9 best 95mm hole saws

A 95mm hole saw is a cutting tool used for drilling large holes in various materials, typically with the assistance of a power drill. These tools are commonly used in construction, woodworking, plumbing, and other trades where precise and large-diameter holes are required. Here's what you should know about 95mm hole saws:

  1. Size and Diameter: The "95mm" in a 95mm hole saw refers to the diameter of the hole it can cut. These hole saws are specifically designed for creating holes that are 95mm (about 3.74 inches) in diameter.

  2. Construction: Hole saws consist of a cylindrical metal housing with sharp teeth around the edge. The teeth are designed to cut through various materials, including wood, plastic, metal, and even masonry.

  3. Arbor Compatibility: To use a hole saw, you'll need an arbor, which is a tool that attaches the hole saw to your power drill. Make sure that your 95mm hole saw is compatible with the arbor you have or plan to purchase.

  4. Material Compatibility: Different hole saws are designed for specific materials. Be sure to select a hole saw that is suitable for the material you intend to cut. For example, there are hole saws for wood, metal, concrete, and more.

  5. Depth of Cut: Hole saws have a limited depth of cut, which is the maximum thickness of the material they can cut through. Ensure that the hole saw you choose can accommodate the thickness of the material you're working with.

  6. Pilot Bit: Some hole saws come with a built-in pilot bit, which helps to stabilize the saw during drilling and ensures a more accurate hole. Others may require you to purchase a separate pilot bit.

  7. Safety Considerations: When using a hole saw, it's important to wear appropriate safety gear, including safety glasses and hearing protection, as the cutting process can generate debris and noise.

  8. Applications: 95mm hole saws are commonly used in applications such as installing plumbing pipes, creating holes for electrical outlets, making holes for doorknobs and locks, and more. They are versatile tools suitable for various construction and renovation projects.

  9. Maintenance: To ensure the longevity of your hole saw, it's essential to clean it after each use and periodically sharpen or replace the teeth if they become dull.

  10. Price and Brand: Hole saws come in a range of prices, with higher-quality brands often offering better durability and performance. It's a good idea to invest in a reputable brand if you plan to use the tool frequently.

In summary, a 95mm hole saw is a specialized cutting tool designed to create large-diameter holes in various materials. When selecting one, consider its compatibility with your power drill, the material you'll be working with, and any additional accessories you may need for accurate and safe drilling.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this work on plastic
Answer: Unfortunately, my assortment of hole is at a job site, so I can't measure. I can say that they will go through 2 in. dimensional lumber with no problem. AND, depending on the material you are cutting, you could go in to the max depth, break out what's cut, and continue through to any depth to the limit of your extension drivers .. Hope this helps .. Russ Pratt, Webster, MA
Question: Is the arbor removable
Answer: Yes, the 2L fits the 3-3/4 hole saw
Question: What size shank is on this
Answer: 2.
Question: What size is the shank of this holesaw
Answer: I bet you could
Question: What is the cut depth
Answer: Never tried that before, it might depend on the wire gauge of the screen. I use this to cut holes in sheet metal for duct work. The sheet metal is usually 24 to 26 gauge. In my opinion if it is used on just a regular screen on a window, it might tear it before it cuts it. If it's a heavy gauge screen, it should work. Hope this helps. Thanks!
Question: Does this fit the 2L arbor
Answer: Bit wont go deep enough for that

User questions & answers

Question: What is the shank hole size on this hole saw? 1/2" or 5/8"? I bought it and when I measure it, it looks inbetween at 9/6" (which can't be right
Answer: It depends on how thick the brick is. It can only cut to the depth of the bit. Also no center drill bit so it's tricky to use
Question: This does not come with a bit, it is just the saw. What drill bit do I need to purchase to use this
Answer: This work great on porcelain tile that harder then plaster
Question: Can this be used to cut thru metal
Answer: This type of drill bit has no pilot. You can drill a hole without pilot, just need a little trick. How to use a hand drill to drill holes in the glass? Step 1. The drill position on the glass 30 degree, drilling a half-moon notch in the glass; Step 2. Slowly up the bit to 45 degrees, and then gently drill; Step 3. Slowly up the bit to 60 degrees, continue to drill; Step 4. Reached 90 degrees, drill through the glass finally Remember to add water coolant and drill slowly
Question: Does this require a mount with a center bit and if so what kind, type, and size
Answer: Yes, this would be the right choice. There is no mandrel, so you will need to make a guide for the drill out of a piece of plywood or lumber, drill a 50 mm hole in that and then place the lumber over the slate to guide the diamond hole saw.
