13 best arrow nail guns
Arrow nail guns, commonly referred to as Arrow nailers, are power tools designed for driving nails into various surfaces, such as wood, plastic, or metal. These tools are widely used in construction, woodworking, and other DIY projects. Here's what you need to know about Arrow nail guns:
Types of Arrow Nail Guns: Arrow offers a range of nail guns to suit different applications. These include brad nailers, finish nailers, and staple guns. Each type is designed for specific nail or staple sizes and provides various features for different tasks.
Brad Nailers: Arrow brad nailers are used for driving thin, small-gauge brads (nails) into delicate materials. They are ideal for tasks like trim work, molding, and fastening lightweight materials.
Finish Nailers: Arrow finish nailers are designed for driving larger nails, typically 15 or 16-gauge finish nails. They are commonly used in applications that require a more significant holding power, such as installing baseboards, crown molding, and other carpentry work.
Staple Guns: Arrow staple guns are versatile tools used for driving staples into various materials. These are often employed in applications like upholstery, attaching fabric to furniture frames, and securing wiring.
Electric and Pneumatic Models: Arrow offers both electric and pneumatic (air-powered) nail guns. Electric models are powered by electricity and are suitable for smaller DIY projects. Pneumatic models require an air compressor to operate and are favored in professional and heavy-duty applications for their power and efficiency.
Ease of Use: Arrow nail guns are typically designed with user-friendliness in mind. They often feature ergonomic handles, adjustable depth settings, and jam-clearing mechanisms to enhance convenience during operation.
Safety Features: These tools come with safety mechanisms to prevent accidental firing. Most Arrow nail guns require the user to depress the tool's nose against the material before it can fire a nail or staple. This minimizes the risk of injury.
Nail and Staple Compatibility: Arrow nail guns are compatible with Arrow's own line of nails and staples, ensuring a reliable and compatible fastening system. However, they can often work with nails or staples from other manufacturers as well.
Maintenance: Like all power tools, Arrow nail guns require proper maintenance to ensure their longevity and optimal performance. This includes regular cleaning, lubrication, and the replacement of worn or damaged parts.
Applications: Arrow nail guns are used in a variety of applications, including carpentry, woodworking, framing, furniture assembly, flooring installation, and many other construction and DIY projects.
Arrow nail guns are known for their quality and reliability, making them a popular choice among both professionals and hobbyists who require efficient and precise fastening solutions. When used correctly and with proper safety precautions, these tools can greatly speed up the process of driving nails and staples, making tasks easier and more efficient.

User questions & answers
Question: | Could I use this to attach trim to a concrete basement wall |
Answer: | This shoots very thin 23 gauge nails. I would not attempt this with a concrete wall. There could be a chance of it ricocheting off the wall. A concrete wall should be studded out and drywalled before installing trim but if you need to do this you should attach the trim with liquid nails. |
Question: | Is this a one time use pin nailer |
Answer: | Hello, The Arrow PT23G pneumatic pin nailer uses strips of pin nails in various sizes. The pin nailer fires pin nails every time the user holds the tool against a surface to engage the safety mechanism and then pulls the trigger until the strip of pin nails is depleted. Hope this answers your question! Feel free to contact us at or 800-776-2228. - Your Arrow Fastener Team |
Question: | What length of nails |
Answer: | These are 23ga pins, 1 inch is the largest. Works great for small detail glue ups. |
Question: | Is this gun oil-less , or does it require oil maintenance |
Answer: | I always put a drop on oil in my air guns. That said I have not been impressed with this gun, I actually purchased another gun to replace it after my second use. |
