They have nice protection, but hip armor will need to mold after a season or so. I wear these for riding in the NY Metro area between March-early May, late Sept through November, without feeling any chills. Question:	I am a 38x32 but it says for my waist size the inseam is 30, will i feel like i am wearing high waters
Answer:	It depends. Do you wear boots? Do you blouse your pant legs (tuck them in)? I am a 38x32 in jeans and bought the 2X riding pants. I blouse my pant legs. I removed the liner and wear over my jeans on cool/cold days. These are great for my purpose, but the 2X is a bit bulky. If I were wearing these as my only pants I would go to a smaller size.

Answer:	Please kindly note that 3D and 4D depending on how thick the padding is. The higher the number, the better padded the items are. The higher the number is, the more the padding is also shaped to the rider's anatomy, instead of just sewn in like a flat pillow. Hope this helps.

Answer:	No, this are not waterproof. I rode in low 50’s and it was comfortable but I don’t think this are thermal pants.
