Question:	What width of boards will fit in this jig, and what is the max thickness of boards that can fit in it? Will it handle 4/4 stock
Answer:	Hi Derek, I have not seen a way to bevel the cut to match the door bevel. The jig mounts square to the door. I have had the same question myself early on. It seems to be ok though, because the lockset hardware doesn't bevel either, the plunger plates are square to the door and do not follow the door bevel. We have not had an issue with the 5 degree or so bevel on the door looking bad or functioning badly. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it contain the essential guide rings
Answer:	There is a mortise template for a 5/8" x 4-1/4" lockset included. The faceplate templates are for 7/8" or 1" wide faceplates. There is no template for 11/16" faceplate included with the kit. The Trend Lock website (www.trenddirectuk.com) lists other available templates.
Question:	Can you use it with the Bosch router or do you need special accessories
Answer:	Yes the template pivots to match the bevel Not real familiar with Baldwin products as I own a commercial door company and I have never seen a beveled faceplate it is the door that is beveled in my experience

Answer:	I don’t see that size listed. The closest to that size is 22.5mm x 152.5mm. Not sure if you are referring to the faceplate size or the actual lock body. This jig has the capability to be used with a deep plunging router to mill out lock-sets that fit deep into the door. There are templates that are used to deep cut for the lock body and other templates that are used to mortise out the face plate for such a lock set

Question:	Can it be used to cut a rabbeted drawer front? That is a drawer front with a lip on the sides to hide drawer slides
Answer:	It is EXACTLY the same as harbor freight. I know because i have one. I'm going to return it. It's doable , but it's cheap. I usually have no problem with cheap tools from harbor freight, but this design is just too sloppy.

Answer:	Yes, of course. The instructions are very difficult to understand, but complete. Take a lot of cheap scraps, the same thickness as the final piece, and start cutting. Take extensive notes .

Question:	I have a the pc dovetail jig 4212 that comes with the 43776pc, 1/2 inch shank. what bit is equivalent for a router that uses 1/8 shank
Answer:	Yes, as long as it fits the 1/4" (or 1/2" with sleeve) bits for the router it will work. To note, you might need a Collet tool (extension) if you are trying to plane a live-edge board flat, as the length of this bit is relatively short.
Question:	What size flute bit is used with this
Answer:	I'm no expert, but because of the bit diameter and the 1/4" shank I would keep the RPM down to 8 or 9 thousand. I was using it to surface maple/cherry end grain cutting board and took only about 1/16th inch cut. I have no idea how deep you might go with alder. If at all possible, go with a 1/2" shank.

Answer:	Metal skeleton with a plastic like material for the handle and blade storage compartment. It looks like plastic but has a different fell. I really like mine (I have 2). Well made and heavy duty. I haven't seen the thumb rest on other blades either and I like that. Your mileage may vary.

Question:	Which one to choose between this and 22-104 which is identical except the shank is longer
Answer:	If you are only cutting a dovetail where the Bevel is at the surface of your material or a little recessed, then the standard is fine. I had a large sliding dovetail where the bevel did not start till quit a bit deeper. I needed a longer shank in order to to accomplish this. Hope that helps
Question:	What size flute bit is used with this
Answer:	For a Porter Cable jig cutting through dovetails, you need a 13/32" straight bit (if that is what you mean by "flute bit). Look at my answer to your question about the Freud 22-113 for more details. I don't know about any other jigs that might use 7 degree bits.
Question:	what is the length of the shank
Answer:	From the Freud website I was able to find that 2-3/8 is the overall length and the carbide height is 5/8" - just subtract one from the other.
Question:	Is this along lasting carbide bit when used on hard wood
Answer:	So far I have used the bit to make 15 dovetailed drawers from Baltic birch plywood. This bit is much sharper, and cut much cleaner than the Porter Cable bit that comes with the dovetail jig. I don't know how long it will last, but from my experience with it and other Freud bits, it should last as long as any other top end carbide bit. I recommend it highly.

It would be like complaining because a knife didn't come with instructions on how to cut. This thing is a marker. It helps you planning the cuts. You have to know how dovetails work.
