  1. Nail Gauge: The DeWalt 16-Gauge Finish Nailer is designed to accept 16-gauge nails. This gauge of nails is commonly used for finish work in carpentry and woodworking projects.

  3. Depth Adjustment: The nailer typically features a depth adjustment mechanism, allowing users to control how deeply the nails are driven into the material. This feature helps prevent overdriving or underdriving nails, ensuring a professional finish.

  4. Sequential and Bump Firing: Many models of DeWalt 16-Gauge Finish Nailers offer both sequential firing and bump firing modes. Sequential firing allows for precise placement of nails, while bump firing enables faster nailing for larger projects.

  6. Air-Powered: DeWalt 16-Gauge Finish Nailers are pneumatic tools, meaning they require an air compressor to operate. They are known for their consistent and powerful performance.

  7. Jam Clearing: Like many nail guns, the DeWalt 16-Gauge Finish Nailer is equipped with a jam-clearing mechanism to quickly resolve nail jams and maintain uninterrupted work.

  8. Durability: DeWalt is known for producing durable and reliable power tools, and their finish nailers are no exception. They are designed to withstand the rigors of construction and woodworking tasks.

  9. Brand Reputation: DeWalt is a well-established brand in the power tool industry, trusted by professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. Their tools are known for their quality and innovation.

  10. Accessories: Depending on the specific model, the nailer may come with accessories such as a carrying case, safety goggles, and additional no-mar tips to prevent damage to the work surface.

It's important to note that the features and specifications of a DeWalt 16-Gauge Finish Nailer may vary depending on the specific model and version. Before purchasing, it's advisable to check the product details and reviews to ensure that it meets your specific needs for finish carpentry and woodworking projects.

User questions & answers

Question: Is it brushless
Answer: I believe that it is brushless. I have 2 of the nail guns and they are great. Works fast and sets the nails ever time. Battery lasts a long time as well.
Question: Just got the nail gun. somehow it jammed as soon as placed brads in it. it seems to flip the brad. how is that possible? not happy i'm wasting brads
Answer: Ummm, yes, this is a finish nailer, big difference from a brad nailer. Make sure you are using 16 gauge 20 degree nails, not 15 gauge, and definitely not 18 gauge brads. This is a great nailer, but I'm not tossing out my Bostitch air nailers to replace it! This is a great supplement to the air nailers for small jobs that only last a day or so.
Question: Have they sorted out the Low nail depth issue yet? After some use my contractors say it wont Drive 2-1/2 nails
Answer: This is my second Dewalt finish nailer and I have never had any issues with it not driving 2 1/2" nails. That being said, if you are driving several 2 1/2 nails then you need to make sure you are working with a fully charged battery. I have noticed that if the battery gets to a 1/3 charge it will not drive 2 1/2" nails as deep. It also depends on the type of wood (hard or soft).
Question: Can this be used for blind nailing tounge and groove paneling
Answer: Yes but don't waste your money if you plan on using this gun a lot. I've had mine in the shop 3 times in the year I've owned it. Buy the 18 volt version is more powerful and breaks way less. I've used mine for the last 6 years at least. This new gun will not even drive 2 1/2" nails consistently through soft wood let alone any hard wood.

Product description

Two things set this tool apart from its classmates: the large nail capacity and the rear-loading magazine that lets you lock and load, or load and lock. The tool is light, comfortable, and sturdy, features DeWalt's ingenious tool-free jam-clearing mechanism, and offers a fantastic line of sight. The sliding depth adjustment is further evidence of DeWalt's creative problem-solving abilities. Unlock it with your index finger, slide the adjustment with your other hand, and you're ready to fire. This model has a nice plus in the 360-degree swivel exhaust cap. Great pad, too--it didn't mar anything to which we introduced it. Finally, and this may not seem like a big deal, but in everyday use you're going to love the reversible belt/rafter hook. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste
