You place a small piece of wood called a biscuit with some glue into this slot and into the matching slot in another board edge and glue the two boards together. The biscuit helps hold the joint together.If he meant a jointer, this machine is used to make the edge and usually one side of a board straight and flat. You can use other machines for the other edge and side once you have a straight a flat edge and side to reference them against.This joiner is a lot cheaper than a jointer. Anyone who does much woodworking needs or already has a jointer. You can see what one looks like by searching on Amazon and you can see if he has one in his shop. They look a lot alike. Answer:	the arbor is pretty much standard. The brades are either 4 or 4.5 dia. You can get them from any number of catalogs. I get the blade with the most number of teeth. Freud and Yenryu are good brands. Just look for biscuit joiner blade and you can't go wrong.

Answer:	The saw can easily cut the full width of a 12" board when making a 90 degree straight or bevel cut. Angle cuts will reduce the maximum span of the cut.

Answer:	Pretty sure that "thewoodwhisperer" has a powermatic jointer and he does an entire video on how to make microadjustments to achieve coplanner results on his. He points out that the process of getting all points (front, back side to side on both indeed and outfeed)coplaner can take several hours but, once level, it should remain level for a while before needing to check it again. Good luck

Answer:	you would be better off buying the rolling stand.
Question:	What does the plug look like on this machine? I'm shopping for 240v plugs and there are a few different types
Answer:	Even though this is years late im going to leave this advice. Standardize all of your power receptacles in your shop! Use one type for 240 and one type for 110. Make the decision early on if it needs to be a 3 or 4 prong for the 240, and don't look back. if a tool comes with a different plug, cut it off and replace it with your standard, then everything in your shop will work in any outlet, and you only need one type of extension cord! Following this advice will save you lots of screwing around and make chaining out a tool or moving a tool a breeze!

Answer:	A 3/4" top should have no problem using the largest #20 biscuit I like to space them 6-8 inches apart

Answer:	It cuts slots for biscuits, that's about the best I can say for it. None of the gauges are accurate, not even the mark in the center( at least an 1/8-1/4" off). The height gauge is adjustable, meaning for the thickness of the board, but I adjusted it as far as it would go and still it is off, so I just use practice boards and a ruler to center slot. And my last complaint is that for the 0 biscuits it does not cut deep enough, has adjustment for that as well but it didn't seem to help much so I just made the slot wider. Seriously thought about checking with Amazon about returning, but I won't use it enough to spend the extra $100 for something that should be more accurate, and while it is very annoying, if you take a little extra time and patience it does the job.

Insert the hose adapter into the bag with the small end protruding from the spring clip opening. Loop the wire tie behind the spring clamp and tighten. Attach the protruding end of the Rockler adapter to the dust port.Using this fix, I have gone from 4 cuts and a clog to 20 cuts and no clogs on pine, poplar, and red oak.I offered this solution to Dewalt/Porter Cable and they showed no interest.
