With two rotating chucks, you can reserve one bit for the pilot hole and one for driving the fastener and just instantly switch between the two—no fumbling for bits in your pocket or dropping them down a ladder. Just squeeze the red dual chuck release button and press the head against your arm or leg to switch it over. Easy-peasy. User questions & answers
Question: | How much power does this have compared to dewalt or bosch and what is the typical battery life under heavy use |
Answer: | This model is rated at 310 in-lbs of torque at 400 rpm. Dewalt's DCD995/990 is rated at 708 in-lbs at 450 rpm (faster and stronger). The Dewalt is also capable of up to 2000 rpm vs. the WORX's 1500 rpm. However, Dewalt's $100 model (DCD771) is less than half as powerful as their flagship, but still slightly more powerful than the WORX. Having said that, the WORX should be more than powerful enough to do most things around the house (if that's what you're using it for). 310 in-lbs is a lot of torque. You only need around 75 in-lb to drive deck screws. But these days I've discovered than an impact driver is far better at driving screws because you don't have to put nearly as much pressure on the head of the screw. Impact drivers are far more powerful (1850 in-lbs). |
Question: | Is the drill strong enough to use with a Kreg pockethole jig? The concept is fine but there are questions...drill size, strength |
Answer: | Used it with my Kreg setup with no problem, unit is easy to handle and more then powerful enough |
Question: | Specs say bare tool; what does that mean |
Answer: | Usually "bare tool" is specified when you order without batteries or charger and use with another WORX tool that uses the same battery. I do not believe this tool is available that way as of yet. My tool came with two batteries, a charger and several 1/4" drive bits. |
Question: | Does the switch driver come with a battery charger and extra battery |
Answer: | Mine came with 2 batteries. |

Product description
Drill a pilot hole, switch, and drive in the fastener, then do it again, and again, without ever switching out a bit. The Switchdriver is a two-headed drill/driver that gives you instant access to your two favorite bits at all times. You don’t need two separate drills lying around. And you don’t need to fumble with bits anymore. You can just rotate the head to the next bit when you have the Worx 20V Power Share Switchdriver 2-in-1. Plus, it’s packed with more features: 12 torque control settings let you select the perfect amount of torque for the job at hand, up to a max of 265 in-lbs. The 2-speed control enables you to go from 0-400 revs/min or 0-1500 revs/min. The max drilling capacity is 3/8” in steel and 1-3/16” for wood. And you can even rotate the head with one hand while you keep your other hand on the project. (You just squeeze the red dual chuck release button and use your thigh or forearm to push over the head to the next bit.) This Switchdriver doesn’t come with a battery, but that’s by design. It makes this model less-expensive because if you already have a Power Share battery or two at home, you don’t need to pay more for a tool with another battery. Power Share batteries are interchangeable with every tool on the platform.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the Drill and battery fit inside the case with the drill bits? Or is the case just for the drill bits |

The SD Driver with Screw Holder is for professionals or DIY-ers that have a lot of work to get done. Using a manual screwdriver can strain your hands pretty quickly, and everyone drops fasteners and bits on the ground. Eliminate those two problems with this semi-automatic driver and bit changer—with a screw holder built right in. You just press the orange button on the tip to get the jaws to accept the screw. Then with just one hand, you can maneuver into tight spaces and drill it home. The jaws work when you need to back screws out, too. Your six favorite bits are stored onboard, and you cycle between them by shifting the top piece back towards you. With 0-230 revs/min of no-load speed, you’ll have enough torque to handle the most common screwdriver applications. And the LED headlamp lets you see what you’re doing, even in the dark. The internal 4V battery will hold a charge for up to 18 months, so you can toss the SD Driver on a shelf and it’ll be ready to go the next time you pick it up. A charger comes with it, as does the reloadable bit cartridge, which is stocked with 6 of the most common bits already. Save your hands and stop losing bits and fasteners. Get screws into places you never thought possible before. The SD Driver with Screw Holder is a solution to a couple of problems that come with using a regular screwdriver. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about those anymore.
- [QUICK DRAW BIT CHANGE] This SemiAutomatic Driver switches between 6 bits with a slide-action changer. Cycle from Phillips to flathead and four more of your favorite bits with just the flick of the thumb
- [HOLDS A CHARGE FOR MONTHS] Up to 18 months, as a matter of fact. The efficient 4v MaxLithium battery gives you the driving power you need, and will still have a charge the next time, even if that’s months from now
- [SCREW HOLDER] This innovative attachment keeps the screw in place so you can use the SD Cordless Screwdriver with just one hand
- [NEVER LOSE A BIT] Store bits in the internal Rapid Reloadable Cartridge. No more fumbling in your pockets or watching a bit fall through a floorboard
- [DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX.] WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last
- [COMES WITH 6 BITS] The reloadable cartridge comes stocked with a PH1, PH2, SL4, SL6, SQ1, and SQ2. Everything you need to get driving
- [COMES WITH CHARGER] The battery is internal, so you just connect the included charger when you need to top it up
- [ONLY 1.1 LBS] At that weight you can drive screws all day without hand strain. And that makes it maneuverable, too. Hold it up high and get into tough places without fatigue

Product features
Powerful 4V Max Lithium Battery
The integrated on-board battery holds a charge for 18 months and plugs right into AC when you need to recharge.
No More Dropped Screws
This screwdriver holds the screw in place for you, and you can operate it with just one hand to get into hard to reach places.
Slide Action Bit Change
Cycle between your favorite 6 bits by pumping the shaft. No more dropping bits on the ground or down the ladder and trying to find them.
A Better Version of the Screw Driver
We took all the bad things of the traditional screwdriver: dropped bits, needing two hands to drive a simple screw, having to supply the torque by hand—and designed a better tool. The ingenious screw holder allows for the driving and removal of screws with just one hand.
Light and Compact
Since you only need one hand to do the work, it is small enough to fit into tight spaces and you can reach into places you never could if you needed to get both hands in there. And the on-board LED headlamp lets you see what you’re doing in dark spaces.
Product description
There’s nothing more satisfying than grabbing your trusted tool and building or fixing something – making it better – using your own two hands and ingenuity. Well, WORX has introduced a new device that’s sure to be on your favorites list when it comes to tackling projects around the house. It’s the Ai Drill – the first cordless drill with Advanced Intelligence. No other power drill in the marketplace has its combination of features and functions. The new WORX Ai Drill adds a whole new dimension to cordless power drill convenience with its exclusive BitLock, Safe Drive and Pulse Assist features.
Advanced Intelligence can be defined as a machine’s capability to imitate intelligent human behavior, and that’s just what WORX engineers had in mind when they developed the Ai Drill. It’s almost intuitive and so easy to use that first-time users and DIYers will breeze through home and craft projects.
The Ai Drill has three drive modes including drill, Safe Drive and Pulse Assist, which are activated by a switch on the top of the drill. BitLock is one of the key features of the WORX Ai Drill. Load a drill or driver bit into the tool’s chuck, and its motorized jaws will self-center and tighten the bit, and do it with 30 percent more bit-holding torque than tightening the bit manually.
The motorized chuck also reverses to release the bit when it‘s time to swap bits or for storage. To engage BitLock, simply turn and hold the switch ring until the chuck’s jaws have moved to the desired position.
With Safe Drive, the Ai Drill stops screws automatically, delivering the amount of torque necessary to drive the screw in almost any material, and then backs off once the screw head is flush to the surface. Most cordless drills have clutch settings, and the user selects the setting based on the material in which they’re drilling holes or driving screws. The WORX Ai Drill has no clutch settings, instead relying entirely on the tool’s internal electronics to safely drill holes, drive and remove screws, regardless of the work material. Pulse Assist instructs the Ai Drill to apply just enough bit rotation to drive the screw snug to the surface without overtightening or stripping the screw head. This helpful feature also works in reverse to back out stubborn screws without damaging the screw head.
The 3.1 lb. (with battery) WORX Ai Drill is powered by a 20V MAXLithium 1.5 Ah battery. The battery is compatible with other WORX 20V battery packs used in DIY and lawn and garden tools and is part of WORX 20V Power Share program. The MAXLithium battery recharges to full capacity in about five hours. The drill also features a low battery capacity indicator. When the battery’s power is running low, the drill’s LED light flashes.
The single speed (0-800, no-load) drill has a 3/8” chuck. The drill is capable of handling a variety of drilling and driving jobs with 180 in./lbs. of torque. An LED light illuminates the work area and is activated by the trigger. The tool’s drilling capacity is 1” in wood and 3/8” in mild steel.
- Compact smart drill with Advanced Intelligence (Ai) Technology makes every project easier – less than 3 lbs. means reduced fatigue and convenient storage
- Automated BITLOCK allows one-hand operation while providing 30% more holding force than typical manual chuck
- SAFE DRIVE stops driven screw flush with work surface, prevents damage to work and screw
- PULSE ASSIST prevents bit from slipping when drilling on hard surfaces and when driving or removing soft or worn screws
- Share battery across multiple WORX tools within the 20V Power Share platform

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these brushless |
Answer: | I purchased a 2 pack because it was less expensive (a GOOD deal) on May 20th of this year. It failed last week. Does not charge at all. I have used the 2nd one 3 times and is OK. So I guess I'm good until for 2 months! I feel cheated. We can't return these. It was originally a really tight fit (P102) on my Ryobi leaf blower. |
- Includes 20V Li-ion batteries for extended run time
- 2-speed motor to handle every common drilling application
- Ergonomic form factor makes this drill easy to use in one hand
- Worxsaw was designed to cut wood. Especially 1” stock lumber
- Safety retractable base and lever avoids the risk of an exposed blade
User questions & answers
Question: | Is this blade for wood only or is it a multi-material blade |
Answer: | Actually yes, as it is a wheel driver (revolver), and does not have a magazine, but a cylinder, the capacity of which is only 6. This design obviously prevents the capacity from differing. It is partially orange, including the tip area, which helps it comply with the "scary look " clause, though to be safe, you should probably just opt for a non assault or hunting screwdriver, one wrist turn to one screw turn, because of course: NOBODY NEED THIS MUCH SCREWING POWER. Real talk though, while it's looks are debatably enough to get you Copsecuted (in the dark), the sound it when racking it or loading bits almost certainly is. |
Question: | How come the video on this product shows that the circular worxsaw has a laser guide but I can't see that on the description |
Answer: | I use my batteries - well, used- I'm returning them - for my small leaf blower. The battery dies immediately after FIVE MINUTES. |
Question: | Does it work with 220 volts |
Answer: | My black Ryobi charger works fine for charging the Masione batteries. |
Question: | Is there a dust extraction included |
Answer: | I should |
- Variable cutting speeds of 0-2600/min to handle different materials
- Change the jigsaw blade without a tool
- The drill is compact, lightweight, very easy to control
- Drill and drive with enough power to handle any common application
- Flexible Light goes 15 hours on 1 rechargeable WORX 20V battery
User questions & answers
Question: | Who can tell me the operation temperature of this light |
Answer: | Thank you for your question. The drill is not a hammer. |
Question: | Is this a 1/2 or 1/4 drill head |
Answer: | its not powerful enough to warrant have multiple speeds (only 4v) |
Question: | Is drill wx958l 1/2 or |
Answer: | Sorry Junko, the screw holder is EASILY detachable. Just press the orange lever and pull straight down. A long bit will keep the screw holder open and defeat it's purpose however..... The bit cylinder is also easily removable to rearrange the order of the bits or customize your selection.... |
Question: | Which kind of blade does this saw take |
Answer: | YES.... You can use any 1/4" Hex shank drill bit or driver extension. I even used a 6 " long Phillips bit for long reach jobs. Just remove one of the seldom used bits, (Square perhaps) and load an empty cartridge. Then put the hex shank drill or driver bit in the tool and go to work. There is a magnet to hold the item in.. although it's not terribly strong. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it nsf certified |
Answer: | I am not 100% sure, they do not have external access to change brushes so I would imagine they are brushless. I am a motorcyclist and work on my own bike. That is what this is intended to be used for. The circular saw is a bonus and I havent used it yet. The drill, light and impact driver work amazing though. The impact wrench is more than I need. It is a great set and even came with a battery, great deal. |
Question: | Does B&D battery works with this drill |
