Answer:	The one I received was an OEM. I had ordered from another one showing the OEM picture, but received a different one that did not work with my OEM charger. The one I purchased from Industrial Tools through Amazon was the OEM battery. Good luck.

Answer:	The date code is printed in ink on the top of the battery. (Remove from tool to see it) It consists of the year, a space and then the month dash another number that some think is country of manufacture. However, I have two batteries with same ending number, and one was manufactured in Korea while the other was Malaysia. So, not exactly sure how to interpret the last two digits. Here's an example of a battery date code. 2019 33-49 Also, there are other number before and after, which might be time code, shift, lot number or such.

Answer:	The 1250DEVS is a BEAST of a sander. I've used it specifically for end grain cutting boards and on "turbo" mode I was shocked at how well it worked. Better than a belt sander. Some 40 and 60 grit discs (good ones, zinc stearate coated zirconia alumina or ceramic alumina) will make short work of your job. Follow up with some regular aluminum oxide discs on RO mode and get a great finish. I'd use the 1250DEVS for end grain boards over the ROS65VC.

Answer:	No. I recently attempted to use the Client Mode (Cat5 PC -> TPLink / Wireless TPLink -> Hotel Wi-Fi) without success. The hotel tech support attempted to assist quite thoroughly. The TP-LINK TL-WR702N Client Mode needs to connect to a WAP that uses UN/PW for authentication. It does not support 802.1X protocol (open insecure WAP followed by a webpage where you provide your information and/or click the "agree" button) in order to receive an IP (nor does the product information claim that it can). This means it won't connect at malls, airports, coffee houses and some brands of residential Wi-Fi when they use the same connection method. Other reviewers write TPLink has another product that does. It DOES connect excellently to WEP, WPA, WPA2 Wi-Fi WAPs that use UN & PW including most residential and cellphone hot-spot. So in my recent hotel experience, I hot-spotted my iPhone 5S for my connection. If this were my review, I give it 5 stars for design, performance and ease of use (as designed).

Answer:	The "orbital" refers to the circular motion of the blade. It moves up and down (as if on a y-axis) and also forward and backward (as if on the x-axis). The forward/backward motion is very slight compared to the up/down motion. It makes the cut more aggressive and a lot faster. Breaking down 2x4's goes very quickly. However, you can set the orbital motion from min to max, so this is very adjustable and this saw can still make very accurate cuts with the right blades.

Answer:	The "deflector plate" is actually a gravity operated "heel" that simply drops down and hooks on the material you are pushing. There's considerable grip in the rubber pad portion of the push block, but when you reach the end of a board or similar, the heel drops down and catches on the edge of wood, permitting easy/secure push through of the wood.

Answer:	I don't have the Bench Dogs push pad but I do own 2 of these Gripper pads as well as several "plain" push pads. In my experience, the GRR-Rip Block is different in 2 ways. The Gripper has 4 "heel hooks" that hang over the edge of your work piece to get a better push on the end stock. And it can also be used on its edge (it have been formed with a 90 degree angle) so you can push stock on a router table or to stabilize wood while re-sawing on a band saw (and this is where those hooks really help). But the price of the Gripper is 2-1/2 times the Bench Dog, so the question would be: is the GRR-Rip Blockr twice as good as the Bench Dog. And I would probably say no to that. But the ultimate decision is of course yours. Hope this helped.

It has been years since I had a tub that I liked enough to take a tub in so it’s been at least 3-4 years since I last had some. I am not sure whether there is a seller on Amazon who sells any, but I have gotten some from the brick and mortar I used to go to before I became a little more internet savvy. That said, a salesperson in their store once told me that you can use the shower wash/gel as a bubble bath soap in the tub. You just use a little more because it is a thinner product. Hope this helps someone!! My favorite soap product ever, which I use everywhere I need a soap.

Question:	Is the current model that is shipping type 1 or type 20. If you look up the parts diagram the type 20 has a different slide mechanism part number
Answer:	I bought a new one today from a lumberyard and it is a Type 1. (says right on the sticker on the motor) Not sure if that means the slide mechanism is better or worse than the Type 20. I would assume it was made in 2014 because there is a "Dewalt use only" tag on the box which starts with 2014. Not sure if a "fresher" saw is a Type 20

Answer:	mmToolparts actually sells a kit (3 proprietary DeWalt parts + their wiring harness) for less than $70. They have videos on their website that show how to install the parts on DW716, DWS779, and DWS782 saws. You will need some additional tools (torx screw drivers or torx bits, wire strippers/cutter/crimper) and somewhat mechanically inclined. Just google "DWS779 xps light kit" and they should be the top result. This might be an easier option versus going to a DeWalt service center in the post pandemic world.

Answer:	It does not come with any laser for guidance. You may find my answer a bit crude, I've been using miter saws for many years and the best guiding system I found to work is my/your eyes. Having lasers or no lasers you still need to use your eyes to get the work piece spot on near the cutoff point. Hope this helps!

Answer:	You can add the LED light to this saw. Not a laser but a shadow light that show exactly where the saw blade will cut. I just did it last night. Parts can be had for about $70. This basically turns it into a model 780 which is much more expensive. Pretty simple to add.

Question:	can it drill 1/4 holes into plastic
Answer:	----Its not the drill, It's the BIT ----Hanson makes particular bits for drilling plastic, with any drill regardless of voltage, and theyre available most any good hardware store or Tap Plastics. They have a particularly pointed tip, so don't ever attempt to ever use them on wood or metal, as doing so would render it crapp for plastic use from then on. I have 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 in my arsenal, and they pretty much cover any plastic, ABS, PVC, and especially Plexi-Glas projects I encounter. Yeah, they're a buck or two higher than regular bits, but they also wont crack your pretty plexi-glas project all to hell like a standard twist drill bit will.

Answer:	Yes, it has a light. But it's worse than useless. It lights the area nearby, but casts a shadow on the spot you are drilling. The glare makes it actually harder to see what you're doing.

Answer:	I had an oportunity to use the 18V when I installed the railings on my father in laws staircase. I worked absolutely great but I had to keep switching batteries and kept one on the charger. He got it last Christmas. I told myself then the Dewalt was far superior to the two brands of portable drills I was using that I was going to get a Dewalt for myself. Honestly, when I ordered the 20V I assumed it was the same as my father in law had but his was the 18V. I would be happy with either but the 20V I have is smaller in size and lighter than the 18V that he has. Plus the 20V lithium batteries last a long long time before you have to recharge but then again replacement batteries are expensive. I just used the 20V to build my garage and so far I've only swithed batteries 5 times and that includes all the siding, drywall, wire routing. BTW I use the new star bit screws for everything they are far superior to phillips and I have given all my boxes of phillips screws away; along with my two "other brand" cordless drills.

Question:	Can this drive screws or is it only a drill
Answer:	With this drill having a little over 100 in/lbs of torque, when competitors are offering over 1000 in/lbs, I wouldn't trust this to drive anything but the smallest screws.

Answer:	the kit I received did have a drill charger. I am very happy with this purchase.
Question:	the weight of the drill with the battery charged is the same with the dead battery
Answer:	It would not weigh any differently, although it's mass would be lower due to the number of electrons available, which would be around .00000000000000012 g. So if you had 814,000,000,000 it would would have 1 gram of mass less. Which if you were buying trillions of them, you could save several grams as far as shipping weight goes, although it would take 600 million cargo ships to carry that amount, so, unsure if the 1 gram gain would be very noticeable, especially since it would take around 30 billion (each semitrailer carrying 13,567 cartons, which might be a stretch) semitrailer containers (the 24' ones.) The ONLY problem is, that if they even produced, say 1000 drill sets/minute (which also seems a bit high) it would take 1,548,000,000 years to make that many sets. But, if you think that the amount of saved weight is worth it, buy 814,000,000,000,000 drills, use them, box them back up without adding any mass of any sort (including skin cells, which weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 170,000x greater than the mass of an electron) and ship them, you would have shipped the items back with 1g less mass overall. We also didn't take into account elevation, which just by changing the amount of air in 814,000,000,000,000 boxes would be a "weight" difference in the millions of tonnes.
