Answer:	I doubt it. The wavelength of the sensor is 8-14 microns and plexiglass has very low transmittance beyond about 3 microns (according to this spec sheet http://www.plexiglas.com/export/sites/plexiglas/.content/medias/downloads/sheet-docs/plexiglas-general-information-and-physical-properties.pdf). Whether or not the material your dryer door is made of is the same is another matter. If the transmittance is close to zero then you will essentially be measuring the temperature of the outside of the door.

Answer:	If you cut the meat in half you might be able to take the surface temperature of the meat, but then your meat is going to be cut in half and that's not real appetizing. Blue cheese is very appealing, maybe some bacon.

Answer:	I do not have patellar tendon weakness. So I can't answer from experience. But the compression aspect is the entirety of the knee. I can imagine it would offer support for your patella depending on what your issue is. If it's laxity of the tendons or if you have a tear already. Your patella aids in the biomechanics of leg extension. So if you have a tear I don't believe this brace would be enough.

Answer:	The farther away you get the wider the bigger the area measured. There is a diagram on the side of the machine that shows this. I took some ice cube and a frozen dinner out of the freezer. The ice cubes were so small the temperature readind was two degrees higher between one inch and one foot. The frozen dinner box (6 inches by 8 inches)read the same for about a yard measured in the middle of the box. Closer to the edge it changed temperature faster.I opened the freezer and measured right in the middle so I only what was in the freezerAt about four feet the temperature reading was up two degrees. It must be partly measuring the air it passes through. I hope that helps.
