Answer:	Sounds like a faulty impact socket. We’ve used these to loosen frozen bolts many times without any issues. Very hard to break an impact rated Socket. There was probably a defect on the socket.

Answer:	Impacts need lubrication in two spots. The inlet and the hammer mechanism. Ready your owners manual for the procedure. Some have and oil plug and some are taken down and greased by hand.

Answer:	I got the 1/2" Tekton sockets and extensions and they've worked very well for me. Just be sure to check out the sizing of the sockets. One of the metric sets has bigger sockets but not sequentially getting larger (they skip some sizes). I got the 11mm-23mm I think. Has all the sockets in there. Recommend the gun? Absolutely.

Answer:	Sounds like the spring is hanging up inside. Not sure if you registered with IR or not but I would think that's covered. Haven't had that problem with any other Ingersoll impacts though.

Question:	How easy is it to remove a socket? Do you have to press the pin, or can you just pull it off? The hog ring version doesn't seem to be available
Answer:	I honestly think the hog ring is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Detente is better. Not hard to use at all. It won't wear out. The hog ring will be good for about a year.
Question:	can you use the battery 20v max lithium ion 1.5ah with this tool
Answer:	Yes 20V is all that matters. You can use any 20V Dewalt battery with any 20V Dewalt tool. Still the amp rating directly determines how long the battery will last. So using 1.5AH battery will only drive half as many screws/bolts compared to a 3AH battery before the battery is dead but it will still work.
Question:	Amazon lists the torque at 300 ft lbs while the DeWalt site lists it at 400 ft lbs. Which is it
Answer:	I'm not going to bulls#!t anyone. I never used this product, BUT typically the max torque of Impact Wrenches is in reverse. So maybe it's 400 ft.-lbs. in reverse and 300 ft.-lbs. foward? I don't know.

DIGIT DISPLAY TORQUE SETTING

The electronics of the impact wrench allow a torque selection of 80 to 340 Nm.The set torque is show in the 3-digit display A.

When the previously set torque is reached,the display will show A:,,END".

• Press the button B 〔+〕to increase the torque.The torque increases by 30 Nm with every activation.
• Press the button C 〔-〕to lower the torque.The torque is reduced by 30 Nm with every activation.
• To set the torque back to 0(shows 888),pressthe buttons B 〔+〕and C 〔-〕at same time(RESET).

NOTICE:The following displays are possible:888-＞080-＞110-＞...

The display is increased in steps of 30 and goes to 340 N.m.
