Answer:	Your electric motor should be running around 3450 RPM. It will say it on a tag on the motor. Your pump should be running around 1050-1200 RPM depending on your pulley sizes.

Question:	Can i run a small hvlp gun with this? The gun runs around 7cfm at 29psi
Answer:	I read that one individual purchased the MAC700, which is the next one down in size. In cold weather, his compressor would not start, and had to be continually reset. He finally drained all of the oil out of the compressor, and replaced it with synthetic oil. After that, it started up and ran fine in cold weather. I understand others have stated that you are only supposed to use the factory advised oil, but under dire circumstances, it worked fine for this Gentleman. That may be because Makita builds air compressors that are practically indestructible.
Question:	Is the tank corrosion free
Answer:	Disregard comment from SAJITH MATHEW, as this compressor arrives with only enough oil for 1 one the initial fill-up! The enclosed manual will tell you the "weight" of oil to use. As for "brand", that's entirely up to you, but whatever you choose, be sure that that oil is for AIR COMPRESSORS, only!! After a bout 100 hrs of use, I just recently changed over to "Royal Purple 01513 Synfilm Recip 100 H Perf Synethetic Air Compressor" oil ava. on Amazon, as it performs better at lower temperatures, since I'm in Northern New Mexico where it can be below 30* even in April/May.
Question:	I'm using tekton 46135 3/8" id hose with milton s-212 1/4" npt m style connectors and the 2010a seems to leak air. anyone has similar issues
Answer:	The primary determiner, beyond motor size (HP rating), cylinder volume and piston mass that dictates how much current (Amps) is drawn by the compressor at any given moment, from startup with a empty tank to restart for recharging a pressure regulated tank, is a dynamic value that is a function of backpressure at the compressor output from the storage tank(s). The amount of power (watts), be it instantaneous or free running, is a function of Amps x Volts (110-120) = Watts, up to the maximum wattage rating of the compressor motor. As side note, the motor as it becomes hot from use, also losing some electrical efficiency as the internal winding resistance inside the motor increases with temperature, creating a slight increase in voltage drop across the windings, requiring the motor to draw more current. A person brashly accusing Makita of being "weaselly" (nouns transform into adjectives, not adverbs) should, at minimum, know the difference between power consumption and amps drawn, thus non weasels like question that in reality is seeking two separate answers. Answer:	tank cut off pressure is 200 psi.It comes back on when tank drops to 150 psi...so yes-it will fill the 20 incher.I would get a clip on chuck because it would take a few minutes.you can set the regulator to deliver 110 psi-so no worries of overinflation.

Answer:	Your guess is good as mine. I purchased this compressor in 2015. Called George in customer service. I was told to take the heads off and, I explained to George, there was so many foreign bodies of metal and crap. I have used the compressor to air tires and clean chain on bicycles. The tank would not hold air, motor never shut off. For the next 2 years, I provided hospice care to my mother and father in law plus I broke my back. My complaint about the possibility of working with George on getting it replaced fell on deaf ears because now the defective compressor is out of warranty. I'm going to be a reasonable person here, you know George, sometimes life is a priority over a defective product and worthless warranty. I now have a 120# paper weight.

Answer:	Yes it worked good with impact tools but the comp. would not start up with temp below 55 F. I even got a new one and it had the same problum so because of this I now have a porter cable. It does much better.

Answer:	No. It does come with one switch and the wiring harness has provisions for two additional switches and two solenoids at the compressor end of the harness. The instructions state that the solenoids and switches are part of the ARB locker kit(s). You can probably also buy switches and solenoids separately.

The compressor is mounted to a piece of 3/4" partical board (I still need to carpet it), which is mounted to some 1"x1"x1/8" angle steel, which I sandwich clamped onto my Garvin Wilderness interior rack in my 2015 Xterra which the legs were wrapped with a few wraps of "F4" or "self fusing tape" as found here on Amazon. The prevents damaging the finish on the legs, and provides another layer of vibration and noise dampening. Answer:	not good... completely different from the regular miracle noodles. according to the directions, you don't have to boil them, you can steep them in hot water. i tried this and they did not seem to get cooked. probably better off boiling them. these noodles are short and stiff, and after I prepared them according to the directions they remained somewhat hard/they did not fully soften. these noodles were a complete waste of money.

Answer:	Air direction does not matter so you can combine two compressors. The issue I had trying to do sandblasting with 1/4" connectors is going to be flow rate. Most 1/4" connectors are only passing around 32-40 CFM. Even with two good sized compressors I wasn't getting the air flow I needed. A holding tank near the blaster and 3/8" lines helped a lot.
Question:	Is there any power benefit for going 240v such as more CFM
Answer:	Do not use this with a pressure washer. This item, like all pneumatic equipment, is not rated for much more than a few hundred psi. Your pressure washer almost certainly goes higher than this.
