Start the polishing process with the lower-Grit diamond pads and work your way up consecutively to the last one to achieve that factory shine. You'll want to take care with the 50 and 100-Grit pads. Question:	does this come with a lock nut can it be used with a cutting blade
Answer:	Take your time. I assume you want to polish the cut edges Don't tilt the polisher too much, or you can knock segments off the polishing wheel. If you can, get a scarp piece of granite and do a practice run to get the hang of it. Of course the polishing needs to be done out doors. Water sprays everywhere.
Question:	Can this unit operate as a dry polisher by not connecting a water source
Answer:	I used it on my travertine marble floor tile. It works well but of course it is messy. It is a good value for the money.
Question:	I purchased polisher and it has 6 speeds. My question is, what is the optimal speed for each pad grade (50, 100 etc
Answer:	No transformer was included. However, I used to polish 40 square feet of concrete counters & it worked wonderfully. Excellent motor for grinding & polishing.
Question:	I am going to do an undermount sink in granite, what else do i need for this project
Answer:	No, not really to the best of my recollection. There might have been a schematic diagram regarding the parts but there certainly weren't any usage instructions. Be very careful with the brass locking screw; it's prone to breaking.

Question:	Can i use this to polish the finish on my swimming pool
Answer:	Not happy with the water design, as others stated. the quick connect fitting is not something you can find at local stores (Home depot, Lowes, Ferguson & Others) I spent a few days trying to find the correct fitting, no luck... What i did find is that it is a British 1/8th Thread "BSP 1/8th" Found an Adapter on amazon that will adapt to a 1/4" NSP... Not happy with the time i have spent searching for the right piece.... Important Note: It is very important to install the splash guard and control the amount of water used when polishing. You only need to keep the surface slightly wet to prevent dusts, otherwise water can go in the motor and lead to GFCI power protection to kick in and shut it down. When this happens, you need to wait for the motor to dry completely before push the RESET button on GFCI in order for the polisher to work again. This will cause delay in work time and affect motor life.

Question:	Is there a manual available online
Answer:	Thank you for your questions. The term universal is meant to be applied to AR products. With that being said, if the high pressure hose outlet has a 22 mm fitting with either a 14 or 15 mm inner diameter it should work.
Question:	Why doesn’t On/off switch stay on? You have to keep your thumb/finger on the switch to keep the polisher running
Answer:	1800. That is with the nozzle dialed down to a fine point. Set to a 4 to 6 inch spray width it probably averages about 1000 to 1200 psi. Good light duty washer, but for stained concrete or siding, you may want to look at 2500 psi and up gas units. This is however a great little unit for washing cars or fences or the back porch.
Question:	whats the difference between this model and DWP
Answer:	They are all different grit levels. The red pad is more for polish where the blue and green pads are for medium and more course cleaning. I use the green pad for clean my concrete floor in the garage. For inside I use the blue brush for tile floors.
Question:	Would you describe this tool as hard/easy to use? I am interested in working on slate countertops, I have no experience using this type of equipment
Answer:	I bought it for the oreck 550 machine and it worked perfect for me. I have no idea what the oreck 440 is. Maybe if you compare the measurements of your machine.

Answer:	The grinder has 1/2" Male Quick Disconnect, you can buy a 6' hose attachment that is lighter than std hose with the disconnects on each end, you need to put an adapter on the end of your hose that converts it from Male hose thread to 1/2" Male QD, each end of the lighter 6' hose has Female 1/2" QD fittings. I highly recommend getting the lighter hose whip, std hose is too stiff to make working comfortable.
Question:	Does the unit come with the backer pad shown in the photo
Answer:	Yes it does very well, it comes with different grades of sanding disc's that really do work good on jasper and agate.
Question:	Providing my own pads, could this be used in an automotive application for buffing and polishing paint
Answer:	The kit does not include any dust shroud, and we dont offer any dust shroud. If you have right sizes shroud you can connect and use. Wet polisher arbor size usually bigger then grinders, you need to find right sized dust shroud to use on this.

Answer:	The manufacturer does not state a warranty in time but does state their normal product warranty is 3 months. They also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I have used mine over the past summer/fall and find it is of excellent quality and I am satisfied with the hose. Also nice they include extra washers, carry bag, and a hanger as well as the spray nozzle.

Question:	Is there a dust shroud available for dry operation
Answer:	The speed range of the polisher is lowest 700 (Speed 1) and maximum 3000 (Speed 6). You can use the continuous dial to change the speed in between. The graph on top of the machine shows the range of speed with speed 1 to 6 and recommended speed for stone polishing as the green zone.
