Question:	What is the maximum thickness of material being held down
Answer:	It lays on top of the table but is controlled by the 3/4 groove so that it can't move sideways. It is a fabulous piece of equipment and worth every penny. It comes with a very nice video which takes some time to watch and get set up, but it is worth it. After you get familiar with it, it is very easy to use.
Question:	What is diameter of mounting holes? ¼" or 6mm? Its hard to tell from pictures
Answer:	The only limitations will be the size of the screws. The existing screws are 1/4 - 20's. Anything smaller or larger will create a problem for the unit when it is configured for it's original parts again. If the screws are smaller, there will be slack that will need to be dealt with. It the new screws are larger, if the unit is ever changed back to it's original parts, they will not fit.

Question:	Is it possible to use this kit with material thicker than 1-1/2 inches? I ask because the site offers spacer blocks for user with "thicker" material. It would be nice to use the kit on 2x4s for example
Answer:	The "deflector plate" is actually a gravity operated "heel" that simply drops down and hooks on the material you are pushing. There's considerable grip in the rubber pad portion of the push block, but when you reach the end of a board or similar, the heel drops down and catches on the edge of wood, permitting easy/secure push through of the wood.

Answer:	I don't have the Bench Dogs push pad but I do own 2 of these Gripper pads as well as several "plain" push pads. In my experience, the GRR-Rip Block is different in 2 ways. The Gripper has 4 "heel hooks" that hang over the edge of your work piece to get a better push on the end stock. And it can also be used on its edge (it have been formed with a 90 degree angle) so you can push stock on a router table or to stabilize wood while re-sawing on a band saw (and this is where those hooks really help). But the price of the Gripper is 2-1/2 times the Bench Dog, so the question would be: is the GRR-Rip Blockr twice as good as the Bench Dog. And I would probably say no to that. But the ultimate decision is of course yours. Hope this helped.

Question:	Does this work on particle board
Answer:	For boards it will work well. If you are cutting sheet goods I would still recommend a cross cut sled, all depending on width and length of course. I isn't designed to hold board tight but its more of a stop for many cuts the same size. There is a little play in the stop, so it is not perfect, but it is workable.
Question:	Doing small - medium sized DIY projects, what is the best jig for me? This one, the Kreg R3 Jr. or

Answer:	The kit I purchased had the jig,a bit, two drawer box supports, two clamps , and handle /knob drilling guide. As I do custom install and have to modify in the field the entire kit has been helpful and accurate all while being easy to adjust and set up on the job . Would recommend highly!
