Question:	Will this device be able to take a stereo signal, have it processed by a linux machine and then output the modified stereo signal to it's RCA outputs
Answer:	If the device is plugged into the linux machine via the USB cable, it will do this for you. With this hookup, it will produce a 2 way signal, even simultaneously, 1 going into the computer, 1 coming out from the computer. If need be, it’s even capable of looping an output signal back in, say to a recording app on your computer. Just make sure you flip the little black monitor switch to the off position to eliminate distortion, and the signal looping back in will be crystal clear and strong.
Question:	Do I need to buy a separate cable to use this product? I'm not really sure how the I/O system works. Can someone explain? Thanks
Answer:	Not sure of your intended use for this product.I bought the UCA222 because the earphone jack on my Dell laptop went bad. It worked really well for my needs, it has a USB plug that connects to the standard USB port on my laptop. Then I connect my earphones to a standard plug on the device. No other cable required for me.
Question:	Can you connect to a USB power supply and use the analog to S/PDIF output
Answer:	I don't know about the S/PDIF but I suspect it won't work very well. I tried using the analog in to headphone jack using a USB power supply and it sounded terrible. I thought it would be a way around having to use a computer and it didn't work. Once I plugged the UCA222 into a laptop instead of a power supply it sounded way better.
Question:	Can I connect 5 of these to get 10 independent audio output channels generated by the computer via usb
Answer:	There's nothing technically preventing you from connecting 5 of these to get 10 independent audio outputs. If your software supports it, your computer will just see them as 5 individual audio cards. The problem your likely to run into is your computer does have a limit on how many USB devices can function simultaneously (USB Bandwidth). One way around this problem is to use a Quad USB PCI Card, that has 4 USB port and each one in it's own controller. The next thing you will need to consider is how many PCI lanes you have (will determine how many USB controllers your PCI bus can support) Hope this helps.

Question:	It appears that phantom power gets switched on all 4 mic pres simultaneously. Can I use dynamic & condenser mics together without causing damage
Answer:	Because the one in the front is NOT powered. The rear inputs can power mics or active pickups, up to 48v. I run 9v batteries in all my active guitars, so they're already powered, so I just run all my guitars into the front input. If I'm recording my 4x12 cab, I use the XLR in the back with my SM57.
Question:	will this power a microphone that requires phantom power? sorry if this is a dumb question, im new to XLR microphones
Answer:	Your question has me curious. The data speed for this device will not get close to the rates requiring a cable with the thunderbolt 3 type throughout. The audio stream will get there just as fast with their stock cable and with a reasonably priced ($6-10) usb type c cable. The nicer cables are more about throughput than latency.
Question:	Can it write four tracks simultaneosly
Answer:	Audio is routed from the computer through USB-C to Evo. There are two 1/4” outputs on the back of the Evo to plug into speakers.
Question:	Does this include a usb power cable that goes from the interface to the computer
Answer:	My interface remembers its gain settings when rebooting. Both when I power cycle the unit and when my computer power cycles. Make sure you download the most up to date drivers for it.

Answer:	The inputs only record at 16-bit. It can record in either 44.1kHz or 48kHz.
Question:	Can I connect my Krk Rokit 5's to this audio interface
Answer:	There are 1/4 inch outputs on the back of the audio interface so, yes. I have mine running to my Yamaha HS5's via 1/4 inch to XLR cables. Hope that helps.

Question:	How well does this interface perform in regards to latency
Answer:	Up until recently, I could dial down the ASIO buffer to 64 samples and get about 2.5ms latency in each direction. However, it seems that recent Windows updates have wrecked ASIO4ALL, so I can only dial the ASIO buffer size to 256 samples, yielding a latency of about 10ms/21ms. Not great, but usable.

CAT

The 1970s spawned the first truly portable analog synthesizer, and while it was quickly adopted by lots of renowned musical artists including Jan Hammer, Chick Corea, Rick Wakeman, Jean-Michel Jarre, Isao Tomita and Keith Emerson to name a few, it was somewhat temperamental and very expensive.

In 1975, a new synth strolled into town. The Cat as it was called was an analog, duophonic, three octave synthesizer that was very similar to the ARP Odyssey. Its keyboard would produce two control voltages that were routed into its two VCOs. An ultra-affordable and even more feature-packed homage to that iconic synthesizer comes in the form of the Behringer CAT. Conjure up the virtually any sound imaginable with incredible finesse and ease. The pure analog signal path is based on authentic VCO, VCF and VCA designs in conjunction with 4 variable and simultaneous oscillator shapes and Duophonic/Paraphonic capabilities.

True to the Original

Great care has been taken in engineering the CAT, including the true to the original analog circuitry, legendary VCO, VCF and VCA designs that come together to recreate classic tones that are evocative of classic electronic music. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives the CAT its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability. It gives you the ability to cover a lot of amazing tones from super-fat bass, tasty leads – and all the way to full on dreamy ambience from the far reaches of your imagination.

Big, Fat Tones

The synthesizer tracks laid down in the 1970s and 80s in progressive rock, wave and synth-pop have become classics and have inspired many other artists. The CAT lets you recreate all that magic – or design some incredible and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!

Keyboard Control

The CAT has the ability to accept any keyboard controller via MIDI. The signals generated can be tweaked via the Pitch Bend slider which can bend a note up or down one octave. Bump this up to two octaves by flipping the Octave Shift switch up or down. Use the Glide slider to change how fast a note transitions to another; up is faster, down is slower. Combine that with the LFO Freq slider to control the LFO and ADSR repeat tempo and you can create some amazing pulsating portamentos.

Two VCOs are Better

The very heart of the CAT’s sound is its two VCOs. The Duophonic/Paraphonic nature of the CAT allows both oscillators to be controlled independently. Use the Fine and Coarse Frequency controls to tune VCO1 to VCO2. Keyboard control on the CAT can be set to either Mono or Poly. Poly mode lets VCO1 generate the highest note played on the keyboard while VCO2 handles the lowest allowing two notes to be played simultaneously. Setting the switch to Mono mode makes VCO1 generate the lowest note depressed on the keyboard.

Make Waves

Waveform switches on both VCOs allow different waveforms to be patched in from the LFO. Choose between Sine, Square, Sample and Hold and even pitch modulation through each VCO. Turning the Modulation Depth knobs in either direction controls the intensity of the effect. VCO2 also comes with a Sync switch that locks VCO1 with it and has them act as one huge oscillator to produce more complex waveforms and dramatic results. Mix VCO1 into VCO2 or vice versa and the CAT can produce some really tasty tones that make themselves at home in your next synth jam.

Slide In

Each VCO on the CAT comes equipped with their own waveform sliders where you can adjust the volume of each type of VCO wave form. Pump up the Sub Octave, Sawtooth, Square, Triangle or Pulse waves or mix them all together and create some truly unique tones.

VCF

As if combining two VCOs wasn’t amazing enough, the CAT comes with another set of claws in the form of a VCF filter section. Here you can get more complex and robust tones by incorporating VCO1 into the mix. Introduce more waveforms and manipulate the Q slider to emphasize harmonics and Filter Cutoff slider which acts as a low-pass filter. Turn the CAT into a really funky bass machine or an out-of-this-world synth that creates some searing lead tones. You can even create some amazing drum sounds by manipulating the VCOs, VCF and ADSR.

The Envelope, Please…

To give the signal even more character, you can use the CAT’s Transient Generator to create a detailed voltage transient every time a key is depressed. Adjust the Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release via the matching sliders and to shape your signal. The AR transient generator works similarly to the ADSR but with less detailed control over the envelope. You can also set the ADSR to automatically repeat or only when a key is held down. The Sample and Hold switch can be set so the VCO1 setting is sampled or, when set to Noise mode, produce a random output pattern. Slide the LFO Delay control up or down to determine when the LFO will reach its maximum output after a key is depressed.

The Ins and Outs

The CAT features a whole slew of Inputs and Outputs that expand its capabilities beyond what you can see out of the box. You can route external control voltages to VCO1 or 2, the VCF and even pump in some external line-level audio into the CAT. You can even connect the CAT to other external synthesizers through the Gate, ADSR, AR or Keyboard Outputs. The CAT’s 16-note Poly Chain function lets you combine multiple synthesizers for up to 16-voice polyphony – and it provides vastly improved reliability and stability over its 1970s and '80s predecessors.

Answer:	Yes, although you will not be able to make adjustments (like if a channel is feeding back or a mic is too loud). The Xair has its own wifi, and I have never lost the connection, but on one occasion I shut off my IPad by accident and we played the whole set without it being connected.

Answer:	No, you can only use 2. The XLR and Line inputs on channels 1 and 2 cannot be used simultaneously. If you need to plug in 4 mics, consider a mixer with 4 preamp channels.
Question:	how do send 4 different mixes to the headphone amp? i see no other outs than mains
Answer:	Yes, it has an ac adapter. The attachment to the unit is like a miniature shielded mike jack. I have not seen a power plug of this design before. It is not a standard jack or usb input. It has a round shield and three pins. The shield is dimpled so that it only fits one way. The transformer has wires coming in and out so the plug in doesn't take up space on the wall or on your power strip. It has 120 VAC input and two outputs: 18.5 VAC 250 mA and 3.0 VAC 100 mA. There is no on/off switch on the board, so when it is plugged in, there is a bright blue light that shines showing that it is on. The only way to de-energize the board is to unplug it at the board or at the power source.

Answer:	Yes the cable works with both Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014, as I have both on my laptops, I use both since some songs can only be played with Rocksmith, so you will not have any issues using the cable for just Rocksmith, enjoy playing..............

Answer:	Hi this cord, works for ALL SYSTEMS, PS3 PS4 XBOX ONE XBOX 360 and PC

Answer:	I have not yet installed 10 so I cannot answer that accurately. It seems it works with windows 10 through Steam based on other answered questions.
Question:	This may be a dumb question but is this is like a legitimate cable for recording guitar on a laptop? Not just for the game but fo recording software
Answer:	Short answer: yes TLDR answer: You've seen computer audio interfaces with 1/4" jacks, right? This cable, under the hood, is exactly the same thing: a USB audio interface with a 1/4" cable connected to it. The only difference is you can't unplug the cable. :) As far as the computer is concerned, you're plugging in a USB audio source. The only thing that makes this a "Rocksmith cable" is that the Rocksmith game is programmed to ignore any USB audio interfaces that don't respond with the Vendor/Product ID strings it's expecting. Sorry to ruin the magic. :)
