User questions & answers
Question: | Will this cut the extra wire off a passthrough connector |
Answer: | The multi-functional wire cutter is capable of cutting off the extra wire but I would have to see what you're referring to in order to know if this tool will work for you. The cutting edge is set back on the jaw and the wire-stripping edge is at the front of the jaw so if you could get your extra wire into the back of the cutting jaw than you should be good. |
Question: | is this a toner? can I search for a specific wire in the network room |
Answer: | Yes . the tester toner makes a noise allowing you to track a rj11/rj45 though a building. Used it today. |
Question: | Just got this and a few questions . Does it not come with batteries? Also a little confused with the tester, how can I test male to male cat |
Answer: | You will need to buy 9volt batteries for both. Male ends rj11/rj45 plug into device. Use the other device to find the wire. |
Question: | Does this kit come with instructions on how to use the tester or the cable |
Answer: | No, there are no written instructions in the kit. I went to google/youtube for examples on how to use or cable. |
