User questions & answers
Question: | Is the pinless adapter upgraded in this model |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | What’s the difference between this and the |
Answer: | The difference is toolless or tooled blade changes. That's the only difference I found in the 2 units. |
Question: | What blades are you all using |
Answer: | I use spiral blades which, unlike regular flat blades, you can cut by pushing and pulling your piece being cut. |
Question: | I am new to scroll saws so have to ask. Is it worth the $40 difference in price for the 3921 over the 3920 and why |
Answer: | this model(3921) replaces the 3920, they added a few features and the pinless clamps to the mix. the price difference is for the design changes and the extra pieces they add. 3921 is better than the 3920 when you count in the extra features. |
Question: | does it come with sand paper |
Answer: | Ours didn't. But just cut a full sheet in half and half again. Love how well it works. |
Question: | is it ok to use on an old desk? I am concerned about the circar pattern of this sander, I won't be able to follow the grain of the wood |
Answer: | It's a small orbit, about 1/16", like a vibration. For $30 give it a try. If you use fine paper on the last pass and move the sander in the directionof the grain, should be ok. I think it's agreat little tool. |
Question: | What about the cutted sections in the sandpaper |
Answer: | Hi, Put the sandpaper section on the sander. The sander came with a black square item that has spikes. Push the sander over the spikes and the holes in the sandpaper will appear. Also the holes are only needed if you want to collect the dust in the bag. I do not use the collection bag. |
Question: | Where do I find refills online for the 1/4 sheet |
Answer: | What is "Full Sized Sheet"? , I see 8 1/2 x 11 and 8 x 10. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How well would this do with cutting corrugated plastic a.k.a coroplast |
Answer: | Honestly probably pretty well. I use mine to cut everything from 1/8 inch plexiglass, to 2x4’s with out a problem. Not a bad little machine honestly. When cutting something such a 2x4 blades wear out pretty quick but with the thin stuff they last awhile. |
Question: | What is the actual size of the saw |
Answer: | 26-3/8" x 13" x 14-3/4" |
Question: | Have a new 3922 scroll saw. Upper and lower pinless blade holders wont pinch together to hold the blades. Wen are you going to back up your saw |
Answer: | You have to make sure they are the correct length and it does take some work getting them in properly. It too two people to load mine. |
Question: | what is the difference between the 3921 and |
Answer: | These two units are almost identical. The only differences are that the 3921 includes a flexible work light and a blade storage compartment on the side, while 3922 features a special side panel that folds open for easy clean up and blade changes. Also, the 3921 uses the two-direction adapter system for holding blades (better for pinned blades), while the 3922 uses a standard blade holding system (better for pinless blades). |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long are these blades, will they fit a delta scroll saw |
Answer: | 8.5 x 3.5 x 1 in . Almost all blades fit almost all scroll saws. |
Question: | Will these blades fit in an 18” porter cable scroll saw |
Answer: | Some porter cable saws accept both plain and pin end blades. Without knowing the model # I cannot say for sure, but I am guessing it will. |
Question: | Will these fit the Dewalt DW788 scroll saw |
Answer: | These are 5" plain end blades so they will fit . |
Question: | Are these pinned end blades |
Answer: | No they are not pinned. |
Question: | Does this saw come with a stand |
Answer: | NO! Even though Delta and DeWalt are very similar, The DeWalt stand has to be adapted to fit the Delta saw. Takes a few minutes. |
Question: | What is the 'thing' on left side? How easy to change blade, need a tool? Disappointed no light, any available |
Answer: | That black tube thing on the left is an adjustable hose that blows puffs of air (generated I think from the up and down motion of the upper arm) which will help keep your lines clear of sawdust. Changing blades is a snap, simply loosen the thumb / wing screw on the top arm and the lower holder and slide out the blade. As for the light, I make due with a shop lamp that I have hanging from the ceiling of my garage. You can check woodcraft or rockler for magnetic portable lamps that may stick to the saw somewhere - not sure if its magnetic everywhere, never tried |
Question: | The saw is great but I can not get the hold down to stay in place. I move the wood and it also moves. Any thoughts |
Answer: | I removed mine even though it held just fine as I found that it got in my way. This was after I'd gotten used to the saw and the forces involved. I haven't had an issue using it without the hold down, but you have to do the holding down. |
Question: | There's such a price difference, what's the main difference between this saw and the dewalt dw |
Answer: | Only difference is some of the outside sheet metal, the inner workings are the same. You are paying for the Dewalt name. They both used to owned by the same company. |

Question: | Can I cut 26 - 18 gauge copper sheet using the finest blade (28 teeth/inch |
Answer: | I'm sure you could. I wouldn't want to try to a lot of it, but small batches should be fine. I expect the worst that would happen would be copper build up in the teeth. |
Question: | Will these blades work on a 15" value craft scroll saw |
Answer: | The short answer is Yes, the size of stroke is what is important. The 15" is the throat size or how big the material is. The blades should be 5 inches. |
Question: | will it work on the skil |
Answer: | No, it will not. This blade is for scroll saw. No for Orbital Cut Jig Saw. Skil 4390 is a Cut Jig Saw, is't it ? |
