When I went back last week to get another kit for my girlfriend, I started having extreme difficulty with it. I returned it to the store thinking it was a manufacturer defect. When I got home with the new one, it had the exact same problem. No matter how hard I pulled on the extension, it just wouldn’t give. I had pulled so hard that the handle came off. I was able to see the back end of the extension but and noticed a significant difference between the one I bought a month ago and this one. Craftsman decided to silently change the shape of the back end of the extension bit and plopped a snap ring in the final groove of the extension. That is the reason it won’t come out. All you have to do is wrangle that thing out of there and “viola!”, it will work just like it’s supposed to again.
Question:	The extendable shank on the screwdriver will not loosen and I cannot move up extendable part up or down. I was able to do it before. Any suggestions

Answer:	The size of the tool is listed on the description, it is 4'' long about 3/4" wide and just under 1/2" thick. it can fit in very small places, you just do not have a lot of ratching effect if you put it in a very small space. I have used mine working on aircraft and it has been very handy for me.
