Answer:	Yes, I have recharged quite a few but there is a work-a-round. Place the lithium battery in the charger & allow to recharge overnight. If you remove them when the light turns green, the recharge will be very weak. Alkaline batteries recharge best when recharged before they go dead. If you have very weak batteries, allow them to sit in the charger 4 hours after the green light appears as this will trickle charge but do not leave an alkaline battery in the charger like this longer than 12 hours. I have used this excellent product for many years. My son, brother & nephew all use this same charger.

Answer:	No, This charger seem to have enough brains to know how to charge the batteries of all three types. No to your second question. Cs and Ds are charged individually in each point, so their max is only 4 at a time total.

The user manual clearly indicates that 240V 50Hz power is OK. The only problem you will have is the plug. The two-prong plug is designed for U.S. outlets. Of course, any plug adapter will solve that problem.Basically, the answer is yes.

Answer:	I found a trick online that RESTORED ALL MY BATTERIES. It looks like magic but it worked for me on 8 batteries. You can google it and find the videos. Basically: find two short wires. Connect a bad battery with a good battery for 3-4 seconds (male to male, female to female). This will resurrect the bad battery but drain the good one. Now charge them both. Again, this trick salvaged 8 batteries I already put for recycling.

Answer:	No. From the description: "Charges 4 kinds of batteries: Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium), Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride), Alkaline and RAM (Rechargeable Alkaline Manganese)." Don't use chargers for anything other than what they were made for.

Answer:	It appears that only the NiCAD battery type will discharge in this unit before charging it. I have some old NiCAD's & watched the charging status & it shows that it's discharging before it switches to charge status.

Answer:	Yes, I also am having the same problem charging C batteries right now. The charge cycle will flash on and off sometimes (15 or more minutes) later showing ok, even though the battery is only at .8v on the multimeter.

Answer:	That depends on the capacity of the battery. My D batteries are 10,000 mAh and average about 5 -7 hours. A 3000 mAh like the rechargeable D's from Harbor Freight would be a considerably shorter time. A longer charge time is better for batteries long term since they are charged at a lower rate. Flash chargers or 1 hour chargers blast the battery at a higher rate and in my opinion shorten the life.
