Answer:	The app works with Android phones. However, the reviews on the play store are abysmal because features like Auto Unlock simply do not work. This is no longer a new product and it is clear that August is not devoting the necessary resources to fix this product. Android support should be marked with an asterisk as it is not full support.
Question:	Does it have a jig for 22mm x 240mm
Answer:	The docs say that it will work with a 3rd gen Apple TV. That's just not true---it doesn't. It does seem to work with the 4th Gen ATV, but you loose a lot of the reporting, etc, claimed by the Connect. That is, the ATV only tells you if the lock is open or closed. It doesn't tell you who opened it or when they opened it. The Connect isn't a viable solution, either. It doesn't really work at all. It connects poorly, and will actually control the lock remotely maybe 5% of the time so it's not a viable choice if you want to operate the lock remotely. So, practically speaking, given that none of the possible bridge devices actually work well enough to be useful, you cannot monitory away from home.

Answer:	If you are asking if this tool would work to build a "Timber Frame" constructed house. The answer is "NO" it is much to small. This tool only works on maybe 1"-2" thick lumber. It is made for table legs and things like that.

Answer:	It will work with the Bosch RA1166 Plunge Router Base if you add the RA1129 Bosch Quick Change Template Guide System which you can buy separately or as part of the RA1128 8-Piece Template Guide Set.
Question:	will it mortise cut door jambs for hinges too
Answer:	The base plate must be designed to take Porter-Cable bushings, sometimes called "standard bushings". If it doesn't then you can look for a "standard" baseplate, but you may need to drill some holes in the plate. Check with the router manufacturer. I think using a fixed base router is foolhardy to use on this jig.

Question:	What width of boards will fit in this jig, and what is the max thickness of boards that can fit in it? Will it handle 4/4 stock
Answer:	Hi Derek, I have not seen a way to bevel the cut to match the door bevel. The jig mounts square to the door. I have had the same question myself early on. It seems to be ok though, because the lockset hardware doesn't bevel either, the plunger plates are square to the door and do not follow the door bevel. We have not had an issue with the 5 degree or so bevel on the door looking bad or functioning badly. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it contain the essential guide rings
Answer:	There is a mortise template for a 5/8" x 4-1/4" lockset included. The faceplate templates are for 7/8" or 1" wide faceplates. There is no template for 11/16" faceplate included with the kit. The Trend Lock website (www.trenddirectuk.com) lists other available templates.
Question:	Can you use it with the Bosch router or do you need special accessories
Answer:	Yes the template pivots to match the bevel Not real familiar with Baldwin products as I own a commercial door company and I have never seen a beveled faceplate it is the door that is beveled in my experience

Answer:	I don’t see that size listed. The closest to that size is 22.5mm x 152.5mm. Not sure if you are referring to the faceplate size or the actual lock body. This jig has the capability to be used with a deep plunging router to mill out lock-sets that fit deep into the door. There are templates that are used to deep cut for the lock body and other templates that are used to mortise out the face plate for such a lock set

Will this work for Baldwin mortise locks

Answer:

If there's trim/molding/weather stripping in the Jamb already, you'll probably have some interference issues since the jig is significantly wider than the final mortise; but if that'd usually only happen if you're replacing a door, in which case you probably already have mortises anyway.If you're working with just the framing or with drywall installed and have a flat surface on the butt/strike sides of the frame then you should have no problem mortising the frame with this kit, it even comes with a jig piece for mortising the strike plate if memory serves (I think that's what the one second from the left in the lower row of the pic is for). It should work fine with the casing installed as well, just so long as the inner faces of the frame are clean when you do the mortising.

Question:	If I took this far enough over to the edge could I use this with a straight bit to create a joint edge
Answer:	Yes, but the router bits included are for making the various dovetail and mini dovetail joints. They do not include the 1/2" and 1/4" straight bits for making the box joints, but you should have those in your shop already anyway. One other important note on case you didn't read the manual, your router needs to be able to accept both 1/2" collet and 1/4" collet bits. The bits included for the normal dovetails are 1/2" shank. If your router is a fixed 1/4 collet you might be able to buy 1/4" shank bits and use them, but cutting 1/2" joints with a 1/4" shank might make sloppy joints due to bit wobble.
Question:	Why isn't the router secured to the sliding base.I could see it tipping over when pushed
Answer:	The durable steel frame with adjustable cams allows for 1-3/4” and 1-3/8” door settings. Unfortunately, It does not have a 1-1/4" setting.
Question:	My router doesn't have a base plate that I can thread a guide bushing into. Can I still use this
Answer:	Yes, the kit has a template for this standard size to route, roughly 1/8" deep, recess for the 1" x 2 1/4" with 1/4" radius faceplate. If your door does not already have the hole for the plunger, you will need another jig to drill this and to drill the hole for the door knob (one jig does both so they align square).
Question:	Will this work with a Bosch pony router
Answer:	No guide bushing is required. The included router bit has a ball bearing guide attached, that works with the template, to cut perfectly rounded corners.

Answer:	Depends which prep you need. We use it for schlage, yale and sergeant for the pocket only. If your looking for a mortise pocket lock the. Yes if your looking for a 161 prep then no.
Question:	Can these Templates be used for door jams
Answer:	Maximum width is 12 inches. Maximum thickness is 1 1/8 inches. Yes, it will handle 4/4 stock!
Question:	Can you manipulate one of the hinge jigs for the striker plate mortise
Answer:	Yes, it has the guide bushings for both the 1/4 in and 1/2 in. router bits which come with the jig. Make sure you have a router that has the same size hole in the base plate as the Porter-cable routers.
Question:	Will this work on a door that is 1 1/2" thick
Answer:	I bought the Bosch adapter kit and quick change collet - they both worked okay but using the Bosch base plate I had zero visibility trying to see what the router position was. A little shopping led to buying a “Powertec” model 71022 base plate that is a clear acrylic universal plate. The visibility is great and there is no need for the Bosch adapters - at $17.00 it is a superior solution for Bosch Router users — hope this helps,,

Answer:	I suppose you could if everything was locked down tight. I would suggest just using the router and a good straight edge... less chance of any wobble or issues

Answer:	Sorry for the late response --computer crashed and I just got it back.With the sliding base clamped onto the wood, the router is used like any free-hand routing. I have not problem with the router tipping since I have my hands controlling the router. Hope this helps.

Answer:	No, the bushing centers the router bid in the jig and that's what makes it accurate. What router do you have?

Answer:	It is not recommended to modify these templates. If you are in need of a strike plate, Milescraft offers two kits that include strike plate templates. Milescraft #1213 HingeMate300 and Milescraft #1220 HingeMate350.
Question:	I can't even begin to understand the product in the package!! how stupid
Answer:	I think it will work on the 1 3/8" setting. Just make sure to measure the distance between the edge of the hinge and the door stop. You may have to move the stop 1/8th of an inch. Good luck.
