Question: | What is the best way to apply this to garage door tracks |
Answer: | 60 watts will work just fine, it will just not be able to put out glue as fast. Most high temp glue guns operate at a temperature around 380 degrees regardless of wattage. The wattage is what determines the rate at which the glue gun can melt the glue while it is being pumped out. A lower wattage glue gun will need more time to "catch up" once the melted glue in the heating chamber has been pushed out. |
Question: | Does this come with a straw applicator for pinpoint application |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the bottle available on its own without the contents? Or similar bottle for oil |
Answer: | I have used it near plastics as some has got on some plastic. I have not had any issue with it softening or pealing. But with any petroleum based product they can act like a solvent. But as for a product it is the best one out there and it prevents rust 100 x better that LPS and wd 40. You will love this stuff. Don't wipe it off and it does not dry. |
Question: | CRC website says not safe for plastics. Any issue with paint or plastics, like would be on a modern outboard motor |
Answer: | This is a lubricant; not so obvious why you'd put on tire rims ..... certainly not an intended purpose. |
Question: | Can this be used on auto tire rims |
Answer: | No, it is petroleum based. A few years back, Fine Woodworking Magazine did a test review on about 12 rest inhibitors. CRC 3-36 came out on top when tested on steel plates. I've been a woodworker for 48 years and use it on all my cast-iron machine tops. Depending on the weather here in California, I get about 3 months out of a light application before having to re-apply it. I apply it with a small of cloth at the end of the day. It seems to fill the micro pores of the iron. I wipe any excess in the morning. It makes my table tops slicker. It has never caused fish eye in any of my finishes. It is also a good lubricant. Hope that helps. |
Question: | Does this product contain any silicone |
Answer: | Yeah, I guess... |

Question: | does this work on cast iron |
Answer: | Its all opinion. But I am a 30 professional auto technician/shop owner and my opinion is KL or aerokroil is best. PB does great advertising. |
Question: | Why do so many more people seem to use and recommend pb blaster, compared to knock'er loose? is pb just hype or is kl actually better |
Answer: | I would say no but it is a nice bottle... Home depot sells a good spray bottle but 32oz i guess ur looking for 16? Amazon sells some empty ones for chemicals but ive never tried them. Good luck! |

User questions & answers
Question: | What aerosol propellant does this use? Is it mixed in with the IPA itself in the can |
Answer: | It's 99.9+% pure, but I don't know the nature of the remaining contaminants. I wouldn't tend to use it on articles for use on humans because it is an industry-oriented item, not a medically approved or reagent article. Just my thoughts ... |
Question: | Can this be used to clean surgical tools |
Answer: | I have used it a few times after get a little nick or scratch (cats) that draws a little blood. It is almost (99%) PURE isopropyl alcohol which is a germ killer. Think of it like a very pure form of the kind sold at the stores which are generally lower (~70%) as they are watered down. Before I had this, I had been using Zep Dynamo (circuit board cleaner, contains similar stuff, but used a different propellent) for my general cleaner. This stuff is really great. Very versatile, use it like you would any other germ killing cleaner, but the advantage with this is that it evaporates FAST! I have (generously) sprayed it on remotes, controllers, and cleaned surfaces with it. If my remote gets dirty or sticky, I just spray it real good so it starts dripping a bit (like you were hosing it off) then wipe any areas that were very dirty and lastly just give it a good shake off and it works fine, no need to remove any batteries or let it sit and dry. Works good on my TV screen too just spray it good onto a paper towel and you can clean without any streaks.Sticky/greasy hands? Use this to "hose" them off and you will feel much cleaner. NSF certified sanitary, meaning it is non toxic and very clean (alcohol kills germs). As for first aid, I would just be careful as the spray is pretty powerful. You may want to use a napkin or paper towel to apply. But small cuts or scrapes will be fine. Just an FYI... alcohol STINGS, and this will sting noticeably more than household alcohol (the 70% stuff) as it isn't watered down. But the sting goes away quickly. I have had this can for pretty long now and I still have plenty left. You get a LOT for your money. |
Question: | would this be safe for use with first aid |
Answer: | I'be been in the coatings industry for over 40 years so I should be able to help you with this.In general Isopropyl Alcohol is not recommended for cleaning the finish on your car. If you need a solvent to remove tar or other difficult to remove contaminates then use Mineral Spirits or VM & P Naptha.Never apply any solvent to your finish when the car is hot or in the sun. Use a cloth like a Microfiber Cloth and wipe the finish with a dry cloth to remove any residual solvent.I have used Isoproyl to clean very small areas before using touch up paint or to remove material that the mineral spirits would not remove. But it's not something I do frequently and I understand the risk. Isopropyl can dull the gloss and if that happens wait several hours and use a good car polish to restore gloss. In any case it is wise to do a small test in a door jamb before using any solvent to clean the paint on your car with a solvent. |
Question: | can i use it on my car? would it damage the paint or clear coat |
Answer: | The picture shows one item which in my book that is a single I ordered one item of knocker loose just try it one item |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this ok to use for meat grinding machines |
Answer: | This is a food grade oil Intended for food processing equipment. I could not guess about low temperature use. |
Question: | Want odorless penetrant for inside and outside automobile doors, but noticed a low temperature limit of 32 F. What happens in sub-freezing weather |
Answer: | Based upon can labeling, propellant appears to be "1,1-Difluoroethane" (?? R-152a) and it appears to be "mixed" in same chamber with the IPA. Labeling does not indicate IPA is anhydrous either. Suggest contacting manufacturer for specifics to your question, especially if considering use for a critical application, since contents (propellants and purities) can change from what my cans indicate. Question: | Can it be used for outer surface of boat motors |
Answer: | There are no flavors, sugars, or ingredients added for taste. We wanted to keep the product all-natural and totally pure. In fact, there really shouldn't be much of a taste at all.
