Answer:	The individual jaws are mounted in specific places on the chuck, The jaws and locations are numbered 1 through 4 to identify where each is to be mounted. Jaw #4 is also keyed.

Answer:	I’m not sure what you mean by reversible . The Chuck works well on a spigot, or recess very well. The jaws are beveled on the outside, which grab and lock on to the piece tightly. Jaws don’t have threads, thus leaving no marks in the recess.

Answer:	The jaws open 3” to grab project. They push out 3 1/4” for spigot attachment. Anything over that won’t work, unless you ordered larger jaws. I would email the company, and explain what you want to do. I use this chuck for turning wood.

Answer:	There is no set-screw of any kind to maintain a safe secure hold of the chuck to the lathe while running in reverse. I do not on mine and would not without something like that available.

Answer:	I’m not familiar with the mophorn lathe but the spindle size is the determining factor. This chuck will fit any lathe with a 1” spindle with 8 TPI threads.

Answer:	The chuck tightens like the Grizzly and Penn state chucks as well as some of the older nova chucks. The back ring turns like a big chuck key and is tightened with torsion bars (orange handled bars seen in picture) inserted into the holes positioned around the chuck body and back ring

Question:	How far out does the faceplate stand from the spindel. Want it for a harbor freight lathe but the motor sticks out, need 3 inch clearance
Answer:	Less than an inch. The faceplate is mounted directly back disk. It would not clear the motor on your lathe without a spindle extender. Check Amazon for a supplier. If not available try Penn State Ind or Best Wood Tools in Tennessee.

Longworth Chuck Type 2 - Self Centering Chuck used to finish bowl, plate, and platter bottoms

This is general information for all sizes of the Longworth Chuck Type 2 Basic configuration. The Longworth Chuck Type 2 uses two disks which, when rotated against each other, symmetrically expand or contract to hold your bowl exactly in the center so you can finish turning the tenon away. Use the Longworth Chuck Type 2 as the final step in turning your vessel.

The eight rubber bumpers are kind and gentle to your vessel, unlike Cole Jaws which use hard grippers and may leave marks in the vessel which will have to be sanded out later. You can use your Longworth chuck in compression mode (bumpers on the outside of the vessel as pictured above) or in expansion mode with the bumpers inside of the rim. If you are turning a bowl where the rim tilts inward, as in a calabash style bowl, it may be difficult to grasp the exterior.

Each of the two disks is cut with a CNC from 1/2" thick HDPE plastic which is an extremely durable type of plastic. It is the same material that milk cartons are made from. Your Longworth Type 2 Chuck will arrive with a heavy-duty steel faceplate already installed. It will be threaded 1-1/4" x 8 tpi for 16" and larger chucks, and 1x8 for 14" and smaller chucks. Complete instructions and a DVD are included with your Longworth Chuck Type 2.

To assure the proper clearance over the bed ways, the actual disk diameter is a bit smaller than the stated size. This allows the wingnuts on the back to clear the ways when rotating even at full maximum capacity.

The Type 2 designation indicates that this version of the Longworth Chuck is compatible with the optional doughnut rings set offered in the Longworth Chuck Type 2 Combo. Answer:	The 30th anniversary G3 is a dedicated 1” 8tpi chuck, same as the spindle on my delta 46-460 lathe. It doesn’t not accept the normal Nova threaded inserts since it is a dedicated type rather than insert type. Should also work on the harbor freight lathes as well as any o ther with a 1” 8tpi spindle. It also have a grub screw for lathes with reverse

Answer:	I have a Jet 1221VS and it works just fine. Be sure to check the TPI of the lathe headstock. The TPI of your chuck should match. Answer:	Probably not, and even if it did it is strongly recommended to never mix turning systems even if you can make them go together. When you have that wood spinning several hundred RPM in front of your face, you want products that are factory engineered to work together for safety's sake.

Answer:	They are, but you would need a set of the infinity to nova standard jaw adapters....they won't go right onto the infinity without those.
