14 best coil siding nailers
Coil siding nailers are specialized power tools used in construction and home improvement projects for fastening siding materials to a building's exterior. These nailers are designed to drive nails quickly and efficiently into various types of siding materials, such as vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal.
Key features and information about coil siding nailers include:
Nail Type: Coil siding nailers use coiled nails, which are held together with wire or plastic. These nails are typically designed with ring shanks or other features to provide enhanced holding power in siding materials.
Nail Size: The nail size can vary depending on the specific model, but they are generally between 1-1/4 inches to 2-1/2 inches in length. The size of the nail used depends on the thickness and type of siding being installed.
Operating Mechanism: Coil siding nailers are typically pneumatic tools, which means they require an air compressor to operate. They use compressed air to drive nails into the siding material.
Depth Adjustment: Most coil siding nailers come with depth adjustment settings that allow you to control the depth at which the nails are driven into the siding. This helps ensure a consistent and flush finish.
Collation Type: The coiled nails are collated together in a round magazine, making it easy to load and carry a large number of nails at once. This reduces the need for frequent reloading during a project.
Magazine Capacity: The magazine of a coil siding nailer can typically hold a large number of nails, which increases efficiency by reducing the frequency of reloading.
Safety Features: Siding nailers often include safety features such as a trigger lock to prevent accidental firing and a no-mar tip to protect the siding surface from damage.
Applications: Coil siding nailers are primarily used for installing siding materials on the exterior of buildings, but they can also be used for other tasks like framing, sheathing, and decking.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance, including keeping the tool clean and well-oiled, is essential to ensure the nailer's longevity and optimal performance.
Brands: Various brands manufacture coil siding nailers, including Bostitch, Hitachi, DeWalt, Makita, and others. It's important to choose a reputable brand and model that suits your specific needs.
When using a coil siding nailer, always follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the best results for your siding project. These tools are powerful and can significantly speed up the siding installation process when used correctly.

Question: | Will this work on James Hardie trim boards |

User questions & answers
Question: | What does this nail gun weigh, unloaded |
Answer: | These can cut and strip Romex / NM-B |
Question: | Does this shoot .090 nails |
Answer: | yes they are |
Question: | does anyone know how well does it shoot 11/4 nails into cedar shakes |
Answer: | it works |
Question: | Will this nailer feed and shoot 1 7/8 aluminum screw shank, plastic collated, Duo-Fast nails |
Answer: | Yes, as long as the AWG is between 20 and 30. Most communication wire is AWG 24, 26, so it would work. But, it is up to you to know the AWG of the wire you are using. If you use a hole that is too small in the stripper, you could nick the conductor and that would not be good. It's critical the proper AWG hole is used for the AWG wire. |

User questions & answers
Question: | The bullet points to the right of the pic of the nailer says it’s corded electric. Sure looks like an air nailer to me. What gives |
Answer: | Hello, the 22 inch is the total end to end. |
Question: | does it come with a case |
Answer: | You don't need to cut it, you can just leave it 'deployed' or unrolled at a shorter length. Instead of the simple "pull down" spring loaded mechanism, this blind has a plastic 'chain' to the side that you use to raise it up/down. We know this because the first thing we did was pull on the bottom edge of the blind, which only caused it to rip out of the wall. (We now use molly bolts). Hope this helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this nailer come with a belt hook |
Answer: | Hi there! For most polishing on the GET75-6N Sander, the RSM6044 extra soft backing pad will give the best results. For further assistance, contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST. |
Question: | Is Hitachi warranty good if purchased from this seller |
Answer: | Like most products there are likely components manufactured from around the world. Are you asking where it was assembled? |
Question: | Can this nailer be used installing sofit and facia 1/4" 4d headed nails |
Answer: | The sanding paper/pad you use would determine what material you can sand - so yes |
Question: | Will I receive a Hitachi or Matibo gun |
Answer: | The bottom of this has a lot of holes to fit various pads, one of the BEST qualities about it, it gives you lots of options for sanding disc types. Even though a 5-hole may not line up perfectly, you would still get dust collection out of it because most of the holes will be functional. It comes with a special bosch pad that has a hole pattern designed specifically for this sander. ANY regular 8 hole, 5inch sanding disc will fit this and give you the dust collection functionality perfectly. The same would hold true for the 6inch model - an 8 hole disc as well. You can probably use Festool discs and those "Net" or "Mesh" discs that are there (which, by the way, work really well on this sander because it has a whole bunch of smaller holes too) |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used for Hardie siding |
Answer: | 12 – 13 Gauge 15 Degree Wire or Plastic Collated Siding Nails from 1-1/16″ – 2″ |
Question: | can this nailer be used for fencing |
Answer: | Yes they fire nicely in this gun. I prefer them over the wire coil especially on siding. As the wire coil can throw off the wire in all directions when fired. Normally a 2 1/4 inch nail would have worked for my siding project but I am overlaying Hardy lap siding onto the existing siding so I want to make sure I get a good attachment into the meat of the Doug fir studs. Also pay the extra for the ring shank it is well worth in just for the holding power. Here are the nails I used for my project. They cost a little more to purchase likely just because the wire coil nails are so abundant. But as far as their overall use they work great, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MUAW90/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Answer: | Yes, it requires oil. Use Metabo HPT part # 118338M and refer to manual for recommended application |
