Answer:	It removes rust from every surface that I've tried. For clothes I use Whink Rust remover. it is sold here on Amazon. The rust will disappear upon contact with the rust stain on cloth.

Answer:	Any metal capable of rust will be prone to rust if exposed to humid environments. The simple solution is after cleaning with EvapoRust is painting it to protect it.

Answer:	With the evapo rust, you need to make sure there are no oils, grease, etc prior to being on the metal when you soak the evapo rust. Once you soak the evapo rust and the rust has been removed, the product has done its job. You do want to wash it off afterwards and dry it. To keep it from re rusting is another problem in of itself. We have a product called rust block that comes in either a trigger spray or aerosol can. Spray a layer of it on there and it will keep the object from re- rusting for up to a year

Removed as much loose rust as possible.Thoroughly wet it down w/metal blast, waited, and rinsed with water while metal blast was still wet. I let it dry completely before coating with rust bullet. I could see the transformation of the rust layer after metal blast. Seemed to convert the rust to a solid base. I believe this uses phosphoric acid, so likely the reason for thorough rinsing. I would think the rust bullet may not adhere well if any residual acid is left behind. If left to dry, maybe respray a bit and rinse while still wet.Overall, seemed to work pretty good. I used this combo on many rusted areas on the jeep. In some spots aluminum body filler was used followed by paint. So far holding up ok. Will tell better after the salty upstate NY winter. The key is getting to ALL the rust. Good luck.

Answer:	Cleaning the item down to rust only would likely get you the best results for removing the rust. As for your question, I do not know how much of the effectiveness would be reduced if the item is oily or greasy - I am guessing it would be reduced by the degree of oil and/or grease present.

Answer:	I do not know for sure if it can be applied on large parts. The directions says to "immerse" the part. I used it to clean the internal (water jacket) part of a Model A engine. I never did try it by applying to a part and letting the part set. It does take some time so you would have to keep the part wet all the time (probably at least a few hours) for it to work. For frame cleaning I used the POR-15 40701 Rust Remover. It worked pretty well on lightly rusted metal.

Answer:	Well, I bought it to touch up my deck chairs. The weather got cold and I have not had a chance to repaint them. I will do so in the spring. So that application is uncertain at present. However, since I had so much... My dishwasher racks had exposed metal where the rubber coating had broken down. I applied this stuff to those exposed areas, probably 2-3 months ago. I have not repainted or otherwise coated those areas. In the meantime, I have used the dishwasher multiple times (with that strong detergent!), and none of the areas I applied this stuff to has 1) lost its black color which was the result of the application, nor 2) begun to rust again. So, the coating seems very durable, even in the face of the adverse conditions in the dishwasher (water, heat, chemicals). YMMV

Answer:	Rust can re-surface within a two weeks if not painted, depending on temperature/humidity. The paint on the roof of my old van had all peeled away allowing rust to form. It was lightly sanded to remove loose rust, wiped clean with damp paper towels, and allowed to dry before applying Corroseal. Van then sat in my garage (in Michigan) for a couple weeks before there was time to paint it, and during that time a fine powdery rust formed over/through the Corroseal in a few areas. It was wiped down again with damp paper towels, allowed to dry for 1/2 hour, then paint was applied, (2-coats exterior latex acrylic enamel). The van has sat in the same spot for 2 months now without any change in the finish. I may have not applied enough Corroseal the first time around as I applied it in two thin coats about an hour apart using a 4"long x 1" diameter foam roller. Cutting-in was best done using a soft, better quality, paint brush. I am confident this rust issue will never return.

Answer:	I would not, it changes the character of rust and once brakes applied it will be scrubbed off. This in reference to where the pads run, it should help the other areas that the pads don't rub. Once applied you could paint the non rubbing surfaces to reduce rusting there. Hope this helps

Answer:	It will take some time for the chemical change to take place, at least several hours. Once that is done, the metal will have a black and/or white residue on it that you will have to sand or brush off. At this point you may want to spray it again, depending on how well the first spray worked. Once you are happy with how the metal looks, and once you have cleaned it up, then you can apply the paint. My application was on a cast iron handrail that had some rusted areas.

Question:	Can I use this in my car's radiator
Answer:	Brake rotors on what? If it's a car or truck then just go apply the brakes hard a few times or until the oxidation clears up. If it's really severe then you may have to replace the pads. If it's really, really corroded you may have to replace the rotors. If the rotors are on a bike or motorcycle and you're trying to make them look pretty - it will probably work. But remember, while Quick-Glo is a mild polish, it is also going to leave a protective (waxy) finish on the metal and this will wear off with the friction generated by braking. That's all I,ve got. Question:	How does this compare to evapo-rust? the wd costs about 20% more... is it worth the extra money
Answer:	Yes but ... it really depends on the thickness of the rust for one and I don't know if any paint or surface finish would stick to it when you're done. I did use it on some sixty year old, chrome plated rims off of a MotoLegara, Moto Guzzi as a final shot before I bought some new rims. It worked, took the rust down to the pitting on the metal and seemed to seal the finish with a wax coating. This little bike is more a less a parade / special even bike and no longer a daily rider. I really don't know about body surface rust however ...
Question:	How does this product compare to using distilled white vinegar
Answer:	Yes, it's a fine product.
Question:	Does it harm non-ferrous metals
Answer:	I can't find my jar of Naval Jelly to read the facts for sure, but I used it on my porcelain bathtub where it had rusted at a seam and it did a great job, but I watched it closely as I did it. I just read the recommendations on line for what NOT to use it on, and it says it is not to be used on Cement, Fiberglass, Chrome, Aluminum, Plastic or Marble. I hope that helps you. If you are at a hardware store, or even Walmart, take a look at a jar of it and see if it recommends that it be used on ceramic tile or porcelain. (Then come back to Amazon to buy it where you get the best buy. One jar did a whole patio table and four chairs for me last summer!).

Answer:	As a Ablebody Seaman (Unlimited, Any Waters) and US NAVY VET. I've probably busted more rust than 99.9% of anyone hear. While working on the TW Nelson (Mobile oil's Survey Vessel) we helped develop this stuff. Also aboard Supertankers for several oil Company's we got to try several different Brands of rust converter/reformer.. We brushed it. rolled it. sprayed it ( w/ air gun pick-up) and they all worked better than all previous methods.. and there were a bunch!!! In my opinion Corroseal was the Best of all!! I still buy it in quart & gallon sizes (when required as it goes a long way) DO NOT LET ANY OF THESE FREEZE!!! WATER BASED & WILL TURN INTO A ROCK. Talk about wasted $$$? Don't waste time & money on Rattle Cans as caps k-rap-out way before product does! U want to spray a large area? use air-sprayer w/ large orifice, more thin coats better than 1 thick. let dry. Just Bust off any Scale & Leave the rust. wash down, let dry then get after it! Just give up on acid & paste & all that k-rap.
