Question:	Will this bit work in a hand held power drill
Answer:	I suspect (but don't know) that the steel is 'tool steel' as these Forstner bits take an edge and keep it for many holes. I.e., IF they were not tool steel they would either heat up, be malleable (which they are not) or they would not retain their sharp edge. I doubt there are many drills made today that are not tool steel/carbide/titanium. FYI Yonico makes thousands of drills/mills/routers/etc. and is a very large manufacturer of cutting tools.

Answer:	I do not know. My 8 year old nephew would use the wheel to play my husband's Formula 1 racing game. But we didn't have any children's games to try it with.

Answer:	I tested mine just the other day; works fine with Windows 10 Pro x64 with the 5.02 version Vista x64 drivers. Windows 7/8/8.1 should be the same.

Question:	Does this bit really have a round shank? I would want a triangular or hex shank to lock into the drill better
Answer:	I don't know about the 1 inch bit, but I used the 3/4 inch bit and then to create an even deeper hole I used a 3/4 inch spade bit and found that the spade bit had difficulty in entering the hole (i.e. The spade was slightly wider). Hope this answers your question.Roberto

First though, I made a template out of oak, drilling through with two 2-18" holes for the handle recess. Then, I clamped the template to the doorframe to guide that large bit. Otherwise, it would have been a disaster. Used a regular electric drill on slow speed.

Answer:	I did not buy the 7 piece set. Rather, I purchased two individual bits: a 1 and 1/8 and a 1 and 1/2. Both were labeled Freud. Both are excellent bits.

Answer:	routerworld.com ships Diablo. They are not the same. Diablo sells for $7.97 at Home Depot and the Freud bit is $10.78 on amazon. For that reason routerworld ships Diablo, they call it an alternate.

Answer:	Yes it will, BUT you must have a good hold on the drill and have the work being drilled fastened down. This bit works excellent in a drill press where you can control the feed speed. The design of the bit makes it self feeding and it's hard to control with a hand drill, but can be done.

Question:	how long is this bit
Answer:	David, My experience is that they are pretty durable. The 5/8" bid got burned pretty badly while I was drilling a series of about 70 1" deep holes in cherry (infamous for burning). I tried to clean it up and sharpen it, but I'm afraid I had overheated it enough that the resharpening didn't hold up too well. However I consider that my fault for not letting it cool down between bores. As for country of manufacture, I just looked and none of them indicate anything. That almost certainly means they are not of German manufacture. However, I have to say that several of these bits have held up to some serious use over the past year and have stayed quite sharp. Resharpening wasn't that difficult, at least within the range of forstener bits. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, they are extremely sharp. They fit in the box pretty tight, use a pair of plyers or gloves so you don't cut yourself.
Question:	Would you recommend using these with an impact driller
Answer:	These are good...but not that good. These work best with a drill press, or a regular drill. There is no advantage to using an impact drill when using these. In fact, I am guessing that that will probably give varied results in the true hole size. I know that using standard drill bits with an impact driver results in holes being 1/32 larger than what the bit size indicates.

Answer:	The shank measures .374. Yes they will fit a 3/8 drill Chuck.

Answer:	Yes my roommate and I play it with it. It's very difficult with high sensitivity in my eyes anyhow. So I changed it to the lowest and it's a blast

Answer:	Know for a fact it works for the ps4 pro and I don't see why it wouldn't with xbox. The setup for the wheel for multiple platforms is pretty simple there's a usb port on the back side of the shifter plug the usb into the wheel and into either your ps4 controller or xbox controller without turning on the controller first. Preferably before even turning on the system I would hook up everything and turn on at the console. Then once it comes on just hit the home button on the wheel it's self and within a few seconds it should be acting as your controller. Hope this helps

Answer:	You could use them on plastic barrels, but you are better off with a hole saw to do that. These are designed to make flat bottom holes in boards to make trays for water glasses, etc.

Answer:	I'm not sure never worked with Douglas fur before but it cut mahogany and popular perfectly for me. Made nice smooth holes for my fishing rod rack I just built. The bits are very sharp. I didn't even have to use a drill press just my hand drill with a depth stop

Question:	Are the center spurs removable
Answer:	They will work in an electric or battery drill. As for an actual manual "hand-drill" I have not tried that and the results would not be as good. I have used these forstner bits for boring "Clean" holes in finished doors, drilling angled holes in stair rails for ballisters, etc. I also use a drill guide to maintain angles when I use these bits. They work well.
Question:	Can the Forster bit be used in place of the hole saws to drill out the holes for the door knob and latch holes
Answer:	Manufactured in China.
Question:	Do these work only with a drill press, or with a regular hand drill too
Answer:	Yes, choose the right speed on a drill press.
Question:	Made in USA
Answer:	Sure, it can. Contact your local high end machine shop and order one. They can custom make what ever size you need. A 40.6mm is not a standard size you would find from a commercial vendor. I have had custom bits made by a machine shop. They are not cheap.

Question:	Can I use this bit to drill through a cement veneer
Answer:	Don't know what you mean by cement veneer but this bit would cut thrugh something like Hardy Board. But it would dull very quickly...maybe you'd get 5 holes.
Question:	Does this cut a clean hole in hardwood or plywood? Fine woodworking or construction
Answer:	This would cut a clean hole in both plywood and hardwood, but if used for drilling plywood, the glue, knots and embedded grit in the material will dull the cutting edge quicker than if used on solid lumber. Forstner bits are best suited for cabinet work, whereas hole saws and spade bits are a better choice for construction because they are less expensive and cut more aggressively. Incidentally, Forstner bits work best when used in a drill press.
Question:	does this cut a 3" diameter flat bottom hole
Answer:	Yes, the bottom is flat but the diameter could be slightly larger than 3".
Question:	is it a 3/8" shank and 3-1/2" long, or 1/2" shank and 6-1/4"? the product bullets at the top of the page contradict the description below
Answer:	Do me a favor and let me know if you find any with a 1/2" × 6 1/4". Our manufacturer says they don't sell them anymore and the ones they do sell aren't any good with MDF 1 3/4 Doors. Thanx
