Answer:	I've used this grinder to cut 1/2 in Hardiebacker when doing bathroom remodels. I use a cutoff/wafer wheel which isn't ideal for this use but it works. In my opinion it had adequate power but the fully charged battery lasted roughly 20 mins of almost continuous use (I cut about 4 sheets for a tub surround). So, to answer your question, I know it will cut concrete with a diamond wheel, but if I needed to use it continuously for an extended period of time I'd go with something corded which is the case with most battery powered saws/grinders. Answer:	Any DeWalt or compatible 20v Li-Ion battery will work. They range from less than 2 Ah all the way up to 6 Ah. They'll all work the same, but the smaller the battery Ah capacity the less time they'll power the tool before recharging.I urge people to consider buying only the bare tool and buying generic DeWalt-compatible batteries. The difference today between the bare tool and the bundle that includes two 5.0 Ah batteries is $150. For $75 or less you can buy two generic DeWalt-compatible (IMPORTANT! all brands are keyed differently and are NOT interchangeable) 5.0 Ah batteries that work just fine. I have purchased 14 DeWalt or compatible 20v Li-Ion batteries thus far. All are working fine, and only two are DeWalt brand. The rest are Enegitech and some other no-name brands. I received one generic that had a problem, and the problem was trivial: the three "fuel gauge" lights would intermittently stay on permanently after the test button was pushed. The vendor immediately offered to refund half my money (I purchased them as a pair), or replace the battery. We decided to take the money and see how much of a problem it was for the lights to stay on. Wouldn't you know it. The problem soon went away! Sticky switch, I guess. But that's the only issue I've had, and we've used these A LOT. For $150, you can either buy these two DeWalt brand batteries or *4* generics. Trust me, if my experience is any indication, you'll be way happier to either spend half as much money for the same thing, or the same amount for twice as many batteries. Note: a 5.0 Ah battery lasts a LONG time. I don't have a grinder, so I don't know how long it'll run, but I have five brushless impact drivers, a hammer drill, a circular saw, a "Sawsall", and a portable shop vac, all DeWalt brand 20v Li-Ion tools. They all run GREAT on the generics. DeWalt doesn't manufacture batteries. They no doubt buy their batteries from the same Chinese factories that produce the generics. The only thing that's different is the cases and the way the slots are keyed so you can't use Black and Decker, Milwaukee, Bosch, etc. batteries interchangeably. The actual Li-Ion cells inside are all the same.

The item was fine as a basic grinder, but if you wanted stuff to add Bosch discontinued support. I bought the Bosch 1810PS 4-1/2-Inch Paddle Switch Grinder with Lock-On Switch instead which had the add on goodies available. I'm really grateful to Amazon because Bosch could care less that they advertized stuff that wasn't any longer available. Many of their tools are excellent, but some are lemons, and the company doesn't honor its claims.Good luck

Helpful Tips!

1.We recommend is to leave the attachment head a little loose while grinding. If you tighten the head too much it won’t allow the shaft to move freely which to me puts stress on your mixer motor.

2. In order for an easy and stress free grinding session, you must make sure your meat is very cold or even partially frozen AND your attachments are very cold as well. We recommend putting the grinder and meat in the freezer for 30 minutes before you use it to keep the meat from heating up on the grinding prices.

No matter what you do Don’t ever dishwash meat grinders always hand wash them. And make sure to get it all the way dry before storing it will prolong the life of the item.
